"Teleprompter Trump sounds like a regular president." No, he doesn't.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/27/us/politics/trump-state-of-the-union.html

“Teleprompter Trump sounds like a regular president,” said Michael Waldman, who was director of speechwriting for President Bill Clinton from 1995 to 1999 and wrote four State of the Union speeches. “Off-the-Teleprompter Trump sounds like a fill-in radio talk show host.”

No, teleprompter Trump does not sound like a regular president. He has that irritating habit of never correcting his misreadings of words, instead trying to conceal his errors by adding "and" or some other conjunction, followed by the correct reading.

Either way, this State of the Union address is going to be a disaster.

ABC crops out four Supreme Court Justices. WTF?

Here's the violent car crash that Hannity used as a diversion to avoid discussing Trump.

Doomsday clock moved 30 seconds forward to two minutes from midnight.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists advanced the symbolic Doomsday Clock a notch closer to the end of humanity Thursday, moving it ahead by 30 seconds after what the organization called a “grim assessment” of the state of geopolitical affairs.

“As of today,” Bulletin president Rachel Bronson told reporters, “it is two minutes to midnight.”

In moving the clock 30 seconds closer to the hour of the apocalypse, the group cited “the failure of President Trump and other world leaders to deal with looming threats of nuclear war and climate change.”

This is really bad. We need to stop wasting time and get Trump out of there!

Good News: Progressives find little support for an Oprah campaign.

You like Oprah, I like Oprah, everybody likes Oprah, but...

News flash from a prestigious doctor: For excellent health, eat fast food in bed and never exercise!

And to think of all that time and effort I've wasted at the gym...

Trump keeps National Institutes of Health director while firing most other Obama apointees. Why?

Collins, who Trump notably retained as NIH director last year even as he replaced most other Obama appointees...

Why?

Starting this spring, Americans across the country will be invited to contribute to a massive new pool of genomic information being assembled by the government...

This program that Collins is pursuing sounds like a great idea and probably is, but considering Trump's obsessions, I can't help wondering how he sees it. What is it about collecting gene data from the population that appeals to Trump?

Volunteers won’t be study subjects; they’ll be partners, (Collins) stresses. He has found that to be one of the strongest arguments in attracting participants.

Sounds good, right?

“Of course, we can’t guarantee anybody that privacy is going to be absolutely protected no matter what, because we’ve all seen situations where hacking can happen,” Collins said.

Hacking? What about outright turning the data over to Trump for his own purposes?

Sounds far-fetched, I know, but I'm just an animated towel from a cartoon show and don't have to worry too much about sharing crazy ideas.

The USA has tolerated Trump for way too long! Our nation may never be able to rehabilitate itself.

When we finally rid ourselves of Trump, I'm afraid that other nations will view it as something Americans didn't want to do and resisted for a long time, then only grudgingly bent to pressure from outside.

And in all honesty, I'm not convinced that's not an accurate assessment!

Do you really want as president the person responsible for putting Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil in business?

Which one do you suppose would be our next Surgeon General, Doctor Mehmet Oz or Doctor Phil McGraw?
