17-year-old created a new app to expose sellout politicians

The plugin called Greenhouse works with Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers, and it can be downloaded at www.allaregreen.us.
After installation, when a politician’s name comes up in article text, the app will break down their top ten monetary influences.
The plugin is free and simple to use, as noted in this article by Vice.com.
“Greenhouse allows people to see the money story behind the news story,” said Rubin to Vice.
The name Greenhouse was created by combining three symbolic ideas: the color of money, the two houses of Congress, and the transparency of a greenhouse.

More sunflower seed recalls because of listeria threat:
I think by now that any products containing sunflower seed kernels is suspect.
The recall is widening, and now includes trail mixes and other combos
in the following states via retail stores: IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, NJ, NY, PA,VA, WV and SC, between March 22, 2016, and May 21, 2016.

HEADS UP.....Extensive recall of nuts, esp. sunflower seeds
and as I type this I am munching on one of the recalled products.
But have been eating them for 4 days, so they seem ok.
Still, off the grocery list for awhile.

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE: THS) today expanded its voluntary recall of products containing sunflower kernels which may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (L.mono).
This follows the announcement on May 18, 2016, by our supplier SunOpta of its expanded recall of sunflower kernels which have the potential to be contaminated with L. mono.
L.mono is an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
Product was distributed nationwide through retail stores. The additional products being recalled as part of the expansion are listed below. Consumers can find UPC codes and Best By/Date Codes on each package.

This raises interesting questions..chief of which is...why is the FBI continously trying to make patsies into terrorists then charging them?
But the FBI supplied the bomb.
The device was fake, part of an undercover FBI sting operation that, like hundreds of controversial investigations before it, used an undercover informant to target an alleged terrorist.
In the Miami case, federal authorities accuse 40-year-old James Medina of planning to bomb the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center north of the city.
Apart from the fact that the FBI supplied Medina with the weapon that he intended to use against the Jewish center, rights activists and legal experts are troubled by the facts presented by the FBI and Justice Department. Their concern includes instances where the informant, or "confidential human source" in bureau parlance, offered to assist Medina in attacking the center, and even suggested that he link the attack to the Islamic State.

The court found that the DEP was not complying with its legal obligation to reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions and ordered the agency to “promulgate regulations that address multiple sources or categories of sources of greenhouse gas emissions, impose a limit on emissions that may be released … and set limits that decline on an annual basis.”
“This is an historic victory for young generations advocating for changes to be made by government. The global climate change crisis is a threat to the well being of humanity, and to my generation, that has been ignored for too long,” youth plaintiff Shamus Miller, age 17, said.
“Today, the Massachusetts Supreme Court has recognized the scope and urgency of that threat and acknowledges the need for immediate action to help slow the progression of climate change. There is much more to be done both nationally and internationally but this victory is a step in the right direction and I hope that future efforts have similar success.”
