Towlie's JournalIs Fox News finally ready to acknowledge that Trump lies about everything?
Two Fox News hosts question Trump's comments about Iran: 'This just doesn't add up'Is Fox News finally ready to face the reality that Trump lies about everything?
...
Nah!
My main concern is how well a candidate understands politics and world affairs. How does yours rate?
How would you rate your favorite candidate on a scale of 1 to 10, where Rachel Maddow = 10 and Trump = 0?
Never wrestle a pig in its own sty because you'll get covered with pigshit and the pig will love it.
I admire Elizabeth Warren for her stance on Fox News. I think appearing on that network is a losing strategy because most of their viewers are forever lost in the Fox fantasy world, and even those few sheep who might be persuaded will be herded back into the fold by the lies that are certain to follow any "town hall" broadcast.
I'd be interested in knowing which other Democratic candidates have appeared or plan to appear on that network. Is there a list somewhere?
God, I hate Fox News!
The Fox News site features a photo of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib with a caption underneath saying:House Republican leaders are calling on Speaker Pelosi to 'take action' against Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib for saying that thinking about the Holocaust gives her a 'calming feeling'; Peter Doocy has the details from Washington.
But as the Fox News article itself reveals, she didn't mean that the Holocaust gives her a "calming feeling", as if she somehow approved of it. Her comment was actually about the displacement of Palestinians after the war:
"Theres always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors Palestinians who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people's passports," Tlaib said on the podcast's most recent episode, published Friday. "And, just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And, I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways, but they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them."
I just switched from "undecided" to Kamala Harris.
Someday a woman will be president, and I figure it's about that time.I think Speaker Pelosi is correct with her Own the center left, own the mainstream advice, and among the top woman candidates that rules out Elizabeth Warren, whose platform may or may not be desirable, but the Robin Hood-like idea to rob from the rich and give to the poor seems unlikely to sell and is probably unrealistic. That leaves Amy Klobuchar and Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris is my first choice and Amy Klobuchar is my second.
Does it mean anything to "commit under oath" to do or not do something in the future?
I don't understand what that means. The oath of a witness is an affirmation that statements made about what the witness experienced will be truthful, but it seems to me that a promise to do something in the future would require a completely different sort of oath, and not keeping that promise wouldn't qualify as lying to Congress. Is there a law against breaking a promise to Congress?
I think maybe I'd prefer "uncommitted" to "undecided", but I'm undecided about that.
Why did Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decline Nancy Pelosi's invitation to join the Climate Crisis panel?
I have written Ralph Northam's resignation speech for him, and here it is:
"After careful consideration, I have concluded that Brett Kavanaugh and I have no choice but to resign for our inexcusable transgressions during our school days. I will leave it to Justice Kavanaugh to finalize our joint resignation."
Trump, the scientist's nightmare, displays his abysmal ignorance of what a polar vortex is.
Start by reading about what the polar vortices are.
Scientists are always cautious in their conclusions, but...
And now this:
(@realDonaldTrump)
In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded. In coming days, expected to get even colder. People cant last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!
Today's depressing reality actually makes this XKCD cartoon about science denying politicians seem tame in comparison.
