Trump won't accept blame if GOP loses house

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Facing the prospect of bruising electoral defeat in congressional elections, President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he won't accept the blame if his party loses control of the House in November, arguing his campaigning and endorsements have helped Republican candidates.

No, I think I'm helping people. Look, I'm 48 and 1 in the primaries, and actually it's much higher than that because I endorsed a lot of people that were successful that people don't even talk about. But many of those 48, as you know, were people that had no chance, in some cases. We look at Florida, you look at Donovan in Staten Island. He was losing by 10 points, I endorsed him and he won. I could give you a long list of names. Look at Georgia governor of Georgia. And many, many races. And I will say that we have a very big impact. I don't believe anybody's ever had this kind of an impact. They would say that in the old days that if you got the support of a president or if you've got the support of somebody it would be nice to have, but it meant nothing, zero. Like literally zero. Some of the people I've endorsed have gone up 40 and 50 points just on the endorsement.

Today I found out something about one of my favorite TV shows of all time.."Our Mr. Sun"

In 1956, I saw this one on TV. with my family.. There was something wonderful about it. It was science, but it was also very entertaining. There was a warm, kind of sensitive, and hopeful feel to this film. It was the first of a series of shows called the "Bell Science Series." There were four in that original series...What I found out today...10/16/18...Tuesday..62 years later..was that this one hour show, (that I really enjoyed and remembered seeing, I think I saw it 3 or 4 times) ..was produced, directed and written by...Frank Capra..
....I really don't think I need to say more about Frank Capra, but I did not know he was responsible for this TV show. It explains a whole lot.

My comment:

He really doesn't know when to stop. He has mocked a woman again. The "Liar in Chief" accuses someone else of being a liar, and called for her to "apologize." That word, "apologize", is something Trump has never done.

If you want to describe or give your audience a feeling for the holocaust, or "Man's Inhumanity To Man", then this is the vehicle to use..Show it..be warned, it is so powerful, that you will never forget what you see, neither will any of your viewers..It is impossible to describe, intermixing l955 footage of Auchwitz Concentration Camp, with captured Nazi footage which the allies found at the end of the war, and the scenes of American and British troops liberating the camps...In French, with English subtitles.. and scenes that are unforgettable and horrific. Even the sad music of death from this film plays in my ears, and I have not seen it in 15 years. Once you hear it, you will know.

This is the one to show if you want people to understand the truth of what happened and the reason for its reaction in today's current events....It is shocking in a special way. I showed it to my classes. Students were warned, and told what was coming, they said it would be "nothing" By the end some were crying and moaning in horror...

A Chicago cop who tortured suspects for years, finally caught and convicted.

This is NOT A NEW STORY ..it happened years ago, (8 years ago) but is of interest because of current stories of police corruption. that is my opinion. The mere fact that the conviction occurred years after Burge was fired is something very rare in today's world.

Very strange story about a well known officer who tortured suspects for years, and was eventually convicted for doing so. (conviction on June 28, 2010) He was a commander in the Chicago Police Department, ..Commander Jon Burge...

In 2003, Governor George Ryan pardoned four of Burge's victims who were on death row and whose convictions were based on coerced confessions

(rest of story at link above) Yes, this is an incredible story. Way beyond what is believable. If you have never heard of this, be warned, this is real, all of this happened, and Burge was caught and eventually convicted for other charges, and he did serve time in prison. (that last sentence, highlighted, is perhaps the most unbelievable part of this entire story. Why? to try and convict an officer almost 20 years after he was fired, for crimes that were committed long before he was fired, was by itself hard to believe, especially a commander who had very powerful political connections.)

The simple reason that Mueller will get Trump:

..Trump acts like and thinks that he can get away with anything and say anything. As a businessman who has lots of money and lots of people who will take a hit for him, (for money) his life has been that. Yes, bankruptcies, divorce, books that expose him, failed TV shows and so on. I don't know it all, and I don't care.
..There is an arrogance of Trump that defies all reason. "No one is going to get me." Trump thinks. That is why Mueller will get him, one way or another. That kind of arrogance and belief that Trump can defy everyone and everybody is why Mueller will get him.
...Yes, it will take time. Why? As Muller goes up the line, one or two at a time, it takes time. It is all very simple: One testifies against another and another and so on. Trump's attitude that "he can do anything and get away with it, is what will get him". Muller has been through this before. Getting the bad guy. Trump can hire whoever he wants. It won't matter. He can say that he didn't do it. It won't matter. Mueller's team is smarter than Trump's team and is focused on getting Trump. It will take time, but, Mueller's team will get Trump and his gang.

There will be a "Blue Wave" because of one simple idea, " telling the truth."

That is why there could be a "Blue Wave" like no other in history.

... To our families and friends we try to tell the truth. These are people that we want to trust, and we want our family and closest friends to trust us. We know a lot of people who lie a lot, but among our closest relationships, we want the truth.
..Politicians lie a lot, some are better than others and some are worse than others. Barack Obama lied very little. He stood above that. We all know that Obama was a "class act" Further, Obama was respected around the world by almost everyone..
..Donald Trump lies all the time. His behavior goes against everything we teach our children, and everything we try to teach in our classrooms. In our closest friendships and family relationships we want the truth. That is at the heart of it all. Trump is perhaps the least respected leader in today's world.
...Donald Trump it seems is unable to tell the truth. For example, he said in the last 2 days, that Ivanka was the best qualified person to be the U.N. Ambassador. That is such an obvious lie, that he has made a fool of himself...again. He lies about anything and everything. We all know that...
...Many Republicans who have been life long Republicans are repulsed by this. There is some proof of this. A few have come out and said that they will vote for the Democratic Party for the first time. It is unknown how great that repulsion is. But we will find out in less than a month. I believe that this repulsion is greater than anybody knows. I believe there are millions of Republicans who will vote for the Democratic Party as way to show how dissatisfied they are with the "Liar Donald Trump". Many more will not vote at all. That is another way to show total and complete hatred of Trump's lies. Most Republicans will not turn to Obama, and say he lied as much as Trump. That is not true, and deep down they know it. The "Trump Lies" about everything and anything are repulsive, and go to the heart of relationships with families and friends.
.....In business deals, the truth is paramount. The earnings reports from businesses are very important, and are expected to be true. But Trump lied about his businesses, as he lies about everything. I guess some people expected a change when he was elected to this office. Donald Trump has gotten worse, not better.
....Because of the repulsion around "Trump's Lies", I believe there will be a "Blue Wave" unlike any other in the last 50 years. Perhaps much stronger than 1932 and 1936. .This is the very best way that Republicans can take a stand against the "Lying Donald Trump". Yes, it may be a one time thing, or it may be a lot more. Either way, we will see about this repulsion about President Trump's lies in less than a month. And yes, I do believe this is going to happen. We will see.
