dixiegrrrrl's JournalOkay guys...How cold IS it?
Yesterday am, the incompetent weather people said it would be 59 today.
It is 42.
and the supposed ...revised...high of 48 is not going to be reached, esp. since we are now getting wind gusts up to 29mph from the north.
Just a reminder..I live in a SUBTROPICAL zone.
New Plugin Shows Exactly Where Your Congressperson’s Money Comes From
Youll never lose track of whos funding your Congressperson again.
Greenhouse is a new plugin for Chrome and Safari (Firefox coming soon) that automatically highlights the name of any US lawmaker that appears on whichever webpage you happen to browsing. Just hover over their name for a detailed breakdown of exactly where their money comes from:

Canada pipeline lawyer argues in court protester's facial expressions constitute assault.
Kinder Morgan( HUGE oil company) lawyer Bill Kaplan told the court that activists who have blocked a subsidiary pipeline builder in a Metro Vancouver conservation area obstructed workers in part by making faces.
Millions in damages are being sought.
snip:
Mr. Kaplan had argued the defendants conspired against Kinder Morgan, employing social media and telephone networks to harm the oil company and pipeline builder Trans Mountain as they seek to nearly triple capacity by expanding a route under Burnaby Mountain.
He entered into evidence photographs of protesters wearing facial expressions he said demonstrate anger and violence.
One of the things I will argue is that is not only intimidation, but that is actually an assault, he said on Wednesday

People have a Twitter page making faces now, plus linking to a "devastating " study showing the oil company finances. Worth a visit.

More good news! Karma train hits mortgage companies that ripped off homeowners.
Remember that banks used to service your mortgage, until new rules hit a coupe of years ago.
Then the banks sold mortgage payment rights to non-bank servicers, who did not have to follow the new rules.
So THEY promptly found ways to screw homeowners, resulting in massive civil and in some cases, criminal lawsuits.
Walter Investment Management Corp. tumbled 21 percent, leaving it down 51 percent in 2014
.(because of investigations into their subsidiary Green Tree which collects my mortgage payments)
Ocwen Financial Corp., the largest nonbank servicer, has fallen 61 percent this year.
The firms, which collectively manage about $1 trillion of home loans, gained Wall Streets favor after the housing crash by focusing on servicing soured mortgages. Now, their challenge of moving past that receding business is becoming clear as regulators investigate whether the three companies mistreated customers. Ocwen may face settlement costs in New York over its handling of loan modifications, and Walter Investment has put aside money amid investigations in states including California.
The nonbank servicers have become the next villains in the post-financial-crisis fixation on finding someone to blame, said Jaret Seiberg, an analyst at Guggenheim Securities in Washington. All these investigations are creating a much more expensive environment and making it harder for them to make money.
And Bank of America posted a loss because of all its fines and settlement fees.
Wish we had an icon for crocodile tears.

We Charge Genocide, a group formed in response to the nation wide police killings of minorities.
I hope you can take a minute to become aware of them, and of how many Fergusons there are across the country.
89 were killed. Here, We Charge Genocide presents twelve of their stories.
They are the stories of children, beloved siblings, young fathers, a grandmother, and one survivor: a small snapshot of the people whose lives were ended and whose communities were tragically altered by Chicago police violence.

there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there?
There were mass global protests in 400 cities Nov. 5th.
It was the 3rd Annual Million Mask March.
My questions is.....did anyone here see or hear about it on MSM??
Not interested in debating the pros or cons of the march itself, just want to know was there any MSM coverage.
(for the record, Ferguson did have its share of marchers)
anyone surprised? ....US may significantly hike number of troops in Iraq; announcement expected soon
Breaking News dot com headline
Waiting for the announcement.....tis Friday, isn't it?
