West Virginia and Manchin to get a boost from mine cleanups

It is so nice to see grow ups back. This is a win win win. A win for Biden because Manchin might become more of
a partner on future projects, a win for the state of W.V. because this means money and jobs, and a win for the
environment too. Now W.V. will still vote red in the short run but in the long run this is good the economy of W.V.
because a lot of its economy is based on outdoor recreation such as hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and rafting.

West Virginia will be one of the main beneficiaries of the more than $260 million for coal mine reclamation grants announced Monday by the Interior Department, less than a week after Joe Manchin, the state's senior senator, endorsed President Joe Biden's nominee to run the department, Deb Haaland.

States such as West Virginia and Wyoming that have suffered the most from dramatic declines in coal demand will get most of that money through grants that aim to provide an economic boost to communities that long depended on the mines for their livelihood.

snip

"The job of cleaning up our lands and waters and revitalizing our communities doesn't end with this round of grant announcements — or the next," Davis said. "We look forward to working with Congress to ensure that we can make the needed investments to clean up abandoned mines, as well as orphan oil and gas wells, across the country."

snip

"I thank President Biden for his strong support for these much-needed programs and I look forward to continuing to work closely together to ensure these hardworking communities are protected and given new economic opportunities," Manchin said.

This is one of the people that Trump "called out" @ CPAC. Rep. Anthony Gonzales

Anthony Gonzales ... 4 year starter @ Ohio State and he played in the NFL too. Rep. Gonzales voted to hold
Trump accountable for the mob that violently attacked the US Capitol on 1/6/21. I know that it will never
happen but I would love to see Trump get in his face.

Can President Biden make the cabinet picks that are being blocked "Acting Members" of his admin.?

It is just about March and some of his picks are still being held up.
The same people who voted for totally unqualified cabinet picks by
Trump are now "finding Jesus" and saying some of Joe's picks are not
up to standards.

BTW one of the reasons I think the GOP is blocking Joe's picks and ideas
is that they will be very popular and make the new diverse Democratic
Party that Joe & the K-Bomb are building a crushing force.

I think I have found true love .... I just got this email and all she needs is my credit card info

I think that it is time for us to start the new year with real love.
Now don't you believe I'm correct?
Maybe we can connect someday.
I actually born in Germany, I resided over there right up until I turned nine, and today I have a home in Ukraine.
I haven’t met a guy inside my region and desired to attempt to search on-line.
Please let me know just what area do you now live in?
It's actually amazing that using the help of the online world, we can analyze each other far better.
Now I'm thirty-two yrs, currently an adult for the really serious connection, I don't need anyone to experiment with my feelings that's no doubt.
My parents named me Leo by the way, however you are welcome to just simply call me Leo.
In case you are serious in learning me far better, then we could continue our chat.
Did you like the image of myself, that I have included in the attachment?
You truly do not have to answer back in case you didn't enjoy it.
Now i am looking to find a male who is older than me, not aggressive, delicate, and who can really look after me and deal with me proper.
I will also be glad to get your picture along with your message if you are curious.
I really hope you won't really make me delay very long and can answer shortly.

Rudy is an asshole: Golf world rallies around Michelle Wie West following Rudy Giuliani comments

I know this story is small potatoes compared to Trump paying for a violent overthrow of our democracy but Good God in Butter is Rudy Giuliani is an asshole. Rudy, “I saw a women’s underwear.” What is the matter with him? Turns out Nike makes women’s golf skirts with shorts and panties already in them so perv jobs like Rudy can’t get too excited about seeing some women’s panties.

*************

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/02/22/golf/michelle-wie-west-rudy-giuliani-golf-spt-intl/index.html

The golfing world has rallied around Michelle Wie West following comments made by Donald Trump's former lawyer Rudy Giuliani "objectifying" the five-time LPGA Tour winner.

The former New York mayor appeared last Thursday on the 'War Room' podcast hosted by Trump's ex-adviser Steve Bannon and was remembering a round of golf he played with Wie West and the late talk show host Rush Limbaugh at a charity event in 2014.

As he recalls it, Limbaugh was complaining about the "paparazzi" and blamed Giuliani, only for the former New York mayor to point out photographers were for the then Wie -- she married Jonnie West, director of basketball operations for the Golden State Warriors in 2019.

"On the green is Michelle Wie and she is getting ready to putt," Giuliani said on the podcast on Thursday. "Now Michelle Wie is gorgeous. She's six feet. And she has a strange putting stance. She bends all the way over. And her panties show. And the press was going crazy.”

snip

Wie West called Giuliani's story "highly inappropriate" and "unsettling."
"What this person should have remembered from that day was the fact that I shot 64 and beat every male golfer in the field leading our team to victory. I shudder thinking that he was smiling to my face and complimenting me on my game while objectifying me and referencing my ‘panties' behind my back all day," said Wie West in a Twitter post.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association also posted on social media in support of Wie West.
"She's a 5-time LPGA Tour winner. Major champion. LPGA Board member, elected by her peers. Stanford graduate. Working mother. We stand with @MichelleWieWest.”

At stake in Senate hearing Tuesday: The story of the Capitol riot, and who is responsible

Source: Washington Post

But Tuesday's hearing before members of two Senate committees could also become a battleground for competing narratives over what prompted the riot and who was responsible for it -- a question that has become even more pointed following former president Donald Trump's acquittal on an impeachment charge earlier this month.

Trump's allies in Congress and beyond have sought to downplay Trump's role in gathering his supporters in Washington and spreading the false claim that he, not President Biden, won the November election -- facts that led to bipartisan impeachment proceedings. Instead, they have sought to blame lapses by Capitol security officials -- and the congressional leaders they report to -- for the building's invasion.

snip

"This is a moment to get the actual facts about what happened at the Capitol," she (Sen. Amy Klobuchar) said. "The issues we identify and the answers we get are part of the solution, so this isn't just about throwing popcorn at a movie screen to try to get sound bites. We actually have to make decisions in the coming months."

snip

While neither Irving nor Stenger has addressed the matter directly, a former Capitol security official who spoke to The Washington Post last month at Irving's request relayed that Irving dismissed Sund's request to place National Guard troops on call, citing the "optics" of stationing uniformed military personnel at the seat of federal government.

The Truth will come out starting today. And that is the riot was Trump and company's doing.

Trump gave out invites to the riot by giving out the day, the date, the time and the place.
Trump helped to pay for the riot by using campaign funds.
Trump had his acting head of the DoD decapitate the D.C. National Guard 2 days prior to the riot.
Trump was told by Rep. McCarthy of the violence around and inside the Capitol and refused to
put a stop to it.

BTW a majority of republicans blame Antifa* for the riot and some even think that the riot was Nancy
Pelosi's fault.
