Cognitive Distance: MOVING Through Hillary's Environment

“..The problem here isn’t that Bernie Sanders is a crazy-pants cuckoo bird,” Stewart said. “It’s that we’ve all become so accustomed to stage-managed, focus-group-driven candidates that authenticity comes across as lunacy...”

Cognitive Distances: Cognitive distances are mental representations of large-scale environmental distances that cannot be perceived from a single vantage point but require movement through the environment for their apprehension.

This primary race is an amazing and ongoing experiment in cognitive dissonance — it seems like Hillary Clinton is the ultimate liberal Democrat and the perfect candidate for president. Yes, it does seem that way. But if one takes the time to move through her environment, one gets a bigger picture of who she really is — a multi-millionaire power player who is all up in the Wall St/Military Industrial Complex game and will never quit playing it. She literally enriched herself by being a politician seeking influence and favors; the Clintons were dead broke after the Lewinsky scandal.

And yet, so many Dems are literally apoplectic at the realization that Hillary Clinton is not the candidate that we really need at this time.

In reality, we now have is an actual progressive candidate for president — a true Lefty. Bernie Sanders is not a sexy candidate. He's blunt and he's PISSED OFF, as we all should be after watching our manufacturing base disappear, taking the middle class along with it… after watching Wall Street tank our economy by gambling with our money, only to be 'bailed out' by Obama and Tim Geithner -- and to know that NOTHING has changed. That anger that Sanders displays is being expressed on our behalf, directed at the wealthiest in the nation who go by the philosophy of socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor...

"but, but.... Hillary!"

Bernie Sanders: Trump is ‘GETTING NERVOUS’

PRESS RELEASE

Sanders: Trump is ‘Getting Nervous’

DECEMBER 27, 2015

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Quoting Donald Trump’s assertion that wages in the United States are “too high,” U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday said Trump’s attempt to back away from his own words shows that the Republican front-runner is “getting nervous that working families are catching on” to his views.

“Donald Trump says that I’m a liar because I said he believes wages in America are too high. Really?” Sanders said in response to Trump’s assertion on Twitter on Sunday. “This is what CNN reported last Nov. 12,” Sanders added. “Trump insisted on Thursday that the U.S. must keep wages low in order to compete with other countries, one day after he dug in on his assertion that ‘wages are too high’ in America. ‘Whether it’s taxes or wages, if they’re too high we’re not going to be able to compete with other countries,’ Trump said Thursday morning on Fox News. Trump first said he believes wages are ‘too high’ during Tuesday night’s Republican debate.”

“It appears that Mr. Trump is getting nervous that working families are catching on that his policies represent the interests of the billionaire class against almost everyone else. He refuses to support raising the minimum wage. He believes wages are too high and he wants to provide hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks to the very richest families in America. That’s not an agenda that ‘makes America great.’ It’s just another Republican billionaire wanting to make the very rich richer at the expense of working families.”

Why PUMA References Reflect Poorly on Hillary Rodham Clinton: A History Lesson

I’ve noticed a lot of HRC supporters refer to Sanders supporters as PUMAs. Well, first, PUMA were nominal Clinton supporters in 2008. I say ‘nominal’ because the undisputed queen of the PUMAs, Darragh Murphy, only donated to McCain prior to that.

Another notable PUMA adds to the irony, Lynn Forrester, Lady de Rothschild, seen here calling a man who grew up on food stamps an elitist, herself the daughter of an aircraft tycoon who married a baron. (The video was uploaded by another notable PUMA, Larry Johnson, best known for the ‘whitey tape’ hoax, but it actually is AC360.)

What am I getting at? PUMA created the smears about Obama, PUMA nominally supported Clinton, but PUMA really supported McCain and thought Clinton was unelectable.

When you remind people of PUMA, what you’re telling me is “Hillary can’t win—vote Hillary!”

(As an aside, the 2008 campaign was when I fell out of love with Ms Clinton, due to the racially-charged nature of the campaign, and not just the PUMAs.)

A TERRIFIED Trump Throws A TWITTER TANTRUM After Bernie Sanders Truth Bombs His Lies

CALL THE WAAAAABULANCE........BERNIE MESSED THE DONALD'S HAIR..........

A terrified Donald Trump threw a temper tantrum on Twitter after Bernie Sanders obliterated the billionaire by fact bombing his lies. During an interview on CBS’ Face The Nation, Sen. Sanders said, “Meanwhile, interestingly enough, John, this is a guy who does not want to raise the minimum wage. In fact, he has said that he thinks wages in America are too high. But he does want to give hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks to top three-tenths of one percent.”

Trump responded by throwing a fit on Twitter:

Donald J. Trump ✔@realDonaldTrump

.@BernieSanders-who blew his campaign when he gave Hillary a pass on her e-mail crime, said that I feel wages in America are too high. Lie!

11:49 AM - 27 Dec 2015

Video proves that Trump has said that wages are too high twice. The first time was during the Fox Business Republican presidential debate:

Video evidence:...Ooops! darn truth!...

During the debate, Trump said, “But, taxes too high, wages too high, we’re not going to be able to compete against the world. I hate to say it, but we have to leave it the way it is. People have to go out, they have to work really hard and have to get into that upper stratum. But we can not do this if we are going to compete with the rest of the world. We just can’t do it.” Trump repeated the same point about wages the next morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe:

Trump said, “We have to become competitive with the world. Our taxes are too high. Our wages are too high.” Sen. Sanders (I-VT) responded to Trump by saying that the billionaire is getting nervous.

Sanders said, “Donald Trump says that I’m a liar because I said he believes wages in America are too high. Really?…It appears that Mr. Trump is getting nervous that working families are catching on that his policies represent the interests of the billionaire class against almost everyone else. He refuses to support raising the minimum wage. He believes wages are too high, and he wants to provide hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks to the very richest families in America. That’s not an agenda that ‘makes America great.’ It’s just another Republican billionaire wanting to make the very rich richer at the expense of working families.”

Bernie Sanders: "I Am Getting a REALLY GOOD FEELING About Iowa"

"...There is only one more debate before the six early states, Sunday January 17th in South Carolina. That debate is sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus. It is unfortunate that there haven't been more debates and that they have been so poorly scheduled. Bernie is clearly running against Hillary Clinton and the DNC who has already anointed Clinton. I don't think the DNC will get their way this time. Bernie may crash the coronation and take the nomination..."

This Bernie speech is well worth a watch!!.....its 58 minutes long but worth it.....

During a recent three-day swing through Iowa, Bernie Sanders took the stage before 1,800 supporters in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and declared that he believes he can win Iowa and New Hampshire, creating a path to victory.

"I am getting a really good feeling about Iowa. Last night we were in Sioux City and had about 1,200 people out, tonight I think we have about 1,500 people out here. [Official crowd estimate, 1,800] ... So keep it a secret, don't tell anybody: I think we are going to win here, we are going to make history. And I think we have a great chance to win New Hampshire, and if you win Iowa and New Hampshire you have a path to victory."

The media will not tell you this, but recent polling shows a path to victory for Bernie as well. If you watch the pundits you will hear them say Sanders will run into a wall after New Hampshire. They continue to say he is not connecting with non-white voters. They must not be looking at their own polls. A new CNN survey shows that Bernie has demonstrated growing support among what the pollster refers to as non-white voters. In a survey last April, he had only 1 percent of voters in that category. As he has made a concerted effort to reach out to African-Americans and Latinos, Sanders' support has grown to an impressive 32 percent in the most recent poll.

The poll also has Bernie gaining on Hillary Clinton among all voters nationally. Clinton has dropped 8 points to 50% and Sanders has risen 4 points to 34%. President Obama was down 28 points nationally 8 years ago. So Bernie has reason to feel good about Iowa. He should also be feeling good about his chances to win the nomination. Momentum is on his side even though the corporate media won't admit it yet.

In the latest CBS poll of Iowa, Sanders was within 5 points of Clinton. Bernie has double digit leads in most polls of New Hampshire. He is right about what wins in both states would mean. It would shatter the belief among many that he can't win. Obama didn't start polling well nationally until he won Iowa.

Will Michael Moore Help PROPEL Bernie's Political Revolution?

Edited to add video trailer:

Noted documentary filmmaker Michael Moore is coming out with a new film called Where to Invade Next — and it sounds awesome. It is getting phenomenal early reviews, and Moore wants to distribute it in a very unique way:

The date for the release is only part of the story. The film will be launched in one of the most progressive and activist formats ever conceived. Early test scores of the film have it getting the highest viewer ratings of any of Moore’s previous films. “What it has shown us is the film not only plays well as just a movie, but the issues raised in the film deeply affect people,” Moore said.

So Moore asked his distributors to get on board with a release plan designed to rock the nation: “I said …. give me a month or so to barnstorm the country, me personally, in a big rock ‘n’ roll tour bus, and we will criss-cross the country showing the film for free, leading up to the New Hampshire primary — because the issues in the film are the issues, the real issues, people want being discussed in this election year.” They may also have music and rallies along the way.

The early part of the movie demonstrates how the United States hasn’t won a war since WWII, and comically envisions the U.S. taking over countries — just to take their good ideas! The next part sounds VERY Bernie-like to me:

Moore then embarks on a tour of a series of European nations and one in Africa where he finds society getting it right. From debt-free education to paid leave, women’s rights, prison reform and delicious school lunches, Moore offers viewers a world where people simply live better than we do here.

In a brilliant move, Moore has made his most patriotic film yet without shooting a single frame in the United States.

Hillary's Fundraising BUNDLER Lobbies For The Geo Group. This Is What Geo Thinks About America.

It’s no secret that the same folks who defend the private prison industry are also defending Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Richard Sullivan, of the lobbying firm Capitol Counsel, is a bundler for the Clinton campaign, bringing in $44,859 in contributions in a few short months. Sullivan is also a registered lobbyist for the Geo Group, a company that operates a number of jails, including immigrant detention centers, for profit.

https://theintercept.com/2015/07/23/private-prison-lobbyists-raising-cash-hillary-clinton/

What is the business philosophy of the Geo Group? Well, here’s what this for-profit prison corporation thinks about America — the hubris is breathtaking.

A senior executive with the second-largest for-profit prison company in America assured investment bankers last summer that despite talk of drug policy and criminal justice reform, the country will continue to “attract crime,” generating new “correctional needs.”

“The reality is, we are a very affluent country, we have loose borders, and we have a bad education system,” said Shayn March, the vice president and treasurer of the Geo Group. “And all that adds up to a significant amount of correctional needs, which, thankfully, we’ve been able to help the country out with and states with by providing a lower cost solution.”

The previously unreported remarks were made during a presentation at the Barclays High Yield Bond & Syndicated Loan conference in June.

https://theintercept.com/2015/12/22/geo-group-explains-crime/

Some in our community may be comfortable with Hillary aligning herself with individuals earning millions as lobbyists defending this kind of immoral, predatory capitalism. I, however, am not. But, sadly, because the Democratic Party seems intent to destroy the campaign of the only candidate who will seriously end private prisons — Bernie Sanders — folks like the Geo Group’s Shayn March can be the biggest assholes on the planet and know they will never, ever suffer any damage to their morally-repugnant “business.”
