Pussy Riot pair are reunited vowing to fight for human rights.

Two members of Russian punk protest band Pussy Riot are reunited hours after they were freed from jail.

Both women remain defiant despite nearly two years behind bars.

They dismissed the amnesty law that set them free as a propaganda stunt.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova promised with her fellow band member to fight for human rights.

"We would like to discuss the goals, tasks and structure of our (human rights) project. We want to outline them together and in detail. We both have some ideas about it and would like to transform then into a common project."

Maria Alyokhina said after her experience inside that she would work for the rights of prisoners.

"We didn't stay indifferent to the situation of women in jail, to the fact that they are seen as some obedient clay. We want to change that."

The pair were convicted of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred for performing a profanity-laced song in Moscow's main cathedral.

The song was heavily critical of the Church's support for President Vladimir Putin, calling on the Virgin Mary to "throw Putin out".

The sentences of the two women were due to finish in March but ended early under an amnesty agreed by the Russian parliament.

The move's widely seen as attempt to avoid controversy during the Winter Olympics in February.

Yusef Lateef (born William Emanuel Huddleston, October 9, 1920 - December 23, 2013) was an American Grammy Award-winning jazz multi-instrumentalist, composer, educator and a spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community after his conversion to the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam in 1950.

Although Lateef's main instruments were the tenor saxophone and flute, he also played oboe and bassoon, both rare in jazz, and also used a number of world music instruments, notably the bamboo flute, shanai, shofar, Xun, arghul, sarewa, and koto. He is known for his innovative blending of jazz with "Eastern" music.

35 million shots of problematic Biokangtai vaccines sold at Chinese market.

A total of 35 million shots of valid hepatitis B vaccine made by Biokangtai, suspected of causing the death of several newborns, have been sold across China.

It remains unclear where the 186 batches of problematic vaccines were dispatched and used in the country.

Four infants have died in south China's Guangdong Province, after inoculation with hepatitis B vaccines made by Biokangtai, a Shenzhen drug manufacturer.

Two babies in neighboring Hunan province and another in the southwest province of Sichuan, died of similar symptoms.

A ban on the use of the recombinant hepatitis B vaccine produced by the Shenzhen-based company was issued.

So far Biokangtai refused to be interviewed on the issue.

Biokangtai is a major supplier of free hepatitis B vaccine, accounting for about 60 percent of the market share.

The Guangdong Disease Control and Prevention Center has procured 1.45 million shots of hepatitis B vaccine from other suppliers, which can meet demand for two or three months.

Data brokers have been under scrutiny this year, with regulators and lawmakers asking these data behemoths what intel they’re compiling and selling about us and how we can get access to it to make sure it’s accurate. In a congressional hearing this week, Senator Jay Rockefeller hit the privacy invasion jackpot with the testimony of Pam Dixon, executive director of the World Privacy Forum. She revealed disturbing lists that she has found for sale from data brokers you’ve likely never heard of, including a “Rape Sufferers List” from a company called MEDbase 200, which sells lists about the medical industry.

The list, which was taken down yesterday after an inquiry from the Wall Street Journal, is still cached, as are some other disturbing lists such as “erectile dysfunction sufferers,” “alcoholism sufferers” and “AIDS/HIV sufferers.“ All the lists promised 1,000 names for the low, low price of $79. That means it cost less than 8 cents to figure out a person’s life sucks.
