Just received a text from bff that a young friend in NOLA died this morning from Covid. He infected his 80 y/o grandmother who’s in critical condition.

I went to bed last night nearly in tears 😭 after reading of the prospects and projections. All I can do is pray. I wonder which of my friends or family will perish. I am putting my affairs in order with a sense of urgency.

Two friends this week have gone to funerals—one traveling out of town—and both reported that funeral homes only let in 10 at a time.

Talked to my only sister this morning. I said that if she, I or Mom died from this we would not even be able to say goodbye.

As ERs get filled and medical staff availability challenged people with critical medical conditions and trauma won’t be seen.

I just told my mom to be extremely cautious with her health routine because for at least the next three months it’s probably going to be hard to get emergency medical attention of any kind.

I’m seeing my primary doctor tomorrow so I can get all blood work done and scripts if needed. I also stocked up on OTC cold and flu meds just in case I or a family member needs them.
