Tuesday Afternoon
Tuesday Afternoon's JournalHoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Now, I've been happy lately
Thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be
Something good has begun
Oh, I've been smiling lately
Dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be
Someday it's going to come.
'Cause out on the edge of darkness
There rides the Peace Train
Oh, Peace Train take this country
Come take me home again.
Now, I've been smiling lately
thinking about the good things to come
and I believe it could be
something good has begun.
Oh, Peace Train sounding louder
Ride on the Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on the Peace Train.
Yes, Peace Train's a holy roller
Everyone jump on the Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on the Peace Train
Get your bags together
Come bring your good friends too
Because it's getting nearer
It soon will be with you
Come and join the living
It's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer
Soon it will all be true
Peace Train sounding louder
Ride on the Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on the Peace Train, the Peace Train
Now, I've been crying lately
Thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating?
Why can't we live in bliss?
'Cause out on the edge of darkness
There rides the Peace Train
Peace Train take this country
Come take me home again
Oh, Peace Train sounding louder
Ride on the Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on the Peace Train
'Cause Peace Train's a holy roller
Everyone jump on the Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on, come on, come on
Yes, come on Peace Train
This is the Peace Train.
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
Come on the Peace Train
The Peace Train
Hoo-ah-eeh-ah-hoo-ah
even when you're high you can be low
Woh woh woh woh
A thought in my head I think
Of something to do
Expressions tell everything
I see one on you
Woh woh woh woh my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
When I was invisible
I needed no light
You saw right through me, you said
"Was I out of sight?"
Woh woh woh woh my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
Woh woh woh woh my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
Woh woh woh woh my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
When I was in England Town
The rain fell right down
I looked for you everywhere
Till I'm not around
Woh woh woh woh my love she comes in colors
You can tell her from the clothes she wears
I heard a funny thing ... somebody said to me
Yeah
Said it's alright
I won't forget
All the times I've waited patiently for you
And you'll do just what you choose to do
And I will be alone again tonight, my dear.
Yeah
I heard a funny thing
Somebody said to me,
"You know that I could be in love with almost everyone,
And I think that people are the greatest fun."
And I will be alone again tonight, my dear.
And I will be alone again tonight, my dear.
Yeah
I heard a funny thing
Somebody said to me
"You know that I could be in love with almost everyone;
I think that people are the greatest fun."
And I will be alone again tonight, my dear.
And I will be alone again tonight, my dear.
... not so starry-eyed anymore ...
I want you, thin fingers
I wanted you, thin fingernails
And when you bend backwards
I wanted you, I needed you
Oh-oh, to make me better
I'll love you in springtime
I lost you when summer came
And when you pulled backwards
I wanted you, I needed to
Oh-oh, to make me better
Oh-oh, to make me better
But we're not so starry-eyed anymore
Like the perfect paramour you were in your letters
And won't it all just come around to make you
Let it all unbreak you to the day you met her
But it'd make you better
It'd make you better
I sung you, your twinges
I suffered you, your tattletales
And when you broke sideways
I wanted you, I needed you
Oh-oh, to make me better
Oh-oh, to make me better
But we're not so starry-eyed anymore
Like the perfect paramour you were in your letters
And won't it all just come around and make you
Let it all unbreak you to the day that you met her
And it'd make you better
Did it make you better?
Make you better
And all I wanted was a sliver to call mine
And all I wanted was a shimmer in your shine
To make me bright
'Cause we're not so starry-eyed anymore
Like the perfect paramour you were in your letters
Won't it all just come around and make you
Let it all unbreak you to the days you met her
But it'd make you better
It'd make you better

I know there's nothing to say
Someone has taken my place
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I know I got nothin' on you
I know there's nothing to do
When times go bad
And you can't get enough
Won't you lay me down in the tall grass
And let me do my stuff
One thing I think you should know
I ain't gonna miss you when you go
Been down so long
I've been tossed around enough
Couldn't you just
Let me go down and do my stuff
I know you're hopin' to find
Someone who's gonna give you piece of mind
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I'm just second hand news
I'm just second hand news
Anyone else here curious if Jon Huntsman will Toss his Hat in to the Ring?
Dear Governor Huntsman,
This letter comes at a hard time for our nation, a time of abundant suspicion and lasting cynicism. Trusting in our politicians has become a punch-linea joke that echoes around the campaign trail. Being a statesman seems to become harder each and every day.
We know you know this.
Before the founding of this republic, American leaders stood up and fought an empire. Our nations Fathers came togetherdespite differences in opinion. The common bond of liberty and individualism united the 13 colonies. Benjamin Franklin declared that "we must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." Those were grave times.
President Lincoln held the Republic together during a civil war that tested whether a "nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal" could, in fact, endure and survive. Those were grave times. Grave times call for great leaders.
We still believe in the principles of our nations founders.
We still believe in the words of President Lincoln.
We want to believe in President Huntsman.
We have faith in you, Governor. We have faith because the call to serve transcends politics and horse races. We know that Jon2016.com and your campaign for President will be hard, and that they might even fail. These campaigns may have false starts, but they will have real hope and real promise. These campaigns are working for something greater than any one individual.
The American people are asking for something greater than a poll or pundits choice. They are asking a patriot to act on his call to duty. You said it best, Governor:
"I will always put my country first."
