Here's a treat for ya...The Guardian reviews Palin's speech yesterday......this is hilarious

2 examples, but there is so much hilarity here:

And so it begins. These two really look great next to each other, don’t they? When in the same room, their spray tans seem almost human. Imagine a hyper-intelligent species from another galaxy coming to Earth and intercepting the satellite feed of this horrendous speech. First of all, they’d have no idea how to decipher our language and second, they’d assume Valencia oranges were our babies.

Instead of leaving the stage for a pee break or sitting down outside of the frame like anyone else would, Trump lingers. He just stands there like the Colossus of Rhodes, breaking character only to give a thumbs up or smile when Palin forms a complete sentence.

Daniel Ken Holtzclaw is a former Oklahoma City Police Department police officer.
He was convicted in December 2015 of multiple counts of rape, sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy and other charges.

All of you who knew Palin had a grift going on for her Trump endorsement...you were right:

Palin PAC sends fundraising pitch touting Trump endorsement

“Yesterday was a historic day,” reads an email from SarahPAC. “After touring the country for her book tour and hearing from thousands of people, Governor Palin went all in for Donald Trump.”

“SarahPAC plans to continue endorsing anti-establishment candidates who will not play politics as usual,” the email continues.

“In order to get Sarah to political events to support endorsed candidates we need your help to fundraise her travel.”

The email struck veteran fundraisers as unusual, because campaigns typically foot travel bills for surrogates and since it would appear discordant for Sarah PAC to donate to Trump’s campaign.

While Palin’s PAC has donated to dozens of endorsed candidates, Trump has cast his campaign as self-financed. Despite that, outside donors provided more cash than the candidate himself through the first nine months of the year.

ISIS is getting a 50% pay cut!

Archive of Islamic State Administrative Documents blog has this interesting gem, of last month:

Specimen 12Q: Lowering of salaries for fighters by 50%

So on account of the exceptional circumstances the Islamic State is facing, it has been decided to reduce the salaries that are paid to all mujahideen by half, and it is not allowed for anyone to be exempted from this decision, whatever his position. Let it be known that work will continue to distribute provisions twice every month as usual.

And God is the guarantor of success.

You may remember that apparently a bank was blown up and a lot of money was destroyed, plus Russia has been for the pst 3 months taking aim at oil sources.

Welcome to our world, ISIS...

I have something positive to say about Palin

Pls bear with me.

The book and the movie Game Change ( I watched the movie last night again) point out what Palin's attraction was to her supporters..
Voters, esp. women, felt she related to them.
Or they related to her, sorta the same thing.
We can giggle and point to it, but that is a mistake, cause it is important...she connected to them, in ways McCain did not.
Even after McCain lost, she was still popular.
Right or wrong, that is a fact.

Now, fast forward to this election.
Which of the 2 leading candidates on the Dem. ticket is relating best to the voters?
Who is coming across as more engaged with people and more trustworthy?

and, for that matter, who on the Repub. side is speaking what those supporters are thinking and feeling?

Just wanted to share this picture with you, in memory of how amazing it was 8 years ago.

Are we close to seeing turn outs like this for any candidate?

Obama at Dem convention just before McCain announced Palin as his running mate..(screenshot of a news still)

GOP Lawmaker Straight-Up Asks A Group Of Teenagers If They're Virgins

Washington state Rep. Mary Dye (R) asked a group of teenagers visiting her office in Olympia for a Teen Lobbying Day if they were virgins, according to a Tuesday report from The Seattle Times.

The students, who were accompanied by a Planned Parenthood representative, were advocating for expanded insurance coverage for birth control, according to the report.

During their meeting, the Republican lawmaker asked the half-dozen students if they were virgins before she "suggested one was not," according to the Times. The Planned Parenthood representative, Rachel Todd, told the students they didn't have to answer Dye's question.

A Washington House Republicans spokesman confirmed Dye's line of questioning to the newspaper, and Dye herself later issued an apology.
