Arizona Cop Whips & Kicks Police Dog

After a few seconds, the officer pulls the leash, and the dog stays put near the door. The officer walks toward the dog and makes the leash into a whip and then hits the dog. The woman recording says, “Hey!” and then gasps as the officer appears to strike the dog a second time.

He then appears to kick the dog, as the woman exclaims, “He’s kicking that dog! What the hell!”

“At this point we are still investigating what occurred. Examining every aspect of this incident will take time and for this we thank the media and the community for their patience,” the Peoria Police Department said in a statement to KPHO-TV. In the meantime, we appreciate the concern the community has expressed for our K9 partners. Due to the fact we are in the midst of an internal investigation we are declining interviews with our officers for the moment.”

Family, friends, supporters and reporters flocked to meet Jeff Mizanskey as he stepped out of the Jefferson City correctional center into a sunny morning, wearing a new pair of white tennis shoes and a shirt that read: “I’m Jeff & I’m free”.

“I spent a third of my life in prison,” said Mizanskey, now 62, who was greeted by his infant great-granddaughter. “It’s a shame.”

After a breakfast of steak and eggs with family, Mizanskey said, he planned to spend his post-prison life seeking a job and advocating for the legalization of marijuana. He criticized sentencing for some drug-related crimes as unfair and described his time behind bars as “hell”.

Anthony Horowitz apologises after calling Idris Elba 'too street' to play James Bond

Horowitz, who spoke to the Mail on Sunday and launched a scathing critique of the recent iterations of the Bond franchise, released the statement on Tuesday saying: “I am mortified to have caused offence.”

He added: “I’m really sorry my comments about Idris Elba have caused offence. That wasn’t my intention.

“I was asked in my interview if Idris Elba would make a good James Bond. In the article I expressed the opinion that to my mind Adrian Lester would be a better choice, but I’m a writer not a casting director so what do I know?”

The author, who has written “continuation” Bond novels, including the latest Trigger Mortis, and said Lester would be a more “suave” Bond, explained his use of the word “street” to describe Elba.

“Clumsily, I chose the word ‘street’ as Elba’s gritty portrayal of DCI John Luther was in my mind but I admit it was a poor choice of word. I am mortified to have caused offence.”

Horowitz told the Mail that Elba as “a bit too rough to play the part”, adding “It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond.”
