It is not only the hottest temperature on record since the park opened in 1955, it is the hottest temperature recorded at any of the Disney parks around the world (including Orlando, Paris, Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong), according to Theme Park Insider.

Because of the oppressive heat, park officials closed all outdoor rides, including Big Thunder and Mountain Railroad. Several food vendors also shut down because of the heat. Those who went to the park on that day said that lines for rides were short, as the park was practically empty.

Disney first aid staff were on call to help guests experiencing dehydration. “There was one medic run right after the other,” one park cast member said.

California Prosecutor Who Questioned Why Maxine Waters Hadn’t Been Shot Suspended By San Bernardino DA

Michael Selyem, a San Bernardino County, California, deputy district attorney, was suspended by the DA's office Monday in the wake of intense backlash over his recently unearthed social media posts.

Mike Ramos, the San Bernardino County DA, said in a statement Monday that Selyem will be placed on administrative leave while an investigation into his actions takes place, according to KABC-TV.

"The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office does not condone hate, discrimination or incitement of violence," Ramos said in a statement posted Monday afternoon. "Our community and the entire criminal justice system depends on having fair, ethical, and unbiased prosecutors."

The investigation could lead to "disciplinary action leading up to termination," according to Ramos.

The three men, who were all corrections officers, were convicted after an FBI informant told authorities that the men planned to kill a black inmate after the incarcerated man was released from prison. The plan was allegedly hatched at a meeting of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, where all three men worshipped under the leadership of pastor Wyatt P. Pull.

(One of the officers, Moran--yes, his real last name) argue that it was unfair that his retirement could be stolen just because he tried to have someone killed. Moran argued that he didn’t plot the murder while he was at work, so his benefits shouldn’t be stripped away, which is a bold statement, even in Florida.

But apparently, the K in 401k does not stand for “Klan.” His request was denied.
