Victims have to be believed!
I didn't get her name but that's what a woman just said as she was being interviewed by Craig Melvin on MSNBC.
Upon thinking about it, I realized what a logical fallacy that is. It's a tautology! If you know that someone is a victim then that means you believe them, but if you have doubts then you don't know if that person is a victim. What she said is like saying you have to believe those whom you believe.
I'm sure she wouldn't argue that Jamie Phillips, who was caught lying by the Washington Post, should be believed.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, what are your instructions?
"I'll lie to him."
"And if that doesn't work?"
"Then I'll tell the truth. We're allowed to do that in emergencies. We can't plan for everything, you know."

The most fascinating news article I've ever read!

Even if this was fiction it would be a fascinating and captivating story, but it's not fiction, it's real!
Cargo Cult Economics

Question about that "Hon. Sessions" sign in front of Jeff Sessions: What does "Hon" mean?
A new weapon of mass destruction has been discovered.
And like the scientists of The Manhattan Project, those who have discovered it are motivated to put this weapon into use to serve a worthy cause. Nobody can blame them. In this case that cause is exposing sexual predators who victimized them in the past and deserve to be exposed, and the weapon consists of simply telling the story. This weapon is devastating and effective. It requires no evidence but draws its power from a natural human tendency to believe without question, particularly when backed up by others or used against people with enemies.
Let's hope it doesn't get into the wrong hands.
Moore threatens to sue Washington Post over report
http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/13/politics/roy-moore-washington-post-lawsuit/index.html"The Washington Post published another attack on my character and reputation because they are desperate to stop my political campaign. These attacks said I was with a minor child and are false and untrue -- and for which they will be sued," Moore said Sunday night during a campaign speech in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Washington Post declined to comment Monday morning.
It's not uncommon for public figures to threaten legal action against news organizations but ultimately fail to follow through. President Donald Trump threatened to sue The New York Times last year after it published the accounts of two women who claimed Trump touched them inappropriately. His lawyers never filed a lawsuit.
The Washington Post only reported the truth, and the truth was that they were told something by several people. It's downright scary that a former state judge, state supreme court justice, and potential future U.S. Senator, has no respect whatsoever for the First Amendment.
Trump now accepts that Russia meddled in the election.
... but somehow Putin didn't know about it.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-agrees-us-intelligence-community-russia-meddled-election/story?id=51091798
While President Donald Trump says he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is sincere when he denies that Russia sought to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election, the president said he personally believes the conclusion of the U.S. intelligence community - and not Putin - that Russia did in fact meddle in the election.
(Reminds me of the argument that Hitler didn't know about the Holocaust.)
As Rachel says, "don't listen to what they say, watch what they do." What is Trump doing to prevent Russia from continuing to meddle in our elections?
Anybody?
Since when is a pipe bomb a "weapon of mass destruction"?
http://www.newsweek.com/weapon-mass-destruction-us-airport-employee-arrested-pipe-bomb-708903Weapon of Mass Destruction: U.S. Airport Worker Arrested With Pipe Bomb
Charlotte police officers were responding last week to a 911 call regarding a homemade explosive when they found a pipe bomb in the residence of Paul George Dandan, 30, and Derrick Fells, 39. The two men were then taken into custody.
Apparently we now need a new term for weapons that can destroy entire cities.
