The Postal Service delivered stimulus letters and checks to Americans without a hitch.

Trump’s lying when he says they need more money to handle mail in ballots.

They’re equipped to handle mailings to all Americans at the drop of a dime ... or at least they were before being sabotaged by Trump.

I am a retired postal manager

I managed large metropolitan area operations overseeing more than 150 employees daily and delivering mail to tens of thousands of customers.

I spent countless sleepless nights and 12-hour-plus workdays getting the mail out in the face of incessant obstacles. Ultimately, daily I met the goal on schedule and reliably living by our motto: Every piece every day.

To hear that Trump’s guy has dismantled in just two months what I and many devoted decades to is alarming. After seeing my own mail slow down I talked to former coworkers/friends. In TX, a postmaster says her boss calls Trump’s guy Dejoy, “a business man”. A former supervisor I talked to parrots the same phrase. Many have no idea of the political ramifications of this appointment.

(The USPS is a cash cow. If destroyed, billions have been set aside 75 years in advance of retirements of 500,000 employees. This could easily fall into Republican hands. Dejoy just added $10 billion more debt in the last two weeks making them even more vulnerable and destroying one of the largest unions in America if destruction succeeds.)

Then, I read that million-dollar machines that sort 36,000 pieces of mail per hour are being turned off now in favor of manual labor. And I am floored. It’s like a bank removing all ATMS and insisting that all money be counted by hand. It’s not hard to see that cutting down automation will increase the manual workload a hundred fold—but simultaneously cutting overtime reduces the man hours needed for the quadrupled manual workload. There’s not enough square footage to house the impending backup of mail that will result from these “business“ decisions.

I have spent most of the year telling everybody I know to plan to vote by mail — until May when I first heard about Trump’s appointment.

I will not be voting by mail now. It’s a huge loss of revenue for the Postal Service if I, and many others don’t vote by mail. I don’t want to hurt the Postal Service but I care more about not hurting America with a too-risky vote. I do suggest, however, continuing to patronize them in every possible way whether you mail your vote or not.

All I know is that I hope that we can quickly regroup and rethink how we plan to GOTV under these new circumstances.

Peter Navarro White House Trade Advisor on CBS newz interview

Basically he just was given free time to ramble.

Asked about the CARES package stalemate:
“Trump is the working class president he knows the pain out there in the heartland.” 🙄

Q: When do you think a stimulus deal might be reached?
“...That’s not my lane...what I can do is break some news ... Trump is signing an executive order today ... it’s a beautiful thing, it’s pure Trump, it sweeps away regulatory barriers to manufacturing here...” 🙄

As negotiations continue why the focus on a payroll tax cut?
“ ... that happens to be one of the most effective ways to get money into the pockets of Americans... it’s effectively a 12% wage hike .... again this is not my responsibility...”

...This is going to be a great speech today... everyone should watch and read it ... it’s beat the virus and build the economy back to where it was January 15 when he had built the most beautiful and strong economy in American history. We had 3 1/2 percent unemployment—historic rates for blacks and Hispanics, rising wages for blue-collar workers... 🙄. We’ve got a long row to hoe we can’t continue to just write checks...”

What did you make of the president’s comments yesterday when he said children are immune from the virus?
“I’m not an epidemiologist ... I’m not on the task force ... I’ll leave that science to the task force...”

"What we're seeing is the working poor being wiped out."

California ER doctor Brad Spellberg said that just now in an NBC interview about the devastating toll of Covid. Dr. Karl Chudnofsky talked about how the disease basically suffocates people.

The piece ended by saying that more beds aren’t a problem it’s additional qualified staff that’s limited. And still people don’t care. One astonished overworked ER nurse recounted driving home only to come upon a large unmasked group of people at an auto show. Another nurse expressed fears about her family’s safety.

No words for the heartlessness of people.

Complicit TeeVee media

Yesterday’s newz hit job: Recount by a victim of Maxwell’s role in trafficking minors to Epstein’s island. Then narration with pics — a lingering shot of Bill Clinton followed by a statement from Clinton denying ever going to the island.

Previous pieces have been aired with victims then repeatedly implicating Prince Andrew.

My point? None of these ongoing pieces ever mentions Trump. Of course we know that they are doing the same elsewhere: like ignoring Russia’s bounty story, for instance.

This says EVERYTHING about the media. They totally omit mention of Trump’s association with Epstein.

It’s why I barely watch the newz.
