Hell yes, and if I may humbly add

This nation, and indeed the world, needs to stop denying the REALITY of stochastic terrorism.

http://www.bartleby.com/17/1/79.html

In the above fable, the trumpeter, like so many media pundits, will insist they are not the ones doing the killing. Yes, speech, even offensive speech, should be protected, otherwise any speech that threatened the power of any dominant group could be called "offensive!" However, if you are accusing people of being criminals, then you had better take responsibility for what you say. responsibilities and rights are two halves of a whole; you cannot take one and not the other. This is especially true when you know that people have been killed over this issue.

Of course, the right wing, and sadly, way too many on the left wing, want all the powers the Bill of Rights gives us, but none of the responsibilities. We are not just talking about the old saw about yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. We are talking about a media which has allowed people to use weasel words and tricks to actually muddy the very idea of truth. Someone says a racial slur or lie, oh that person is an "artist" or "philosopher" because their books sell. Someone said they were for nasty idea X, something that just became unpopular even though it was the hottest selling idea last week? Oh no, we can prove they were for nasty idea X before they were against it, and when the polls change, the past will be made to adjust it. The enemy IS BULLSHIT, of all sorts, from all sources, and one of the worst bits of bullshit is the one that Aesop showed above, long before Alexander the great was a baby. The idea that you can indulge in urging people to attack someone and NOT claim responsibility is a lie, and it needs to be killed. This applies to abortion especially, and yes gun control, because let's face it, the reason the NRA and GOP are in wedlock is because the right loves to benefit from having a bunch of armed servants ready to attack someone with minimal, easily deniable responsibility.

Now, some of the right wing may not go to Freeper land and join the chorus of people cheering the deaths of left wing opponents. Surely they wept when Gabby Giffords or Rev. Clementa Pickney were shot, they were not like those others having a grave dance party. Yeah, maybe so, but then, their failure to outright and CLEARLY condemn that violence shows they are, at best, the trumpeters that play the notes.

About the Colorado clinic shooter.

As of this point, I have no way of knowing is this is another Dylan Roof who was pushed to kill by the same people that will deny they ever meant THAT, even though their language indicates sure talks about THAT. I do not whether this was another suicidal idiot that just wanted 15 minutes of fame before they die, you know, the working class males that are so driven by losing a job/wife that they feel this is their way to get even. Isis sure as hell has not claimed responsibility.

I will say several things based on facts that have been proven again and again, with the reliability of Swiss clockwork. If you are easily offended kindly stop reading this and find some Kittens to look at. Consider that what the college kids like to call a "trigger warning" pun intended.

OK first what NOT to do:

If you go ahead and start saying "the real focus is on mental illness" then do not be surprised when you get slapped down. I say this as someone with Asberger's and Bipolar Depression, yes, the same cocktail Adam Lanza had. Yet, like many of four corners of the globe, I have NOT gone on killing sprees. I am fortunate that I get treatment, no small thanks to the fact I am disability. However, there are people with my makeup, and far far far worse then me, who still manage to avoid shooting up places, why, gun control laws that demand that someone take RESPONSIBILITY for owning a gun, including how to store it safely. Note, that is not "go to Florida or Arizona where people sell whatever to whoever and do not care who they give it to." The mental illness issue is an attempt to deflect from the fact that anyone can get a gun and not have to go through half the hassle it takes to get a driver's license.

PS: do not dare bring up France. The reason those people got guns into Europe is because our dear friends the Saudis, Turks and "Syrian Moderates" have tons of CASH that we dare not trace.

Second: do not say "we have laws on the books already!" yes, and whose side has been making sure the agencies that enforce those laws are underfunded and attacked as jackboots at every turn. Remember Jan Brewer wagging her finger in Obama's face after Arizona stopped a sting? When a Governor can in effect say "fuck you" to the PRESIDENT, you know those laws will not get enforced.

Third: Do not wave the constitution. Do that, you will be told the very wording of the second amendment implies a well regulated Militia. Not that it matters.

Two men arrested in shooting of Black Lives Matter protesters in Minneapolis

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/11/24/five-people-shot-near-minneapolis-protest-cops-searching-for-3-white-male-suspects/

When a Murdoch owned beast like the WaPO post this, you know things have hit the fan.

Habu said the outsiders appeared to fit the description of white supremacists whom protesters had been told to watch out for — those wearing masks or camouflage clothing. He said that at one point, those who were wearing masks walked away, and some protesters followed them.

Several witness said police used pepper spray on those who were trying to help — apparently to get protesters away from the victims so that medical personnel could reach them. Brown said an officer put a gun to her face and told her to move back.

question Is Jeb wobbling or playing rope a dope?

Both are boxing terms, wobbling of course means someone is one good punch from being ko'ed, rope a dope is when you pretend you are wobbling, only to come out swinging when your opponent has already exhausted their energy.

It is easy to say that Rubio, Carson and Trump are eating his lunch, however, my concern is that we assume jeb is dead, when his family and backers show they are all too willing to keep him in the race. I fear that perhaps we may be like the teenagers in horror flicks who think they have killed the monster, only for him to revive and kill them all.

Your two cents?

No I do not HATE Hillary

I realize I cannot speak for others, nor will I deny that some others have really made a mess.

However, it seems easy to tar everyone who is not giving pure praise to Hillary as sexist. It has been done since 2008, and is revived now.

Some of us want Clinton to back the hell away from a centrist stance that has resulted in our party getting thrashed. Sadly, criticism is the one thing we have, and even some have to admit, it finally made her back off keystone and the tpp. We want a Democratic to win, and a sure fire way to lose is to follow the same pattern that had handed the GOP congress.

John Bel Edwards beats David Vitter to become Louisiana's next governor

http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2015/11/louisiana_governor_democrat.html#incart_maj-story-1

This part is worth noting, as it is from the native newspaper:

An Edwards administration is expected to be a marked shift from Gov. Bobby Jindal's approach to public policy over the past eight years. The Democrat is expected to bring Medicaid expansion to Louisiana shortly after taking office, meaning thousands of more Louisiana residents could have access to health insurance in a couple of months. Teachers unions and other organized labor groups will also have more of a voice with Edwards than they ever had with Jindal.

ok, so he is coming out the gate AGAINST the attempted MEDICAID CHOKE that many other governors, including my own Rick Scott, are doing. He is embracing Teacher's unions! I can tell this person must be ignoring the memos sent out by Debbie Wasserman Scultz.

Louisiana, I salute you. May you teach Kentucky and Florida that you CAN elect decent governors!

Caliph:a question about isis aka deash

I admit, I ask this question in the hopes to hear from those who know, especially the muslim Duers.

As I understand it, Al-Baghdaddi is claiming to be the Caliph.

Is the Caliph a singular, in other words, can there be only one Caliph, as there can only be one Pope or Archbishop of Canterbury?

Is there an established way to proclaim/elect a Caliph.

and admittedly the last and possibly prickly part:

If Baghdaddi is proclaiming to be the Caliph, is he a possible heretic?

"martin Luther? "

God, the fact that you allow people to invoke your name in such a manner makes it very, very hard to believe in you.

Trump may be many things, but he knows he is a pirate, but to think this scum will go to his grave thinking he is actually leading a virtuous life and doing good for people while grabbing as much loot as he can is not only sad, it shows that morality is a piss poor guide for seeing reality. The words of any prophet can be twisted so that all sorts of fiends can genuinely feel they are doing the right thing, the noble thing, the unselfish thing, all the while turning their fellow humans to fuel and charnel.
