The View: McCain doubts TFG** is eyeing another presidential run

In the wake of newz that TFG (the former guy) may be headed for indictment in the case against him and his organization, Megan McCain, thinks it’s unlikely to have much of an impact on his political future.

“I actually think he won’t end up running. I think he wants to see a lot of things that are happening in the world that he said would come true with Biden’s policies,” McCain said. “Everything that I’ve heard through different channels is that he’s actually pretty happy right now and feeling good about his legacy.”

Typical Republican doublespeak: no impact on his political future but he’s not likely to run.

Yeah right. I’m sure he’s “happy” as can be.

In a two-page letter to members of the media, she wrote: "It is impossible for this glaring lack of diversity not to be reflected in the daily coverage of government, politics and city life every single day."

"She makes a really great case about diversity and the lack of diversity, but she doesn't make the case about what's wrong with the way she's being covered," ABC7 Political Analyst Laura Washington said. "What she says implies that she's being covered unfairly, there's implicitly or explicitly bias, but she never makes the case for how that plays out in the media."

Northwestern University Journalism Professor Ava Greenwell has written a book about the diversity issues in newsrooms, which go back decades. She supports the mayor's desire to draw attention to the issue. “When we're looking at the Black Lives Matter movement and inequity and all these other places, the news media has no choice but also to look at itself in this situation and see if it doing the best job it can to actually fostering equity across the board," Greenwell said.

Snip—

The President of the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists sees the letter as no big deal, because diversity in newsrooms is something they've been fighting for years.

Obama is doing the entire Late Show w/James Corden promoting his new book.

He’s simply spectacular—witty, intelligent and charming.

He’s fielding questions from band members. One asked for his advice as a new father. Obama‘s reply was to give the newborn a regular schedule as it just makes for much happier children; and to treat the mother well to set an example for the future.

Love him.

A video of people admitting their racism

No solutions. It’s ugly but acknowledgment is a beginning...maybe.
