In all my 64 years,

I had 2 friends since birth. Since the day I was born they were in my life. We all lived on the same street in Torrance CA. One of my 2 lifelong friends died 3 years ago. The other one has just now decided to be active on fb.

We're having a fight.

How dare I criticize Trump, no one else has had to deal with what he has. Hillary is a bitch.

I'm just venting. I have had to work pretty hard even before this to maintain this friendship, but we love each other because we've known each other forever. We know each other's history like few others. We have been through some shit together. However, she's a die hard racist (who won't admit it) and for some reason I cannot fathom is apparently a fan of trump.

No worries though; she has never voted and swears she never will. I usually shut her up with that observation, but I may have to just delete her BS on fb. She lives in a different state and it's not unusual to go months without talking. it's just that when we do talk, it's like no time passed at all, because we have known each other forever. you know?

i don't want advice. i just wanted to share that my heart is breaking slightly right now.

This is driving me crazy.

I posted this on fb but wanted to share here as well. It's so frustrating to me that the local news and apparently even the Health Department are validating Trump's assertion that less tests = less cases!

This is driving me crazy: "Health officials attribute Saturday’s spike in cases to a drastic increase in testing, with an all-time high of 26,378 daily tests completed."

No. The tests didn't make the cases, the VIRUS did. What these numbers mean to me is that the numbers we have been provided to date are under-reported. Less testing means less REPORTED cases, but has no effect on the number of cases, except that both the number of reported cases and actual cases could have been mitigated by knowing who had the virus, along with contact tracing, quarantining, and retesting until negative.

When you say the spike in cases is due to an increase in testing, you sound like Trump. The virus is where it is. The infection rate is what it is. We still don't know the whole story and likely will not for decades.

Just tell the truth. Do not channel the worst president in history and leave people believing that less tests means less cases. That kind of thinking will kill people.

Just learned that David Greenfield of the Stranglers died from SARS-CoV-2

He was 71 and was in the hospital for heart problems then the virus got him.

I love this song.
