Now, right now is Putin's chance.

When the sun come up, Claim victory and go home. Tell the Russian people that Russian troops have eliminated the Nazis, Removed the drug dealers, set Ukraine back on the strait and narrow. Solved all the Russian problems and now it is time to go home.

Now is his chance to claim victory and go home.

Congresswoman Kaptur on Lawrence ODonnell was great.

She took pride in selling President Biden's accomplishments. She is the longest serving female Member currently serving in Congress. She has seen a lot, and is impressed with, and proud to work with this Administration and the good it does. Hopefully other Democrats will go out and sell the package and the Administrations hard work.

Very strong quote on legitimate political discourse

Jennifer Mercieca has hit the nail on the head. The second paragraph says it all!

https://thefulcrum.us/big-picture/Leveraging-big-ideas/what-is-legitimate-political-discourse-and-does-it-include-the-jan-6-attack-on-the-capitol

I don’t know who she is, but wow, she hit the fucking nail right on the head.

The Republican National Committee would like Americans to focus on the peaceful protesters who gathered on Jan. 6, 2021, to hear President Donald Trump’s speech at the Ellipse – and ignore the violence at the Capitol.

If we look at the Ellipse, we see a vibrant, and legitimate, political protest with signs, chants and speeches. If we look at the Capitol, by contrast, we see illegitimate political violence, including people using bear spray, erecting a hangman’s noose and assaulting others.

The link between them was Trump’s speech. He used a particular combination of rhetorical strategies, calling for a plague to be removed so that the nation could be pure again; threatening force; and claiming that his group was good, strong, pure and sure of victory. He also made claims of victimhood, of having had something stolen from him and his supporters. This specific combination of rhetorical strategies has traditionally been used to motivate a nation for war

Confusion over former VP Pence comments yesterday

I have to admit, I have only seen clips and not the whole speech, but some people seem to think it heroic that Mike Pence is stating that he did not have the power to overturn the election. He seems to still hold to the big lie though. He does not say I can’t overturn because we lost by 7 million votes and a landslide (trumps terms) in the electoral college, he just says the constitution does not let him overturn the election.

No profile in courage is he, the double talking, no good fucktard. You lost the election, any comments on the electoral college vote count and or 1/6 have to start with “ we tried to steal an election and got caught”. Enough with the “Big Lie” bullshit. You tried to steal an election and got caught. Now in an attempt to not be prosecuted based on the investigation, you start to backpeddle.

Step up, be the man “mother” thinks you are, admit the truth and let the chips fall where they may.

My take away big take away is enough of the big lie, call it what it is, the attempted theft of an election and the attempted end of American Democracy.
