dixiegrrrrl's JournalI like this pic of Pres. Obama and our First Lady.
They are both touchers, huggers, comfortable being physically close to each other in public, and at this site are some wonderful pics of them during the last 12 years.

I thought this one said a lot:
House Freedom Caucus wants To Undo 232 Rules On Net Neutrality, other consumer protection laws
The list was released this week by Rep. Mark Meadows (NC), who chairs the conservative Freedom Caucus, a group of federal lawmakers formed in 2015 that openly advocates for limited government.
Repealing or revising some rules certainly those that are at least a year old will require either entirely new rules, or legislative action. As weve mentioned in previous stories, newer regulations those finalized in the final few months of the Obama administration can be rolled back via the Congressional Review Act.
That 1996 law only used once successfully since its creation allows Congress to review and issue a joint memorandum of disapproval on rules they wish to undo. The President must sign that memorandum (or Congress must override a veto) for the rule to be rolled back.
PDF at the link, more programs on the list at the link. Really important to read and become familiar with what is under the axe. They are going to target Eliz Warren's Consumer Protection program.
Transition Adviser Peter Thiel Could Directly Profit From Mass Deportations
In a separate multimillion-dollar contract signed in 2014, Thiels $20 billion company is building a complex case management system for ICEs HSI, which processes tens of thousands of civil and criminal cases each year.
Working closely with a president-elect who has pledged to dramatically expand ICE, Thiels varied connections to the immigration agency place him in a position to potentially benefit financially from a deportation campaign that carries highly personal stakes for millions of Americans.
Since Thiel joined Trumps transition team last month, Palantirs wide-ranging contracts with federal agencies that include the Department of Homeland Security, the Defense Department, and the Central Intelligence Agency have raised eyebrows of ethics watchdogs. In recent years, the federal government has reportedly paid Palantir some $340 million in contracts.
Concerns over Thiels potential conflicts deepened last week when it was reported that he would not confirm whether or not he had signed standard paperwork barring him from participating in Trump transition matters that might conflict with his private interests.
Now he's punishing Twitter:
Report: Twitter told it was cut from meeting with Trump in retribution for refusing to allow emoji version of hashtag 'CrookedHillary,' source tells PoliticoTwitter was told it was "bounced" from Wednesday's meeting between tech executives and President-elect Donald Trump in retribution for refusing during the campaign to allow an emoji version of the hashtag #CrookedHillary, according to a source close to the situation.
Twitter is one of the few major U.S. tech companies not represented at Wednesday afternoon's Trump Tower meeting attended by, among others, Apple's Tim Cook, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg and Tesla's Elon Musk an omission all the more striking because of Trump's heavy dependence on the Twitter platform. With some 17.3 million followers of his account, the president-elect has made Twitter into the de facto press channel of his transition operation.
Trump has had public beefs with other tech execs at the sit-down. He's criticized Cook over Apple's refusal to decrypt a cellphone whose owner was implicated in a terrorist incident, for example, and Bezos over his ownership of The Washington Post. But, it seems, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's role in what the Trump operation saw as the breaching of a deal was a step too far for those close to Trump.
The incident at issue was detailed in a Medium post last month by Gary Coby, director of digital advertising and fundraising for the Trump campaign. According to Coby, Dorsey personally intervened to block the Trump operation from deploying as part of a $5 million deal between the social media company and the campaign an emoji showing, in various renderings, small bags of money being given away or stolen. That emoji would have been offered to users as a replacement for the hashtag #CrookedHillary, a preferred Trump insult for his Democratic opponent.

The biggest loser is us. the Act allows for less testing of drugs before they are put on the market.
