18 AGs just filed suit to stop Trump's family separation policy.

NEW YORK – Attorney General Barbara D. Underwood filed a lawsuit today challenging the Trump Administration’s policy of forced family separation on the U.S. southern border. The multistate lawsuit was filed by a coalition of 18 Attorneys General in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

“Keeping children separated from their parents is inhumane, unconscionable, and illegal – and we’re filing suit to stop it,” said Attorney General Underwood. “By tearing children away from their parents and sending them hundreds of miles away, the Trump administration has already caused unfathomable trauma to these children, while undermining New York’s fundamental interests in protecting their health, safety, and wellbeing. This is not who we are as a country, and we won’t stand by as the Trump administration undermines the Constitution and our rights.”

Military members respond to Trump's plan to create a "kiddy Gitmo". Excellent article.

A former guard at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, retired Army specialist Brandon Neely, told The Daily Beast that sending undocumented children and families for on-base detention was “like Gitmo.”

“It’s like [Trump] uses the military for whatever he wants. It’s not the military’s job to house immigrants in detention facilities.”

"Follow the money" they said. So we did, and made a chart from it......Medium

Social Media and Influence Companies Related to the Trump Russia Story
Chart and highlights of companies reportedly involved with influence campaigns supporting Trump including SCL/Cambridge Analytica, Psy-Group, Black Cube, Data Propria and others.

https://medium.com/wsiegelman/social-media-and-influence-companies-related-to-the-trump-russia-story-44fc3b5852c0

What the chart shows is a lot of companies involved actually were/are owned by just a handful of people. Erik Prince, the Mercers, some others.
They simply created LLC s for a project, then shut them down when not needed.

Be sure to read the descriptions of who did what, it is a surprisingly short list.

If anyone can copy and paste, I'd appreciate it. For some reason I don't seem to be able to tonight. The link is a reply to Sen. Barbara Boxer.

$3.4 billion in last 4 years paid to 71 companies which profit from immigrant children.

The babies are usually the first to be adopted out quickly.

the kids held in various "facilities" are drugged.

From a recent lawsuit:

Shiloh is among 71 companies that receive funds from the federal government to house and supervise immigrant children deemed unaccompanied minors.

An investigation by Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting and The Texas Tribune found that nearly half of the $3.4 billion paid to those companies in the last four years went to homes with serious allegations of mistreating children. In nearly all cases reviewed by Reveal, the federal government continued contracts with the companies after serious allegations were raised.

At Reveal’s request, forensic psychiatrist Mark. J. Mills assessed materials from 420 pages of children’s medical records and statements filed in California federal court this April.

“You don’t have to be a rocket scientist here; it looks like they’re trying to control agitation and aggressive behavior with antipsychotic drugs,” said Mills, who practices in the Washington, D.C., area and was an expert witness for a lawsuit that in 2008 stopped the federal government from forcibly administering antipsychotic drugs to deportees.https://www.texastribune.org/2018/06/20/immigrant-children-forcibly-injected-drugs-lawsuit-claims/

The Billion-Dollar Business of Operating Shelters for Migrant Children

Part if not much of the reason they won't let go of the kids.

HARLINGEN, Tex. — The business of housing, transporting and watching over migrant children detained along the southwest border is not a multimillion-dollar business.

It’s a billion-dollar one.

The nonprofit Southwest Key Programs has won at least $955 million in federal contracts since 2015 to run shelters and provide other services to immigrant children in federal custody. Its shelter for migrant boys at a former Walmart Supercenter in South Texas has been the focus of nationwide scrutiny, but Southwest Key is but one player in the lucrative, secretive world of the migrant-shelter business. About a dozen contractors operate more than 30 facilities in Texas alone, with numerous others contracted for about 100 shelters in 16 other states.

If there is a migrant-shelter hub in America, then it is perhaps in the four-county Rio Grande Valley region of South Texas, where about a dozen shelters occupy former stores, schools and medical centers. They are some of the region’s biggest employers, though what happens inside is often highly confidential: One group has employees sign nondisclosure agreements, more a fixture of the high-stakes corporate world than of nonprofit child-care centers.

Welp, they are drugging the refugee kids.

Lots of convo about it on Twitter, and esp. this lawsuit, filed a month or so ago, has details about overuse of medicines, some kids get 10 kinds a day. That is known as chemical straightjackets and is a widespread practice in various kinds of group homes, including nursing homes.
There are also details of casual brutality, sexual abuse, restraint torture, etc. Southwest Key is mentioned a few times.
