monmouth's JournalGuiliani in Boca: Apologize for the economy, Mr. President

Rudy Giuliani guaranteed a 2013 economic boom if Mitt Romney is elected president, while saying President Obama should apologize to the American people for the latest bit of sluggish economic news.
Appearing before more than 200 Romney supporters at a sweltering storefront Romney campaign headquarters Friday, the former New York mayor and unsuccessful 2008 White House aspirant blasted Obamas handling of the economy and the fact that he hasnt made a presidential visit to Israel.
This mornings numbers on the growth of our economy were so horrible, so anemic, 1.5 percent, that Barack Obama should have walked outside the White House and apologized to the American people, Giuliani said.
The Commerce Department said earlier in the day that the economy grew at a 1.5 percent rate during the second quarter.

"If it wasn't for that damned horse, I'd be on the first plane outta here." Just imagining
what is perhaps going through Rmoney's mind at this time. I doubt he's seen the Twitter feed and the Brit newspapers, his handlers would keep that from him, but he has to know he is sooooo far in over his head. They were supposed to love him like they did Obama, what went wrong?
I remember when Senator Obama made his trip prior to his election and how flawless his trip
was. The American press was meh about it and just reported the facts. I often thought the media was sort of stunned that Senator Obama was such a hit and was so well received. Had "Senator" Obama made one quarter of the gaffes, mistakes that Mittens has made in just two days can you imagine our media? It just truly ticks me off how the media is so biased and slanted towards the right.
Jeb Bush wants Rubio for VP
By BRENDAN FARRINGTON
The Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush thinks Sen. Marco Rubio is ready to be vice president and he shared those thoughts with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, he said Wednesday.
Bush said he has been a huge fan of Rubio's for years and hopes that Romney chooses him. He said he made his pitch to Romney in a recent conversation, but the former Massachusetts governor didn't reveal which direction he was leaning. Bush said the choice is a personal one and respects Romney for keeping his thoughts close to his vest.
Romney has said he is considering Rubio, a freshman senator who was elected in 2010.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Bush also criticized President Barack Obama, saying he believes he has deliberately chosen to divide rather than lead as a campaign tactic.

Lawsuit filed to challenge use of write-ins to close Florida primary elections
Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE
If the winner of a Democratic or Republican primary in Florida wont face opposition in the general election, then that primary is open to all voters without regard to party registration under a state constitutional amendment passed overwhelmingly in 1998.
The idea is that everyone should get a chance to vote for or against the eventual winner.
But politicians have been getting around the so-called universal primary requirement by finding someone often a supporter, friend or relative to run as a write-in candidate. Write-in candidates have closed what would have otherwise been five open primaries in Palm Beach and Martin counties this year the Republican House District 82 and Democratic Senate District 27 and tax collectors races in Palm Beach, and the Republican sheriffs and county commission District 1 races in Martin.
That trick is now being challenged in court by critics who say that it effectively disenfranchises independents and members of other parties. They hope a judge will rule before the Aug. 14

Arraignment set for wife of Trayvon Martin shooter
The Associated Press
ORLANDO, Fla.
The wife of Trayvon Martin's shooter is set to be arraigned next week in central Florida on one count of perjury after a judge said she lied about her and husband George Zimmerman's finances during a bond hearing.
The arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday. Shellie Zimmerman was arrested and charged June 12 and released the same day after posting bond. Her appearance notice does not list an attorney.
George Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in Martin's shooting. He was initially granted $150,000 bond and released. The judge in his case revoked that bond last month after state attorneys argued that both Zimmerman and his wife had lied about money raised from a website.
He has since been freed again on a new $1 million bond.

Has Rmoney been "guaranteed," "promised" a win in the November election? The reason I ask this
is because of the very haphazard, don't give a shite and inept way the campaign is being run. Just shoot your mouth off, truth or lie, makes no difference, Dielbold and others will be programmed to bring in a win. I'm not saying this is true, but I'm so shocked at the sloppy and mistake after mistake-laden performance of the campaign. One would think they're not even trying because they don't have to...
"Dark Knight" (TNT) and "Batman Begins" (FX) both on tonight. I wonder if there will
be a change in the scheduling. They're both on at 8:00 p.m. These are scheduled weeks in advance but will be interesting to see if they will still be shown.
