Has anyone read "Roberts' Gemstone Files?" I got there quite by accident, started to

read parts and am addicted. Joe Kennedy, Ari Onassis, Capone, Lucky Luciano, the whole thing and how they were connected. Some great stuff about the JFK assassination, etc. I think I'll find out if it's an actual book so I can read it easier. Much on J. Edgar also. Has anyone read this? Very lengthy. I read what i did on Google, typed in roberts gemstone files and was given a lot of links...

When there are racists and bigots in your family...

I received an e-mail this morning from my uncle, my dad's youngest brother, a year older than myself. He's ultra conservative, Catholic, thought Bush and Reagan were great, you get the picture. I've chastised him numerous times about sending me the racist crap the cons love to send each other and today was the last straw. He sent an e-mail disguised as a joke about a welfare recipient that was disgusting. I then sent back the stat that there are more white people than black recipients receiving welfare with the message as to how typically republican he was with the racism and bigotry and told him he should be ashamed of himself. He sent this thing with the subject being "No Comment." I told him he was a coward and by his no comment, condoning such crap

He then retorted with "Perhaps you should do a reach-around and pull that hair out of your ass." I have removed his name from both of my e-mail accounts. He was the last person in that part of the family I had any contact with, all of them Rush-loving, uber cons and knocking each other down to get into church. I feel sort of/only a little badly about this but enough is enough. He's used to never being contradicted and is the "star" of the family. I'm now going to my new black sheep quarters feeling less burdened. If you don't stand up to this then you're condoning it.

Strictly my speculation...Rush and Clear Channel will come to some sort of agreement (monetarily)

and rush will be gone in two weeks. CC may love him and all that but this is a business and this many defections of advertisers being nationally exposed is just not good for their business. I worked at a New Jersey radio station many years ago, the loss of one advertiser let alone this amount, was taken very, very seriously. Usually the poor sales person got the brunt of the "Why?" ... CC is not going to tolerate this for too long. I'm saying two weeks, whatcha think?

Legal group is suing U.S. Air Force for access to FLOTUS Travel Records

http://www.politico.com/politico44/2012/03/group-sues-for-michelle-obama-vacation-records-116545.html

A conservative legal group is suing the U.S. Air Force for access to first lady Michelle Obama's travel records from a 2010 vacation to Spain.

Judicial Watch filed suit Tuesday in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for access to all records pertaining to an August 2010 vacation taken by the first lady and her daughters — including cost estimates and passenger manifests.

"Evidently, American taxpayers were stuck with a sizable bill so Mrs. Obama could tour around Spain with her family and friends, This administration, as a supposed steward of taxpayer dollars, has an obligation to disclose the full costs of the Obama family’s luxury trip," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in a statement.

The White House has insisted that the Spanish vacation was paid for by the Obama family — but taxpayers generally pick up the tab for security and other assorted costs.

So Tweety now has a tingle up his leg over Joey the Scar??? Dear gawd, it was like a love fest

with Tweety thinking Joey would have been a better candidate than what they presently have, how much he loves working with this smart guy. My brain hurts but I'll defend Tweets this time, he is always kind and very generous to his colleagues...This was a bit much, however Joe did go into a lengthy blah about how $omney and President Obama are not that far apart on their outlook on Iran. Such nonsense.......

Joe the Plumber could be a congressman

Joe the Plumber is back, possibly as a congressman. America's most famous (former) plumber, whose real name is Joe Wurzelbacher, is running on Tuesday against local auctioneer Steve Kraus for the Republican nomination in Ohio's newly created 9th Congressional District.

Wurzelbacher became an overnight star during the 2008 presidential campaign after he asked Barack Obama a question about taxes. Republicans nicknamed him Joe the Plumber, and the McCain-Palin camp propped him up as a symbol of middle-class Americans. Wurzelbacher told the Toledo Blade that he's spent the last two months going around knocking on doors to show that he's not "a mean old Republican."

"Not all Republicans are rich, dress in three-piece suits, and have $200 haircuts. I'm somebody who's lived from paycheck to paycheck. I'm focusing on my blue-collar roots -- I've worked side by side with union people," Wurzelbacher said. His name recognition has helped him against Kraus, who is considered a political unknown.

Mrs. Pelosi called Ms. Fluke to offer her support and give her a few kind words. HuffPo

has truly turned into a cesspool, no moderation whatsoever and the comments are horrendous. I'm not going to post a link to the article but it's near the top. Pelosi just offered her good wishes and support and Fluke tweeted that she was very appreciative. No pro-Obama or pro-Pelosi posts are getting through. I used to enjoy going there on Sundays and posting in Jason Linkins column but no more. It's truly awful.
