The Backlash Continues! Lion Killer Walter Palmers PR Firm Quits As African Officials Close In
Lion killer Walter Palmer just lost one of his only allies: RadarOnline.com has learned that the public relations firm formerly associated with the American dentist has quit, as the outrage against his alleged poaching of Cecil the lion continues to mount.
After being publicly outed by the London Telegraph, Dr. Palmer hired J. Austin & Associates, a public relations firm.
Wednesday afternoon, the public relations firms issued a statement on social media, stating their work with Palmer was finished.
Yesterday another PR firm asked to help distribute Dr. Palmers statement. Having completed that task, weve ended our work on this issue, the post on Twitter stated.

And then the clown car had 17: Former VA Gov James Gilmore (R) announces
http://www.mtv.com/news/2227715/jim-gilmore-president-republican-17-virginiaJames Jim Gilmore, former governor of Virginia, is running for president. Gilmore joins 16 other presidential hopefuls vying for the Republican partys nomination for 2016. Although his formal announcement is planned for sometime next week, right before the first Republican debate (Aug. 6), Gilmore has already filed all his paperwork to make his candidacy official.
Gilmore said he believes that the 2016 race is running differently than previous presidential races, with no real front-runner on the GOP side just yet and thats why he thinks he has a real shot. The difference is with many, many candidates in there, there is room to have your voice heard, he said.

Hi Skinner: We need TOS Clarification. Re: This post, in your opinion is it a TOS violation?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=7018315DUer posted a person's business contact info. The Dentist accused of killing the famous lion. Does the business info of someone in the service industry violate the TOS provision regarding posting personal info?
Thanks in advance

I love Ed Schultz. I wish he was keeping his show, but his ratings made the show unsustainable
I don't know what viewers are looking for, but whatever 'it' is, Ed wasn't getting it done. Same with Hayes. Both were getting clobbered not just by Fox but by CNN. I don't think making this into a conspiracy is helpful.
What we need is some kind of expert think tank on the Liberal side to figure out how to get folks to tune in to liberal media.
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/thursday-cable-ratings-ed-schultz-hits-new-low-of-25k-in-demo/
Ratings for MSNBCs The Ed Show continue to fall and Thursday saw a new low for the 5 p.m. program with just 25K viewers in the 25-54 demo tuning in. Thats about ten times less than Fox News The Five, which had 245K and a quarter of CNNs The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, which had 95K.
From 5 to 6 p.m., MSNBCs PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton managed to more than double Ed Schultzs ratings, rising to 57K in the demo. Then, Hardball with Chris Matthews did it again at 7 p.m. with 103K.
Boy George: This is the world I was fighting for back in 1984
https://www.yahoo.com/music/boy-george-this-is-the-world-i-was-fighting-for-124819130426.htmlBack in 1972, a young South Londoner named George Alan O'Dowd saw androgynous glamazon David Bowie on Top of the Pops, and it changed his life. Roughly a decade later, when O'Dowd now cheekily known as Boy George famously performed on the same BBC program with his band Culture Club, his appearance had a similarly seismic effect on many starry-eyed pop fans. Wearing full-face kabuki makeup, flowing dreadlocks, and a knee-grazing smock dress, this girlish Boy played with concepts of sexuality and gender-bending in a way that was possibly even more radical and shocking in the '80s than Bowie had been in the '70s.
Flash-forward 30 years, as Culture Club embarks on a much-hyped (and already once-delayed) reunion tour, and the world has drastically changed. As George points out, now Sam Smith can say, 'Im gay, and no one goes on about it, and Caitlyn Jenner has been enthusiastically embraced by the media and public at large. George is humble, but acknowledges that he and Culture Club helped pave the way.
I always think that change is like a daisy chain, says George, speaking exclusively to Yahoo Music in the Mens Chorus dressing room at one of Culture Club tours stops, Los Angeless Greek Theatre. People that kind of made my life easier, like Bowie, Quentin Crisp, Oscar Wilde, Sylvester, Klaus Nomi, it goes on and on and on there are people that get the glory. And maybe I was one of the ones that got the glory, in the same way as Caitlyn Jenner [is now]; you know, theres a lot of other transgender people, but Caitlyn is in the moment when people are willing to embrace that. I think thats such a beautiful thing.
"And in a funny sort of way, its the world that I wanted to be in. Its that world I was fighting for in 1984. That was what I wanted. I wanted people not to care about whether you were gay, straight, black, white, transgender, whatever it may be That being said, theres more work to be done I still want to change the world, absolutely. And I feel like we did back then was part of that.
I thought you might all appreciate this post.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=468473I just can't believe how delicate some of the folks are regarding their candidate, folks we all here in the BOG I am sure remember and recognize as relentless critics of Baracks.
Memphis cop fatally shoots black teen after mistaking him for someone else, family says
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/07/memphis-cop-fatally-shoots-black-teen-after-mistaking-him-for-someone-else-family-says/#.Va0Xg98a25w.twitterA mother in Memphis said over the weekend that a case of mistaken identity led to police tragically killing her 19-year-old son.
Investigators told WSMV that Darrius Stewart was the passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over on Friday night for a broken headlight. The driver was cited for the headlight and was allowed to leave, but Stewart was detained over several outstanding warrants, including a sex-related offense in Iowa and failure to appear in Illinois.
Officials said that when the officer returned to the car to handcuff Stewart, the suspect kicked the door open and fought with the officer. Blurry cell phone video showed the two men struggling on the ground before the officer fired his weapon to end the fight. Stewart later died after being transported to Regional Medical Center.
The teens mother explained to WSMV that this was not the first time her son had been stopped by police because someone with the same name had outstanding warrants. They told him he could leave because he wasnt the one they were looking for, but to be safe, because there is someone out there with the same name and a lot of warrants, she recalled.

The mother also said that she did not understand why an officer who was much larger than her son needed to use deadly force to end the fight. The officer standing 6-feet tall or 6-2, weighing over 200 pounds. My son standing 5 feet or 5-6, weighing about a hundred pounds, she noted. How is it possible?
Bland was pulled out of her car window by the arresting officer.
http://www.khou.com/story/news/local/2015/07/17/demonstrators-seek-answers-in-sandra-bland-jail-death/30300813/A friend said she called him from jail Friday night and told him her version of what happened.
"She was smoking when he pulled her over. Told her to put her cigarette out, she had an exchange of words and it just went downhill. She said he snatched her out of the window and slammed her on her face," LaVaughn Mosely said.
