For those who are curious, here's blue/red Ala. county results map.

( Taken earlier, too close to call time)

What this is showing you is the HUGE number blue votes in the Black Belt, that ribbon of blue from west to east below Montgomery.
Black voters came out in giant numbers, even more than for Obama, they are saying.
they white areas are the ones not yet counted at time of this graphic.

My county went to Moore by 32 votes.

I am happy to see our county is 49% sane. I am happy I went to vote.
don't know if those figures need a 2nd look.

Alabama Sno-geddon!!! check in...got pics?

Here in Harper Lee ville, it has been coming down for over a couple of hours and more predicted till wee hours.
a serious respectable amount. Sticking well to decks and stuff, little less stick to the wet lawns, but since the temps are dipping to high 20's, it should be around early am.
I expect to take pics tomorrow. First snow since 2010.

What about you?

Remember what happened to the FIRST guy who said kings were above the law:

At his trial in 1649, Charles I defended himself: ""No learned lawyer will affirm that an impeachment can lie against the King... one of their maxims is, that the King can do no wrong."

The great-grandfathers of the authors of the Constitution cut off Charles' head for that.

Here's some examples how the tax bill favors Congress members.

Key GOP lawmakers maintain close ties to individuals connected to the booze industry.

The tax cut legislation includes a provision that cuts taxes on beer, wine, and liquor produced or imported into the country, saving companies involved around $4.2 billion over 10 years:

Sen. Blunt’s son Andy Blunt is a registered lobbyist for MillerCoors
Sen. John McCain's wife McCain, owns of Hensley Beverage, a major beer distributor. Hensley Beverage’s trade group, National Beer Wholesalers Association, lobbied in support of the very same special tax cuts that are in the bill.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, voted for opening drilling in Alaska. Her sister works for the Waterfall Foundation, an Alaska-based charity,
which has an oil biz. Board member and which gets big donations from oil industry.

McCain, who gets tax payer cancer treatment, just voted to vote to end Medicare cancer treatment

And we paid him to do it.

The last time these cuts were triggered, cancer patients were denied treatment. And it's going to happen again. The last time it was resolved when the government shutdown ended. This time it's permanent.

MY cancer is being treated under a Medicare grant that allows rural hospitals to treat cancer locally instead of making them drive 4 hours round trip for their chemo and tests.

anyone who has had a close encounter with cancer ( family, friends, maybe themselves) knows how physically demanding treatment can be.
WE paid for McCain's treatment, but he decides we don't get the same thing.

I am seeing red right now and very glad I do not own a weapon.

This Congress has declared war on anyone who is not a rich white male. period.
We can't afford to be nice against this form of genocide.
