An elderly Wisconsin man trying to leave a parking lot ended up crashing nine different cars, and it was all captured on video. Police say the 92-year-old likely just panicked, and won't face criminal charges. His license, however, is being reviewed.

Police say the elderly driver who struck nine vehicles in the parking lot of a Mayville grocery store won't be cited.
Police Chief Christopher MacNeill says the episode in the Piggly Wiggly lot last Friday was simply an accident. He says the 92-year-old man pulled out of his parking spot, got his foot stuck on the accelerator, panicked and lost control of his vehicle. Two of the nine vehicles he struck were occupied. No one was hurt.
Donald Gourlie was one of those who came out of the grocery store to find that his wife's car had been hit. Gourlie tells WISN-TV he had purchased a Valentine's Day card for his wife of 58 years and wrote on the bottom "I love you. Sorry about your car."

The amateur video obtained by The Guardian, and posted on its website, shows the man make multiple attempts to board a train at Richelieu-Drouot station, only to be pushed away each time by a group of passengers.
The group, who appear to be Chelsea supporters, can then be heard chanting: "We're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it."

The Las Vegas woman who was shot dead by a gunman in what police are calling a road rage incident was killed after she and her son — who was armed with a gun of his own — went looking for the angry driver who had confronted her and her daughter a short time before, police said Tuesday.
Tammy Meyers, 44, was shot by someone in a gray or silver 4-door sedan outside her home shortly at around 11:22 p.m., and died two days later.
The suspect or suspects remain unidentified and at large, police said.
Earlier, Meyers had been teaching her 15-year-old daughter to drive in a parking lot. Meyers was behind the wheel and they were driving home when a car came speeding up behind them, police said. Meyers' 15-year-old daughter reached over and honked at that driver, who later got out of his car and confronted them.

Meyers was "scared but she's upset," and when they got home Meyers and her 22-year-old son went out looking for the driver, and at one point were following a car before breaking off and heading home, Steiber said.
When they got home, the suspect's car pulled up and opened fire, and Meyers' son returned fire, Steiber said. After the shooting was over, Meyers' son discovered that his mother, who was behind him, had been shot, Steiber said.___

An unretouched photo of Cindy Crawford has been circulating on Twitter this morning, revealing a body that defies expectations—it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous.
While the claim accompanying the photo (which you can see here) is that it will be printed in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire, its origins are actually from a December 2013 cover story from Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America. It appears that this unretouched version is a leak.

She doesn’t look exactly like she did when she was 20, but that’s just the way life works. The photo is an honest picture of what a 47-year-old woman’s body looks like when that woman is a rich, lucky woman who has won the genetic Lottery, runs a skincare company, and works very, very hard to stay fit.
Several people replied to White’s tweet saying that the image of Crawford made them feel like they could be more comfortable with their own aging bodies, because it reminded them that they’re not supposed to look 20 anymore. The messed up part is that Photoshop is so pervasive that people don’t even realize what real bodies look like anymore, and we expect everyone to stop aging at 24 and have smooth, poreless, abs of steel until they are 90.

Cut up a fresh, bone-in chicken breast and you’ll notice that it naturally separates into two distinct parts: a larger, teardrop-shaped lobe of flesh — the piece of meat that you probably think of when someone says “chicken breast” — and a more narrow piece sometimes referred to as a “tender.” The chicken finger originated in the need to find something to do with that tender, explains food historian Gary Allen in a short history of the convenience food published online five years ago. Chicken fingers, Allen says, were seldom seen before 1990 or so, but by the end of the 1980s, fear of saturated fats turned many North Americans away from beef and toward chicken. Increased demand meant billions of additional chicken breasts were processed — but what was the industry to do with the tenders? The answer is on children’s plates. We can look at Allen’s mini-history of a mini-food as a metaphor for how cuisine has come to be divided in contemporary North America: The prime cuts go to the adults while the less healthy morsels — dressed up in extra salt, fat and sugar and processed almost beyond recognition — end up on the kids’ menu, both in the family restaurants that traffic in such fare, and at home. -
For a generation, many North American parents have indulged children’s picky eating tendencies by sticking them in an endlessly repeating loop of chicken fingers, burgers, pizza, plain pasta, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Anyone who has sat down for a meal with youngsters over the past 25 years will recognize this list of typical “kids’ foods.” Pushed out of the picture, to varying degrees for different children, are fruits and vegetables and anything else that might challenge them, from spicy delicacies to unfamiliar proteins. To picture what this might look like to a visitor from almost anywhere else in the world, imagine we just mashed up some bread and cheese and mechanically separated chicken flesh together, called it Kiddy Chow, and bought it by the bag to rip open to feed the tots.
Mealtimes for children were quite different just a few decades ago. Over the past few months, I’ve spoken casually and in formal interviews with dozens of people about food and childhood. As a general rule, people who grew up in North America and are now over the age of 30 recall that when they were children, kids ate what the adults ate. Families usually dined together at the table. There might have been foods you didn’t like; depending on the rules of the house you might have been expected to try them or even finish them. Or you might have been free not to, as long as there weren’t too many foods you were refusing. Either way, it wouldn’t have occurred to you that an adult was going jump up from the table to prepare you something precisely to your liking. And if you didn’t eat, you might have to wait quite a while for the next opportunity: Studies show that North American kids snack more often and consume more calories than they did in the 1970s.

How bail punishes the poor for their poverty
Most of the controversy over crime and punishment in the United States has focused on how many people are in prison. You don't hear as much about jails, and yet for most Americans the local jail is where they're likely to experience the justice system.
Far more Americans go to jail in a given year than to prison, although most of them have not been convicted of any crime. Then there are those with mental illnesses who simply don't have other options. And increasingly, jail has become a de facto punishment for poverty, as the poor are forced to remain there in lieu of bail while awaiting trial.

Woman accidently mails rent check to Comcast. Comcast tries to keep it
A 79-year-old woman accidentally mailed her rent check to Xfinity Comcast along with her cable bill — only to have the telecom giant cash it and initially refuse to return the money.
According to CNET.com, Francis Wilson of Albuquerque, New Mexico accidentally put her $235 rent check into the envelope she uses to pay her $20 cable bill each month.
Comcast received the check and cashed it. When Wilson realized her mistake and contacted the cable provider, they initially offered her an account credit rather than returning the money.
“You’re stealing from an old woman like me?” Wilson said to KRQE. “How dare you? You didn’t even call me? Who gave you permission?”
