applegrove's JournalWell said. And those who make history can change the world. Ferguson seems
to think the same applies to economics...that just applying a different narrative can make an other successful economic outcome. That's not true. There are verifiable laws in economics.
Koch brothers are responsible for creating all the thinking. They are responsible
for it all. You can't just do all the leg work to create emotions & beliefs in people, nuture that for years, come at your creation from many sides and when shit happens say you are not responsible because you weren't there when it happened. That would be psychopathic.
Hey doesn't Obamacare raise wages in the marketplace? Because
are no longer locked into jobs (because someone in their family might have a pre-existing condition)? So people can go for better jobs? So corporations will have to compete for the best people? Why would corporations want to face a more competitive labour market? Another way government intervention helps markets.
Because moving from job to job is one way successful people can make sure they are getting paid what they are actually worth. Less profit for a corporations.
Another reason why the political arm of the GOP is so afraid of
Obamacare: they have to run on dismantling it and win both the house and senate to dismantle it. Meanwhile, the Democrats will be able to run on it forever. It would be a big drag on the Republican brand. Because it will work. People will like it. And the Democrats will run on it.
Is shutting the government down also to increase the want to privatize government?
Cause manipulators often have more than one reason for their actions. So actually destroying the full faith and credit is an end goal too.

Talking about how inequality is rising under Obama. Is this not the result of Bush
and other conservative policies over the last 30 years? Including the banking crisis. When Reagan had the economic growth was it not the result of equality policies of the previous 50 years? That is why Regan was so successful and Obama is not.
But people learn from the bad times
Ah they want regulation for private property and financial institutions. Just not
when the regulations do not directly benefit them (by financial regulations I mean regulations that protect the ownership of wealth). They use Tarek al-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi, the Tunisian fruit seller who was harassed by the police for bribes and killed himself starting the arab spring uprisings, as an example of regulations hurting people. Fact is those police in Tunisia needed to be regulated to not ask for bribes and those regulations needed to be enforced. Tunisia needed more regulation not less.
Do you want a place to tell your stories on the DU? We all have a few of these amazing
stories hanging around just waiting for a forum to share them in. Old standards or new ones that happen to us today. Show your interest by K & R this thread.
The GOP was acting like a disorganized tropical storm. Obama has just organized them and given them
an eye. Way to take the bull by the horns and define the GOP for the 2014 elections. The GOP talking heads are doing all they can to try and undo the picture Obama painted today. DU please make this a meme out there. Repeat it whenever you can.
Here is what Obama said:
"I think the really interesting question is why it is that my friends in the other party have made the idea of preventing these people from getting health care their holy grail, their number one priority," Obama said Friday at a press conference. "Their unifying principle is making sure 30 million people don't have health care."
