As school shootings are on the rise, Republicans are responding by making firearms easier to obtain.
I'm just wondering if this ties-in to the GOP's position on abortion.
Are Republican lawmakers and elected officials afraid that if there are fewer schoolkids in future, the people they are arming today won't have enough targets tomorrow?

For years, we have watched you prance around at Trump rallies, festooned like clowns in costumes that no self-respecting adult would ever consider wearing, as you display your ungrammatical, misspelled signs. It's almost like you're proud of being illiterate buffoons.
We have heard you interviewed at pro-Trump events, ranting on about how Trump is actually still the president, and how Joe Biden is a body-double being manipulated by George Soros. We have heard you claim that 'any day now'. the world will know that Trump has been running the country all along - except, of course, the things you don't like, such as funding Zelenskyy, which still-in-charge Trump somehow has no control over despite still being pOTUS.
We have listened as you continue to regurgitate the Big Lie of a 'stolen election', despite the fact that two-and-a-half years after that election, not a single shred of evidence proving that claim has ever surfaced.
We have watched as you claim to be good Christians while proclaiming that Trump is your saviour. I guess you never heard the commandment "I am the Lord thy God, and you will place no other god before me." It's number one on the list - not sure how you missed it.
We have listened to your endless claims that Democrats will take your freedoms away - while GOP
lawmakers proclaim what you're 'allowed' to read, what you're 'allowed' to wear, what you're allowed to say.
We have watched as you champion politicians who promote such mindless bullshit as Jewish Space Lasers, peach-tree dishes, and the Gazpacho Police, We have watched as you praise politicians who spew conspiracy theories that every citizen with a modicum of common sense finds laughable.
And now we have yet another school shooting - and yet again, you follow the lead of your so-called representatives who have declared - in no uncertain terms - that easy access to automatic weapons is NOT the problem, because Drag Queens reading stories to children is the REAL THREAT.
We know WHAT you are, MAGAts. You are the racist bigots who are far too stupid to understand exactly how stupid you are. You consistently vote against your own interests because you think you're 'owning the libs'. You worship a 'stable genius' who advocated injecting bleach in response to a world-wide pandemic, promoted the idea of 'nuking hurricanes' in response to climate change, and declared that the American Revolution succeeded because the colonists shut down the airports in 1776.
Here's the bottom line, MAGAts: You can cease and desist in your efforts to demonstrate just how ignorant. how deranged, how detached from reality you are. It's been on display for years now, and we get the point. Continuing to persist in proving it is just an exercise in futility.

... investigate a candidate's record/policies on gun control.
If you don't, you might go on to elect the person who put a gun in the hands of your own child's murderer.

I don't believe that Trump will run in '24, because he will have a physical and/or mental breakdown before then - probably before the end of this year.
He is acting more deranged, more unhinged, more out-of-control than he's been in the past - which is saying a lot. He is making statements that even the most reliable ass-kisser Republicans are finding it impossible to cover for.
And ALL OF THIS maniacal behaviour was triggered by one looming indictment - so one wonders what MORE indictments, MORE lawsuits, MORE testimony and evidence will do to an already adle-brained idiot who is as delusional as he is determined to take the entire GOP with him if he goes down.
Over the next few months, the Republican party will have to distance itself from Trump's increasingly-deranged statements, and his obvious calls for violence. They will have no choice but to do so, if they want to survive politically.

Children ARE Being Groomed ...
Thanks to the GOP's policies on education, American children are being groomed to become poorly-educated adults doomed to low-paying jobs because they lack the basic skills to compete for higher-wage occupations. They will enter adulthood bereft of critical thinking skills, because books that help develop those skills are being banned.
Thanks to the GOP's views on immigration, American children are being groomed as future bigots and white supremacists who believe that anyone who doesn't look like them, speak like them, or practice the same religion they do is an enemy that must be destroyed. Immigrants have been the backbone of America's growth and prosperity - but children aren't being taught their own country's history now, so they have no way of knowing that.
Thanks to the GOP's stance on women's reproductive rights, male American children are being groomed to become misogynists who have authority over women, and female children are being groomed to become future Handmaids who will meekly accept their position as second-class citizens.
Thanks to the GOP's position on LGBTers, American children are being groomed to become ignorant adults who live in abject fear of anything that is 'different' or that they don't understand.
Thanks to the GOP's policies on gun control, American children are being groomed to accept that they are targets for school-shooters - and those who survive childhood are being groomed as potential mass-shooters themselves.
And thanks to the GOP's current blatherings about January 6th et al, American children are being groomed to become adults who have absolutely no faith in our elections, our government institutions, or the rule of law. They are being groomed to become deranged lunatics who will gladly destroy democracy itself - if and when their groomers tell them to do so.
So beware of the real groomers, my friends. They are NOT the drag queens who are reading to your children, or 'woke' toy manufacturers who sell different-coloured LEGO characters, or candy-makers who produce 'woke' M&Ms.
They are the Republicans who are grooming your children to become illiterate, unthinking, unfeeling, knuckle-dragging, assault-rifle-toting idiots who have no respect for their countrymen - and no self-respect at all.
We've all heard and used the traditional phrases ...
... that describe stupid people: Dumb as a rock, dumb as a bag of hammers, too stupid to come in out of the rain,
et cetera.
Given today's state of political affairs, shouldn't the term "Dumb as a MAGAt" be the more popular terminology?
It's a phrase that more succinctly defines stupidity, and encompasses the wide range of idiotic bullshit being espoused/believed by Trump-humpers across the nation.

Where is the outrage from the FOX people?
I've been reading/hearing that a lot of MAGAts have dismissed the texts. audios, statements and testimony of FOX-News anchors as being 'fake news' fabricated by Democrats.
If they truly believe that is the case, aren't they even the least bit curious as to why not a single person at FOX has taken to the airwaves to protest having 'false statements' being attributed to them?
Why is Tucker Carlson not using his airtime to blast the liars who 'fabricated' texts - e.g. "I hate him (Trump) passionately"? Why is no one at FOX disputing the validity of their own texts, or even trying the time-honoured dodge of claiming to have been quoted out of context?
'Tis a puzzlement - but not when you consider how many Tucker viewers watched his recent version of the J6 insurrection and decided that what they saw with their own eyes and heard with their own ears never actually happened.
I cannot even imagine how utterly stupid one needs to be to not even question WHY the FOX people aren't firing back at all the 'fake news' being circulated about them.
But then again, if you believe that Biden is coming to your house to confiscate your gas stove, I guess you'll believe anything.
How about "The REAL Real Housewives of America"?
How about a 'reality TV show' that focuses on what REAL American women are concerned about?
How about hearing from women who are more concerned about their daughters' right to a abort a fetus implanted by a rapist and/or a family member than they are about having enough closet space to accommodate their 4,000 pairs of shoes?
How about featuring women who think that being relegated to second-class citizenship because they have NO autonomy over their own bodies is more important than how their last manicure was 'disappointing', or how the caterer botched their most recent cocktail party by serving the 'wrong' caviar?
How about listening to REAL American housewives who wonder how their children are being 'protected' from reading books and from drag shows, but not from whack-jobs who are being given easier access to firearms.
How about a "REAL Real Housewives" show that includes REAL housewives who don't spend their on-screen time talking about how their multi-billionaire husbands are too cheap to pay for the 'services' their tennis pros and their pool boys are rendering while Daddy-Big-Bucks is out of town.
For the record, I HATE so-called 'reality shows' - but if there's someone out there who has the balls to present the "REAL Real Housewives of America", I'll gladly tune-in.
Message from GOP to MAGAts:
Don't support 'woke' corporations, organizations, or policies.
Don't buy 'woke' toys, or 'woke' candy for your children.
Don't allow your kids to be educated by 'woke' teachers.
Don't shop at 'woke' grocery stores, or fill-up at 'woke' gas stations.
Don't vote for 'woke' politicians.
Don't fall for the lies of 'woke' scientists and doctors, who rely on 'woke' ideas like scientific and medical facts.
Don't allow 'woke' people to serve in our military.
Don't let 'woke' judges determine what the law is.
But above all else:
Don't ask us what 'woke' is, because we haven't a fucking clue.
What part of "FUCK NO!!!" do Republicans not get?
After the outrage of Roe v Wade being overturned - when the vast majority of citizens are for access to safe and legal abortions - the GOP decided to double-down on removing a woman's right to choose by passing draconian legislation that even further restricts women's autonomy over their own bodies.
"Think of the innocent children we're saving," they said - completely oblivious to the fact that ten-year-old 'children' could be forced to carry a rapist's baby to term. Let me go out on a limb here and say that most Americans, regardless of political affiliation, find this abhorrent.
The GOP's current stance on eliminating LGBT+ rights is equally astounding in its downright stupidity. How many voters actually believe that things like shutting down drag shows will improve their own lives? How many voters think that drag queens reading to children is the most important issue facing the nation today?
And then there's the GOP assault on education, complete with book banning/burning. Aside from the most pig-ignorant assholes who have never even read a book, who is the GOP hoping to appeal to?
As we've seen from the devastatingly low turnout at CPAC, rhetoric about Biden's 'faiiures' - e.g. job creation, student debt relief, rebuilding our infrastructure, lowering the price of insulin are - to hear the powers-that-be in the GOP - not nearly as important as ensuring that every whack-job in the country has easy access to assault weapons.
Now that the 'face' of the Republican party is Marjorie "Jewish Space Lasers and National Divorce" Taylor-Greene, Lauren "Biden Shut-Down the Country due to Covid in 2020 when Trump was president" Boebert, et al, I'm not envisioning voters rushing to the polls to support the party that promised them lower gas prices, an end to inflation, and responsible government when their response to these challenges turned out to be investigating Hunter Biden's penis.
I am truly at a loss as to who the Republicans believe they're "winning over" by promoting policies that the majority of the country have already said FUCK NO! to in 2020 and 2022.
The fact that the GOP learned absolutely nothing from their overwhelming defeat in the 2022 midterms tells you all you need to know about their grasp on reality, and their inability to take FUCK NO! for an answer - no matter how loudly and clearly it's shouted.
