" In her own variation of the 1960?s hit country song “Stand by your man,” singer and comedian Lisa Koch tells the Republican Party to keep their “hands off my clam.” The musical parody makes reference to Republican-led efforts to restrict abortion rights and their opposition to bills like the Paycheck Fairness Act.
“Hands off my clam, my uterus, and ova,” she sang in a video recently uploaded to YouTube. “Yes, we need birth control, because you won’t wrap your pickle.”
Koch also presented her own variation on “If I Only Had a Brain” from The Wizard of Oz.
“I’d defund contraception, say the hell to sex prevention, cus there’s Jesus in my heart,” she sang. “I would vote against gay marriage, and fags I would disparage, but lesbians — well, I like to watch them on porn.”

" Bill Maher has done something the media refuses to do. He actually looked at the images used in conservative media and called out their racism.
Maher was talking about Gwyneth Paltrow’s N-word tweet and said, “I would just like to say the problem with racism is not Gwyneth Paltrow. The problem with racism is Matt Drudge. I picked from Matt Drudge’s website, just over a month, we monitored this. Just as a couple, show some of the pictures that were on Matt. There, Mike Tyson looking like he’s going to eat your head. Oh yes, Louis Farrakhan, because he’s so relevant now. Oh, and Marion Barry, he’s in the news every day also. Oh yes, Reverend Wright, because he matters to your life so much. This is who appears on the Drudge Report. Oh yes, and there’s Al Sharpton telling Eric Holder what he should do. And Michael Jordan angry because that’s how we all remember him.”
Hallelujah!!!! Somebody in the mainstream finally gets it. Maher used Drudge as his example, but anyone who visits conservative websites on any given day will be given a dose of this not so subtle messaging.

John McCain has indirectly accused his fellow Republicans of using Citizens United to get foreign money into their campaign to defeat President Obama.
Just when you think John McCain has gone completely off his nut and is going to spend the rest of his golden years trapped in a vortex or warmongering and 2008 bitterness, a flash of the old McCain emerges when he talks about campaign finance. Sen. McCain long ago proved himself not to be the foreign policy expert that the media makes him out to be, but he does understand campaign finance and the destruction being wrought on our country via Citizens United.
Sen. Oscar the Grouch (McCain) was correct. The right wing ideologues on the Supreme Court seemingly didn’t give a second thought to the can of worms they were opening with the Citizens United decision. McCain had to say maybe foreign money is coming into system through super PACs because thanks the Supreme Court’s decision, we have no idea where the money is actually coming from.
Since there are no disclosure laws for super PACS, there is nothing stopping any foreign national from trying to buy an American election. We have no idea if the Iranians or the Chinese are dumping millions of dollars into our electoral process in order to influence governmental policy. The truth is that is it almost a certainty that foreign money is being spent on our elections, and almost all of that cash is being raised and spent to support Republicans and defeat President Obama.
