We are Farmers, We Grow Food for the People (OWS)
The story of the historic Occupy Wall Street Farmers March.
On December 4, 2011, farmers and activists from across the country joined the Occupy Wall Street Farmers March for "a celebration of community power to regain control over the most basic element to human well-being: food." The Farmers March began at La Plaza Cultural Community Gardens where urban and rural farmers addressed an excited crowd about the growing problems in our industrial food system and the promise offered by solutions based in organic, sustainable and community based food and agricultural production. This was followed by a 3 mile march from the East Village to Zuccotti Park, the birthplace of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
We would like to thank Occupy Wall Street, the OWS food justice working group and all the farmers and citizens, urban and rural that participated in the day's events.

While Drafting SOPA, The U.S. House Harbors BitTorrent Pirates
TorrentFreak.com
By Ernesto
December 26, 2011
In recent weeks we discovered BitTorrent pirates at the RIAA, Sony, Fox, Universal and even law-abiding organizations such as the Department of Homeland Security. By now it should be clear that people are using BitTorrent pretty much everywhere, and not only for lawful downloads. Today we can add the U.S. House of Representatives to that list, the place where lawmakers are drafting the much discussed Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).
YouHaveDownloaded is a treasure trove full of incriminating data on alleged BitTorrent pirates in organizations all across the world. Unauthorized downloads occur even in the most unexpected of places, from the palace of the French President, via the Church of God, to the RIAA.
Although we dont plan to go on forever trawling the archives, we felt that there was at least one place that warranted further investigation the U.S. House of Representatives. Since its the birthplace of the pending SOPA bill, we wondered how many of the employees there have engaged in unauthorized copying. The answer is yet again unambiguous they pirate a lot.
In total we found more than 800 IP-addresses assigned to the U.S. House of Representatives from where content has been shared on BitTorrent. After a closer inspection it quickly became clear the House isnt just using it for legitimate downloads either, quite the opposite.

UK To Close Borders, Evacuate Expats If Euro Collapses
As Eurozone nations sink ever deeper into crisis, the UK Treasury is working on a contingency plan for the single currency's collapse. It includes capital control measures that, under EU rules, require agreement from most of the Union members. Britain is also prepared to close its borders and evacuate expats and holidaymakers from the effected countries. Robert Oulds, president of the Bruge Groups of campaigners against excess unification in Europe says many countries will benefit if euro collapses.

Occupy North Pole
Maybe the reason we seem to be having so much trouble creating that new world we seek, is because we keep defining what we want using the words from the old one.
We need new words.

A 55-year-old Chinese pensioner was beaten to death at Jilin Province Women's Prison in China. Zhao Yanxia was a retired public service employee.
Police had detained Zhao in May for distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gonga spiritual practice the Chinese regime has been persecuting since 1999.
Zhao received a three-and-half year sentence in September. She died on October 7th, 23 days after she was transferred to the women's prison.
When Zhao's family saw her body, they noticed it was covered with bruisessuggesting she was beaten to death, according to the Falun Dafa Information Center.
The center's executive director is appealing to the global community to hold the Chinese regime accountable.
{Levi Browde, Executive Director of Falun Dafa Information Center}:
"One of the things for doing this call on the international community is to hold the leaders, not just in Jilin Province where the prison camp is locatedto hold them accountablebut to hold the whole regime accountable."
Browde says this case highlights the pervasive situation that affects every single one of the millions of Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China.

While I too have made similar statements.....
...regarding taking seriously the statements of ''some'' comics, in this instance the point is quite apt in my view.
The court jester was at one time venerated because they were the only ones who could openly state the TRUTH to the King/Queen in a comical manner -- that which could not be said by their Counsel, Advisers and/or The Courtiers, for fear of losing their heads.
While I will not in this instance try to speak for others on this issue, as to what is being ''taken too literally,'' in actuality I take none of it seriously at all. To me it's all rather absurd nonsense as far as I can see. And, (once again like George Carlin), I'm just here at The Greatest Monkey Show On Earth as an observer.
- Although it is no longer entertaining. Just mostly repetitiously boring and barbaric......
