Anyone have information on how Bloomberg is helping virus victims?

I mean, he IS doing something, isn't he?

after all his talk about wanting to take on trump, it seems a natural step for him to help with the medical needs, it would be such a slap in the face to trump.

Surely Bloomberg has thought of that, right?

Right?

anyone....?

Investigative reporter Craig Unger: "Trump has had contacts with the Russian mafia for 35 years"

Salon mag. interview with Craig Unger about his book on Trump and Russia, posted in 2018.
I somehow had missed this.
But now, 2 years later, we can see and understand it more clearly.
Trump and all the Republican politicals , esp. Yertle, and Graham, and those Tea Party members who have left Gov't, who took Russia $$$ are actual real life treasonous traitors.

the Russians didn't just go after Donald Trump: They went after the entire Republican Party. There is Russian money going into the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, the NRA, and then to Republican officials and candidates directly.

Donald Trump has had contacts with the Russian mafia for 35 years. His properties have laundered money for them. The Russian mafia are connected to Russian intelligence. They’re living and have been working in Trump's building. Trump has even partnered with them. There are so many ways in which he’s compromised.

These were ways of laundering money that Trump had. The financing of building projects that involved $400 million or $500 million to build a skyscraper. Once the building was built, they could sell the condos through the shell companies, limited liability corporations and so forth. This was done anonymously in all cash transactions with the Russian oligarchs and other people affiliated with the Russian mafia. They owned Trump before he ever met Putin

The 2020 presidential election will decide either the life or death of America.

I also believe that Donald Trump is democidal. I would even go so far as to say that he is a "democidal maniac". If you look at human history there is one trait that all malignant narcissistic leaders have in common: They kill mass numbers of their own people. Why would Donald Trump be any different?

In the course of a week, we literally had Trump's cultists, his spokespeople, saying, "People should sacrifice themselves for the economy." Literally go out and die. Of course the real meaning there is, "I want you to go out and die so that I can be re-elected because I'm dependent on the economy." Trump and his allies have been telling people to go out and risk their lives as an act of loyalty to "the economy." And of course Trump is willing to see people die to ensure — at least in his mind — that he will be re-elected. In many ways he is positioning himself as a god who demands human sacrifice.

Such behavior and beliefs are common among malignant narcissists. Malignant narcissists like Donald Trump view other human beings as kindling wood to be burned for their own personal enrichment and enlargement and expansion.

Beyond mere negligence, much of Trump's and his regime's behavior is malevolent. Trump and his sycophants knew that potentially millions of Americans could die but chose to do nothing. His administration has gone so far as to purge people from the government who were trying to warn the public.

If all the facts show that Donald Trump is a malignant narcissist with these powerful sadistic tendencies, this omnipotent destructiveness, where he's getting pleasure and a sense of power from dominating people and degrading people and destroying people and plundering people and laying waste to people, both psychologically and physically, then to deny such obvious facts is willful ignorance.

What do you think Donald Trump will do if, shortly before Nov. 3, it appears clear that he is going to lose the election?.........
The democidal maniac Donald Trump will attack us, badly. Make no mistake. Donald Trump is going to find a way to attack and cause great harm to the American people if he believes that he will lose the 2020 election.

Why AREN'T we naming Republicans as terrorists???

An excellent polemic by Robert Harrington......

....greed, the most evil and destructive and exclusively human trait on the planet. Greed — greed for money, greed for power, greed for status — is what drives the sickness known as the worldwide conservative movement and the Republican Party. Greed is what motivates your neighbors, without regard to your safety or the safety of others, to go into the streets and protest the lockdown. Greed is what causes Trump to encourage them. Greed is what causes governors in red states to reopen their states against medical advice. Greed is what is going to, paradoxically, cause the pandemic to be far worse than what it would have been otherwise. Greed is the human impulse we can blame for 55,000 dead Americans, and greed is what we must blame for the approximately half a million more Americans that could die by the end of next month. Gordon Gekko to the contrary, greed is not good.

And we have the Republican Party to thank for it. They had their chance in January to get rid of this child-raping, murdering psychopath infesting the Oval Office in January and they voted, almost unanimously, to keep him in. Because of their choice millions of Americans will probably die or be horribly disabled.

There is a thing in law called res ipsa loquitur, which means literally “speaks to the thing itself.” It is the legal doctrine that establishes that the occurrence of certain kinds of accidents are sufficient to assign the blame of negligence. These accidents are of the kind that are foreseeable by a reasonable person. Greed has caused the men and women of the United States Senate to become unreasonable and, as such, they didn’t (or wouldn’t) foresee the potential further disaster of the Trump presidency and, as a consequence, they today have the blood of their fellow Americans on their hands.

Not only must Trump go, so must they. Every last Republican one of them must go, if not in 2020 then by 2022. America doesn’t do business with terrorists, and if a group that willingly participates in the deaths and horrible mutilations of millions of Americans isn’t a terrorist organization then I don’t know what is.

Everything you want to know about those stimulus checks

WaPo has an excellent, non-paywall page with lots of answers.

If you haven’t received your money in the first wave of payments, don’t worry. It’s coming.

The first payments are being automatically sent to people who filed either a 2018 or 2019 federal tax return and received a refund using direct deposit.

Mailed checks, to filers who gave no bank information to the IRS, will start going out before the end of April.

Individuals who receive Social Security retirement, survivors or disability (Social Security Disability Insurance) benefits or Railroad Retirement benefits will automatically receive the $1,200 stimulus payment if they are eligible. The IRS announced that it has added to this group Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients.

The automatic payments for SSI recipients will go out no later than early May, according to the agency statement.

Here is a game that trump played at his recent briefing...

April 20th blabfest......

He bragged on two articles that praised him, naming the 2 people who had written them:
Rich Lowry and Kyle Smith. Those articles were also printed in several conservative news outlets, including the New York Post.

Lowry is Editor for The National Review, a conservative magazine created by William Buckley.

Smith also works for the National Review, thus for Lowry.

This article may save your life...

It's about how the virus kills thru silent pneumonia, which victims do not recognize in time, and how to notice it.

"........Patients compensate for the low oxygen in their blood by breathing faster and deeper — and this happens without their realizing it. This silent hypoxia, and the patient’s physiological response to it, causes even more inflammation and more air sacs to collapse, and the pneumonia worsens until oxygen levels plummet. In effect, patients are injuring their own lungs by breathing harder and harder. Twenty percent of Covid pneumonia patients then go on to a second and deadlier phase of lung injury. Fluid builds up and the lungs become stiff, carbon dioxide rises, and patients develop acute respiratory failure.

By the time patients have noticeable trouble breathing and present to the hospital with dangerously low oxygen levels, many will ultimately require a ventilator.

Silent hypoxia progressing rapidly to respiratory failure explains cases of Covid-19 patients dying suddenly after not feeling short of breath. (It appears that most Covid-19 patients experience relatively mild symptoms and get over the illness in a week or two without treatment.)

There is a way we could identify more patients who have Covid pneumonia sooner and treat them more effectively — and it would not require waiting for a coronavirus test at a hospital or doctor’s office. It requires detecting silent hypoxia early through a common medical device that can be purchased without a prescription at most pharmacies: a pulse oximeter.

Pulse oximetry is no more complicated than using a thermometer. These small devices turn on with one button and are placed on a fingertip. In a few seconds, two numbers are displayed: oxygen saturation and pulse rate. Pulse oximeters are extremely reliable in detecting oxygenation problems and elevated heart rates.
