using laparoscopic power morcellators to treat uterine fibroids can spread undiagnosed cancer.

FDA warns against using laparoscopic power morcellators to treat uterine fibroids.

Info here at link
http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm424435.htm

There are several large lawsuits now.

And
Aetna to stop covering routine use of morcellator fibroid-removal device--breaking news.

These tools are used kinda like a hand blender, of course really really small, to moosh up the tissue and then it is suctioned out of the uterus.
Problem is the mooshing up part spreads possible undiagnosed cancer cells all thru the uterus.

I have been following this story since I saw a gyn doc last year, when such a procedure was a possibility.
Now happy to see one insurance company is wisely avoiding future lawsuits.

It's a....Cheesus cake

The Arizona Republic reports that when the family in Scottsdale, Ariz., pulled their (cheesecake) dessert out of the oven, it cracked as it cooled and formed a crucifix.

The family members, who have not given their names publicly, say the crucifix is a message.
The family calls it a “holiday miracle.”

Did you see Geraldo's other faux pas on John Oliver Sunday night?

Geraldo thought he identified a hip hop artist, but it wasn't?

The guy is such a tool..he has become a parody of himself.
Does he drink, or what?

Blues guitarist B.B. King is in home hospice care in Las Vegas,

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Blues legend B.B. King is telling fans he's in hospice care at home in Las Vegas.

The 89-year-old musician posted thanks to fans on his official website Friday for well-wishes and prayers.

Las Vegas police Officer Jesse Roybal says an ambulance was summoned Thursday to King's address and a person was hospitalized following what was characterized as a dispute over medical care.
The hospitalization was the second in a month for King, who was diagnosed with diabetes decades ago.

In October, he canceled the final shows of his 2014 tour after falling ill in Chicago.
