Close Pelosi ally Rep. Jan Schakowsky backs impeachment inquiry

Source: Washington Post

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (Ill.), a member of the House Democratic leadership, is calling for an impeachment inquiry into President Trump, arguing that doing so will allow lawmakers to obtain more evidence of the president’s alleged misconduct.

The move is likely to put greater pressure on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who has repeatedly rebuffed calls from members of her caucus to open such an inquiry.

“Today, I am announcing that I believe that the House of Representatives should begin an impeachment inquiry, officially, because President Trump certainly has committed all kinds of offenses that meet the standard of impeachment, high crimes and misdemeanors,” Schakowsky said in a video posted on her official website late Wednesday.

“Instituting the impeachment inquiry will actually enable us to get more information, more documents, have the force of the Constitution behind us to get even more evidence of the president’s deserving to be impeached,” she said.

Hope Hicks and the White House lawyers show yesterday should have been the last straw.
We have 272 proven contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia and the Mueller
report gave 10 cases of obstruction of justice by Trump and company. Enough is enough
and if therepublicans in the senate want to stand should to shoulder with that traitor fine,
let 'em.

I need a break because this was yesterday alone.

The Saudi Crown Prince was and is connected to the murder and dismemberment of
Mr. Khashoggi. Trump, Kushner, and Pompeo all tried to cover it up and in Kushner's
case he might have helped by providing classified info to M.B.S..

4 Russians indicted for shooting down the airliner over the Ukraine and they were
connected to the FSB and the GRU both of which screwed with out 2016 elections.

Mike Pence's national security advisor is linked to the NRA/Russian spy Maria Butina.

Hope Hicks.

But in the end what about HRC's emails?

I forgot about Deutsche Bank/Money Laundering/Trump too.

We have never taken in 10 cents from China but we would lose 500 billion dollars a year
and we rebuilt China they have done a great job but they took us for suckers ...

How did I miss this? Ivanka Trump, Kushner took in as much as $135M last year

Ivanka Trump, Kushner took in as much as $135M last year

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/ivanka-trump-4m-dc-hotel-year-63719453

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner took in as much as $135 million in revenue during their second year as aides to President Donald Trump, generated from their vast real estate holdings, stocks and bonds and even a book deal, according to their financial disclosures released Friday.

Ivanka Trump's stake in her family's Washington, D.C., hotel down the street from the Oval Office generated $3.95 million in revenue in 2018, barely changed from a year earlier. The hotel, a favorite gathering spot for foreign diplomats and lobbyists, is at the center of two federal lawsuits claiming Donald Trump is violating the Constitution's ban on foreign government payments to the president.

Another big Ivanka Trump holding, a trust that includes her personal business selling handbags, shoes and accessories, generated at least $1 million in revenue in 2018, down from at least $5 million the year before. Ivanka Trump announced in July of last year that she planned to close her fashion company to focus on her work as a White House adviser for her father.

Kushner appears to have cut his debt. He had loans and lines of credit worth at least $27 million at the end of last year, down from a minimum value of $40 million the previous year. His lenders include Bank of America, Citi Group and Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank is also a major lender to President Trump's company and has been subpoenaed by congressional investigators looking into his finances.

I'm worried that if I keep up swimming @ night...

... I might become too perfect.

New York Magazine (2016) This is New York in the not-so-distant future

Even locals who believe climate change is real have a hard time grasping that their city will almost certainly be flooded beyond recognition.

Klaus Jacob, a German professor affiliated with Columbia’s University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, is a geophysicist by profession and a doomsayer by disposition. I’ve gotten to know him over the past few years, as I’ve sought to understand the greatest threat to life in New York as we know it. Jacob has a white beard and a ponderous accent: Imagine if Werner Herzog happened to be a renowned expert on disaster risk. Jacob believes most people live in an irrational state of “risk denial,” and he takes delight in dispelling their blissful ignorance. “If you want to survive an earthquake, don’t buy a brownstone,” he once cautioned me, citing the catastrophic potential of a long-dormant fault line that runs under the city. When Mayor Bloomberg announced nine years ago an initiative to plant a million trees, Jacob thought, That’s nice — but what about tornadoes?

For the past 15 years or so, Jacob has been primarily preoccupied with a more existential danger: the rising sea. The latest scientific findings suggest that a child born today in this island metropolis may live to see the waters around it swell by six feet, as the previously hypothetical consequences of global warming take on an escalating — and unstoppable — force. “I have made it my mission,” Jacob says, “to think long term.” The life span of a city is measured in centuries, and New York, which is approaching its fifth, probably doesn’t have another five to go, at least in any presently recognizable form. Instead, Jacob has said, the city will become a “gradual Atlantis.”

President Donald Trump is set to officially announce he’s seeking re-election in 2020 at a rally on June 18 in Orlando at the Amway Center.

In one of Trump’s most recent tweets Wednesday morning, the president claims this event will be “the hottest of them all” with 74,000 ticket requests made for the event already.

I don't think I'm the right demographic for this kind of offer I just got from "Jets.Com."

Dear Friends, Fliers & Prospective Fliers:

When making a decision on who to turn to for your private flight needs it is very easy to be fooled by the glitz & glamour of some of our competitors.

A simple side-by-side comparison of Jets .Com vs Wheels-Up will show you exactly why so many fliers are choosing Jets .Com as their Citation Excel provider.
