Beto needs every vote he can get. Cruz has been ahead for some time, but there is slight trend....

there is a slight trend for Beto. IF there's a surge in several places, he could eek out a win. He's showing momentum in a couple of polls.

Are people nuts to vote for Cruz AGAIN?

What does a person mean when saying "Claire MCCaskill shouldn't be within 15 pts of the Republican."

It was on Morning Joe, talking about how meaningful it is that McCaskill has moved ahead of her Repub opponent by 3 pts, for McCaskill's third term. Someone said, "Wow...this will be a Democratic coup if this is pulled off. She ordinarily shouldn't be within 15 points of her opponent..."

I don't know if that means it was that unlikely for her to be re-elected, or if she should be such a shoe-in. I think he meant that it was very unlikely for her to be re-elected. They said something about her last win was partly because of her opponent, Akin?

Just wondering.

If Dems don't take back the House, and win other key races...I'm going to suspect hacking....

That's right. If Democrats miss taking back the House, and if they don't win the other key races, in accordance with all the numbers we're seeing leading up to the elections....

I'm going to strongly suspect the hacking was more successful than we thought it would be. There IS hacking going on. There IS voter suppression going on. But we're seeing such strong numbers, that we should be able to take the House and win some of the key races. If we don't, I think it is logical to conclude that the hacking and voter suppression stole some elections from us again.

I'm not paranoid or a conspiracy theorist. But there is evidence of the hacking and voter suppression, and we know the government has done little, if anything, to curtail the hacking.

If we have enough voters show up, we can win, despite the suppression and hacking. And then we can DO SOMETHING about the hacking and voter suppression, once we have the power to do it.

You know an older American who needs a ride to the polls on Nov 6th?

https://www.aarp.org/politics-society/government-elections/info-2018/voting-transportation.html

Ride-booking apps
Uber: The ride service has committed to mobilizing voters by offering Election Day promo codes worth $10 off a ride to your polling place. Be sure to read Uber’s instructions on how to take advantage of the promotion, which will apply only to the lowest-cost ride type available in your city.

Lyft: Lyft is also offering 50 percent off rides to the polls. In certain underserved areas, the company is working with nonprofit partners to provide free transportation. More details are available online.

Other private services
Arrive Rides and GoGoGrandparent: These concierge services allow you to request a ride with Uber or Lyft, but without having to use a smartphone. Registered users can call the Arrive Rides or GoGoGrandparent hotlines from a cellphone or landline to request a car. Rides can also be booked in advance.

Greatcall: Are you a Greatcall customer? The company has partnered with Lyft so users with Jitterbug phones can press zero to speak to an operator, who will request a ride on their behalf.

Local options
Paratransit: For voters with disabilities, paratransit services offered by local transit agencies can be a way to use public transportation to get to the polls. Contact your Area Agency on Aging or transit provider for details.

Local companies: Many local companies offer dial-a-ride or van services. To find one, use the Eldercare Locator and search “Transportation” options, then filter results by zip code.

Volunteer services: A network of volunteer-run ride services provides no-cost rides nationwide. Search for programs in your state using this map.

The recent violence - because they see the writing on the wall?

Could the recent violence and attempted murders be because they see that the Democrats are likely to do well in the mid-terms? And then the Mueller report may be bad news?

They don't seem connected at first, but I can't help but think that if it looked like the Republicans were going to sweep, these violent men would hold off for a while. ???

The Campbell Soup VP who tweeted that Soros assisted the caravan has been ousted.

The Campbell Soup lobbyist who said George Soros' foundation was assisting a caravan of migrants bound for the United States is no longer with the company.

Kelly Johnston, formerly Campbell's vice president of government affairs, tweeted on Monday that the Open Society Foundations arranged for "troop carriers" and "rail cars" to support the caravan, which formed earlier this month in Central America. Johnston has since deleted his Twitter account.

Campbell and Johnston had discussed his leaving over the summer, the company said on Saturday. Johnston was scheduled to leave in November, but the tweet sped up his exit.
