... but there's something about Republicans these days that just reeks of cowardice, dishonesty, stupidity, and treason.
There's also the fact that their breath has the distinct aroma of Trump's asshole.
Like I said, maybe it's just me.
But somehow, I don't think I'm alone.
It has not gone unnoticed ...
... that Republican men are obsessed of late with masculinity, and all of the things they think that word implies.
We've seen Tucker Carlson promoting testicle-tanning to increase 'manliness', Madison Cawthorn urging mothers to raise their sons to be 'monsters', and Marjorie Taylor-Greene complaining that the military is not accepting 'toxic men' into its ranks when 'toxic masculinity' should be their number one requirement.
And needless to say, the nation waits with bated breath for Josh Hawley's book, ironically titled "Manhood", given his heroic, manly actions in the face of danger on January 6.
I'm going to go out on the proverbial limb here and theorize that the reason Republican men are so desperate to prove their macho credentials is the fact that they've acted like such wusses for the past four-plus years, their being in possession of a penis and balls is seriously in doubt.
It's hard to believe that men who repeatedly got on their knees to kiss Trump's ass have any self worth as the 'men' they now claim to be.
How masculine were any of the 'manly men' who cowered as they knelt before the Orange Lard-ass and vowed to do his bidding? How 'macho' were the males who chose to be publicly castrated rather than stand up to a deranged lunatic?
The concept of what defines a 'man' may vary from person to person, group to group. But according to the GOP definition, a 'man' is a leader, a fearless warrior, a male personage who stands unafraid in the face of those who challenge their courage, their bravery, their 'masculinity'.
Apparently, the GOP 'men' have decided that their manhood is, at the very least, questionable - and in need of being 'splained.
When you are reduced to having to explain why your 'manhood IS manhood', you've already admitted that your manhood doesn't exist.
There is nothing more pathetic than a bunch of ball-less Republican men trying to prove they're being emasculated by the men AND women who recognize them for the eunuchs they have become.
Ask Yourselves, Republicans
What would you have thought if Barack Obama lost in 2012, and immediately started claiming that he'd actually "won by a landslide", and that the election was rigged or stolen?
What would you have thought if Obama started pressuring state officials to change their vote tallies, or "find" him more votes?
How would you have reacted if Obama kept ranting about a stolen election for months, despite there being no evidence to support his claim?
How would you have reacted if Obama then stood on the ellipse and incited his angry, armed supporters to storm the Capitol - a mob that included anti-white organizations known for their violent rhetoric?
What would you have thought if Obama told this angry, armed mob that it was his VP, Joe Biden, who had "let them all down" and ruined his chances of staying in office?
What would have gone through your mind as you saw the violence unfold, while Obama sat watching it on TV, refusing to call-off "his" people - who were assaulting police officers, vandalizing the Capitol, and searching for politicians to beat, or perhaps even murder?
If you're honest with yourselves, you know exactly how you would have reacted. You would have thought Barack Obama was an out-of-control, self-serving lunatic who would rather see democracy itself burned to the ground than admit he'd lost an election.
You would have thought that Obama's "supporters" were deranged cult members who would swallow any lie he told no matter how ridiculous, and would risk their own lives in order to keep those lies alive.
You would never have described the people engaging in this insurrection as "patriots", nor the events of the day as a "regular tourist day" - and what's more, you would have denounced any politician who used those terms as being beyond ludicrous.
So ask yourselves those questions, Republicans. And if and when you answer them honestly, you might begin to understand how those of us who are not part of the Trumpist cult see you and your "pResident".
Is This What You Want, Republicans?
I know that not all of you Republican voters are Trump supporters.
Some of you voted for him simply because he had an (R) behind his name. Some of you supported him in 2016 - but have since changed your mind after you've seen the damage he's caused.
But the bottom line is that your party is now in the clutches of the insanity that Trump has wrought - and it is up to the sane among you to right the GOP ship.
Do ALL Republicans want women (and female children) to be forced to carry the babies of rapists, or to die of medical complications associated with their pregnancy, or to be prevented from traveling based on a suspicion of seeking an abortion?
Do ALL Republicans believe that the victims of mass shootings and schoolroom massacres are acceptable deaths because everyone should have access to military-grade weapons without restrictions?
Do ALL Republicans feel a need to harass, belittle, and meddle in the lives of gays and lesbians, minorities, or people who don't share their religious beliefs?
Do ALL Republicans want to be represented by conspiracy theory adherents, out-of-control extremists, and politicians who actively participated in a plot to overthrow our democracy?
Do ALL Republicans want to elect members of a party who only talk about using the powers of elected office to exact revenge on the Democrats, instead of talking about meeting your needs, and improving your lives?
Right now, your party is seen as a collection of violent, racist, divisive, gun-slinging lunatics whose only interest is "owning the libs" while they destroy the country and the principles it was founded upon.
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party.
And coming to your party's aid means taking it back from those whose only goal is political power and personal gain.
Speak up now, Republican voters - before you are forever silenced by those you once trusted to speak for you, but are now only speaking for themselves.

You say that Trump loves the "little people", the hardworking middle-class. So tell us about the times he mingled with such people.
Tell us about all the events he hosted for people who couldn't cough up ten, twenty - even a hundred thousand dollar donations to his campaigns.
Tell us about the times he played golf at public courses, so he could rub shoulders with people who couldn't afford $120,000-per-year membership fees at fancy country clubs like his.
Tell us about the times he dug into his own pockets to make a donation to a charity that helped the poor - or even the struggling middle-class folks down on their luck. He claims to be a billionaire - so why has he never given a penny to charity?
Tell us about the times he's opened the doors of Mara-Lago to you "little people" who think he loves you, so he can hob-nob with farmers, plumbers, and factory workers.
We all know that you Trump-worshippers have deluded yourselves into believing all kinds of things - but believing that he loves and cares about you is the most pathetic delusion of all.
Donald Trump has spent his entire life avoiding any and all contact with people like you. He despises everything about you - from your calloused hands, to your two-bedroom/one bathroom trailer, to your grimy kids who reek of tuna casserole dinners, to your cheap haircuts and Goodwill clothing, to your garage-sale decor and your treasured "McDonald's Employee-of-the-Month" plaque that hangs in a place of honour over your fake plastic fireplace.
Donald Trump despises you - always has, always will. And if you haven't figured that out by now, you are beyond hope.

You Can't Handle The Truth!
There are a myriad of reasons why a Trump supporter wouldn't want to watch the J-6 hearings.
Their participation in politics might be limited to voting every four years, and they have no interest beyond that.
They might prefer to have their political views defined by FOX-News personalities. They might have dutifully accepted the notion that there's simply no there there, and don't want their time wasted by Trump-hating Dems pursuing yet another witch-hunt.
But there is one reason that, IMHO, outweighs all others: they fear the truth. They fear hearing things that might cause them to question whether the man they worship might not actually be the idol they've built him up to be. They fear the seeds of doubt being sown in their closed minds after years of steadfastly avoiding even the possibility of that happening. They fear the very idea that eyes might be opened, that undeniable facts might be exposed, that indefensible acts might be revealed.
Trump-humpers can't handle the truth. They've spent over five years avoiding it - and they're not going to risk the consequences of hearing it now.

The World According to Trump
Everyone who says the election wasn't stolen is lying.
Everyone who conducted an audit of votes and declared that they match the official results is lying.
Everyone who worked on processing ballots and says nothing nefarious happened is lying.
Everyone who says they were pressured into 'losing' Biden votes and/or 'finding' Trump votes is lying.
Everyone who concluded that there was no evidence of fraud proffered by his lawyers in their dozens of court cases is lying.
Everyone who says that he knew he lost the election is lying.
And now, everyone who has testified against him in the J-6 hearings is lying.
Whether they've watched the hearings or not, Trump's supporters are aware of all of this.
So at what point do they start to think that maybe - just maybe - Trump is the one who's lying, as opposed to the literally tens of thousands of people he's accused of lying in order to overturn his landslide win?
For some, there is no such point. But for some, there is - and the polls are reflecting that.
Trump is politically dead. The GOP knows it, their big campaign donors know it - everyone knows it, except the Orange Anus who is still lying to himself.
