LOL: DNC Mole Rrrrreince Priebus TURNS UP HEAT on Romney Tax Scandal

One of the best assets the Democrats have is undercover agent Reince Priebus.

Rrrrreince Priebus a DNC Mole!....

As you know, Priebus (in reality a Democratic operative), has been posing as the Chairman of the Republican for the last two years. By infiltrating the Republicans, Priebus has time and time again aided the Democrats via internal sabotage. This morning Priebus went on ABC News' Sunday talk show and turned up the temperature on the Romney tax scandal story by calling Harry Reid a "dirty liar".

It was beautiful.

The Romney tax return issue had been simmering the past two weeks with people focused on the Olympics. But the issue was reignited this week by Harry Reid when he revealing a source inside Bain knows Romney did not pay any federal income taxes for 10 years. Now any competent professional political operative would have let the story simply fade away by not addressing it. But operating as a mole within the RNC, Priebus threw jet fuel on the fire by using scandalous, inflammatory language, forcing the mainstream media to devote further news cycles on the damaging and damning allegations of tax evasion.

And just as planned, Priebus' provocation opened the door for the MSM to ask Democrats for responses on the Romney tax scandal, and pour through the door they did.

Gov. Romney can resolve this in 10 seconds – they can release the tax returns. Why don’t they just put this to rest? What is it that he’s hiding?

David Axelrod on Fixxed News

Romney could give us the proof that he has paid taxes consistently. The fact is, Bob, Mitt Romney wants the American people to trust him with the presidency, but he won't trust us with his tax returns. All he has to do is release his tax returns. The question that I think is this: why is Mitt Romney refusing to give us his tax return?

Ted Strickland on Face The Nation

I don't know whose Harry Reid's source was, but I do know that this is a question that has swirled around Mitt Romney for this entire campaign. I do know that he could clear it up just like that, lickety-split, by releasing his tax returns, which every major candidate for president of the United States has done except for Mitt Romney. I do know that there are massive questions about why he has a Swiss bank account, why he has investments in the Cayman Islands and a Bermuda corporation that he has transferred to his wife's name one day before he became governor of Massachusetts.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz on ABC's This Week

We could put all this stuff to rest tomorrow. You know what, we wouldn't talk about this tomorrow. We wouldn't say "is he paying taxes?" "What's he paying?" The whole world would know exactly what loopholes he's taking advantage of.

Robert Gibbs on CNN

And adding a cherry on top of this ice cream sundae was Ted Strickland

I think people are coming to see Governor Romney, as a person who has been born into and lived in privilege, has made a lot of money by closing factories, and laying off workers, and taking away pensions and benefits, sending jobs overseas, wanting tax reform that will benefit himself to the detriment of the working middle class in this country.

Perfect. Well played Reince Priebus, well played.

President Obama thanks you for this special, special birthday gift. Far better than a salt shaker.

This scandal will get even further attention tomorrow as Priebus' comments are cycled through the cable shows, as they race to jump in with their opinions.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus CALLS Harry Reid a "DIRTY LIAR"

PRIEBUS: As far as Harry Reid is concerned, listen, I know you might want to go down that road, I’m not going to respond to a dirty liar, who hasn’t filed a single page of tax returns himself, complains about people with money, but lives in the Ritz-Carlton here down the street. So if that’s on the agenda, I’m not going to go there. This is just a made-up issue. The fact that we’re going to spend any time talking about it is just ridiculous.

STEPHANOPOULOS: You say you’re not gonna respond, but you just called him “a dirty liar.” You stand by that? You think Harry Reid is a “dirty liar?”

PRIEBUS: I just said it.

CBS Boston: Harry Reid GIVES MITT HELL

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) shared something interesting in an interview with the Huffington Post yesterday: an investor in Bain told Reid that W. Mitt Romney had not paid any taxes over a ten year period. But the source coming to Harry Reid for these revelations adds a level of intrigue. Reid just happens to be the highest-ranking member of the Mormon Church in the history of this nation. It is likely that Senator Reid’s source shares the Mormon religion with Reid and Romney. That message will not be lost on Romney. If the Bain fortress is not a fortress; if people are talking, Romney knows that trouble lies ahead.

And the motivation for this leak may not be political. It is likely personal and tied to the Mormon Church. Specifically, if Romney was hiding money from the IRS he may have hidden money from his church. It is expected that members of the Mormon Church tithe a minimum of ten percent of their incomes. But if Romney was not paying taxes and hiding money, then his disclosure – which itemizes deductions, including to the church – would tip off his actual income to the IRS.

Even more telling, Senator Reid specifically says that Romney’s father, George, would be ashamed of his son. It is true that Mitt’s father, who set the precedent of releasing multiple years, would be ashamed of the son’s lack of disclosure. Another reason for such a strong statement from Reid is that Mitt’s father would be ashamed for religious reasons. This is something I have speculated about in this space in the past: a large part of Romney’s reluctance to release his records may be based on his relationship with his Mormon Church. Some have speculated that Romney’s donations to the church might be a problem with the American public. Perhaps it is Romney’s shortchanging of his church that is Mr. Romney’s concern.

Perhaps there is a major story in the works on Romney’s IRS audits. The revelation from Romney could be an attempt to “prebut” the story before it comes out, or soften the blow. Team Romney has used this tactic in the past. It was only after the Washington Post ran its story on Romney’s history of bullying that it became clear that Ann Romney’s out of nowhere statement that Mitt was a “prankster” was an attempt to soften the blow of that story. If reporters are working on stories about Romney being audited then he knows it and his staff knows it.

CNN's DANA BASH ' Source ' Transcript AC360 August 8 2012

DANA BASH, CNN SENIOR CONGRESSIONAL CORRESPONDENT: That's right. We now have a couple of responses, Anderson. Let me read you the first one, that is, "Senator Reid stands by his comments. Governor Romney's continued refusal to release his tax returns raises legitimate questions about what he is hiding and whether he paid any taxes at all. Governor Romney can easily end this debate by following the precedent set by his father and releasing his tax returns."

And as you were coming on the air, Anderson, I got a follow-up like the statement, which also stands by what they call his credible source that Romney has not paid taxes for 10 years, and he's calling Romney playing tricks, many tricks at his disposal for avoiding taxes. So not backing down at all.

I got to tell you, covering Harry Reid for a lot of years, there are times when he says things off the cuff that make his aides wince, like talking smelly tourists in the capitol. I'm not making this up. This is not one of those times.

This is one of those times where he knows exactly what he's doing. He's doing it on purpose. He's doing it for political reasons because he wants this issue, Romney's taxes, to be talked about on programs like yours, and wants it to be headlines in newspapers, and wants Mitt Romney to respond on this issue, which they think is a negative for Romney as opposed to issues that Romney wants to talk about.

COOPER: And I go back and forth, I'm with Paul Begala in a moment, who just tweeted out saying it's -- I cannot, that it's unfair for me to compare what Reid is saying to what Bachmann did to Huma Abedin. But I'm not even arguing about the tax return issue here. To me, it's just a question of making allegation like this for -- you know, a powerful senator making allegations like this without any evidence.

That's what I am trying to focus on. We'll talk to Begala and Mary Matalin about it in a second. But in that interview that Reid gave to "Huffington Post," he says about Romney, quote, "his poor father must be so embarrassed for his son," what does that tell you? I mean that's a very personal comment.

BASH: It's very personal and it is very Harry Reid. Look, first of all, let me just back up and say you pointed out the interview he gave with the "Huffington Post." Again evidence, it's a friendly outlet. They did it -- he did this very strategically.

In terms of the personal, that is Harry Reid. I mean he -- when he wanted to go after Alan Greenspan, he called him the partisan hack. When he went after President Bush, he called him a liar and a loser. He apologized for the loser part, not for liar.

But this is -- when Harry Reid doesn't like somebody, he goes for the jugular. And that is what he is doing now. He is an old boxer and he still likes to be a political street fighter. He knew full well that he was going to be questioned over and over again on who his source was. And he said -- he's told people close to him who I have spoken today that he didn't care. He's not telling going to tell who his source is.

But I did speak, I just have to tell you, that I did speak to one source who's very close to Senator Reid who claims to also know who this Bain investor is that Reid spoke with, and insists that this is a credible person and this person if we knew the name we would understand that they would have the authority and the ability to know about Romney's tax returns. Whether we'll find it out ever, who knows. But they're doing this on purpose so that this is the discussion.

COOPER: Dana Bash, appreciate the reporting. Dana, thanks.

WHOO-HOO: Tea Party WANTS Romney FURTHER To The RIGHT

MORE TO THE RIGHT MITTWITT, MORE TO THE RIGHT!!....

The Tea Party, recently considered a joke in political and social circles, is fresh off the Texas win of Ted Cruz and feeling cocky. In fact, Tea Party conservatives are already saying Romney needs to move more to the right–despite Obama’s lead in the polls that is mostly due to independents and other moderate voters.

In fact, a spokeswoman (Andrea Shell) for a Tea Party affiliate, Freedom Works, said the following according to a Yahoo News article: ”If we can elect a really conservative House and Senate that will force Romney to go along with our bold conservative agenda,” Shell said. “He’s going to have to really, really go to the right. He’ll be working with guys in the House and Senate. He won’t be able to get away with too many middle of the road policies, especially on things like the deficit.”

That’s just silly, considering the tax policy Romney already wants to put in place. However, the likeliness of the Senate, House, and Oval Office all being filled with conservatives is relatively low, and Shell’s fantasy government is probably just a pipe dream. A researcher at the conservative think tank AEI (American Enterprise Institute For Public Policy Research) said the following to ABC News, “It’s not going to be a Romney driven presidency. It’s going to be a Congressional, conservative, Republican driven presidency from Congress.”

While I agree that anything Congressional is likely from Congress, I somehow doubt his assertion about the Presidency. I also doubt the American people as a whole would support any serious presidential candidate with Tea Party ties.

Frank Gaffney Plotting To TAKE DOWN GROVER NORQUIST With Muslim Brotherhood ACCUSATIONS

"..WASHINGTON -- If Frank Gaffney gets his way, Grover Norquist won't be at a high-profile conservative gathering known as the Conservative Political Action Conference in October. Not only that, but the anti-tax crusader and his allies will be totally discredited and branded as supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood.

- But long before he was going after top State Department official Huma Abedin, Gaffney was targeting two men connected with CPAC: Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform, and Suhail Khan, a former official in the administration of President George W. Bush. Both are board members of the American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC. "Grover Norquist is credentialing the perpetrators of this Muslim Brotherhood influence operation. ... We are in a war, and he has been working with the enemy for over a decade," said Gaffney in a January 2011 WorldNetDaily op-ed.

Cleta Mitchell, a prominent conservative attorney who also serves on the ACU board, thoroughly investigated Gaffney's claims against Norquist and Khan and found them to be completely baseless. The rest of the conservative board unanimously stood with Mitchell, and Gaffney was essentially shut out of the conference.

He was not allowed to speak at the gathering, despite having done so for the past 15 years.

Gaffney is now out to redeem himself -- and to take down Mitchell, Norquist and Khan in the process. The Huffington Post obtained an email sent by Gaffney on July 6 to fellow conservatives, outlining his strategy for raising a ruckus about the Muslim Brotherhood issue in advance of October's regional CPAC in Denver:

Dear Colleague:

As we will discuss on today's Victory Coalition call, an opportunity has arisen to begin to push back on the insidious Muslim Brotherhood influence operation mounted by Grover Norquist and his Brotherhood-affiliated protégé, Suhail Khan. It comes in the form of the upcoming October 4 Conservative Political Action Conference in Denver. I believe that, by using this event as leverage, we have a shot at raising enough hell in Colorado and elsewhere about Norquist and Khan that we can force the ACU Board, at a minimum, to rescind the resolution it adopted last September condemning me and a endorsing them. If we create enough of a stir, it might even be possible to induce the Board to force their resignations and that of the third Board member who enabled that resolution, Cleta Mitchell, from the ACU leadership.

To that end, I am forwarding for your consideration a letter that might usefully be sent, individually or collectively, to the ACU's President, Al Cardenas -- who I have reason to believe would be personally sympathetic to such a campaign.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts about this initiative on the call today.

All the best, F

Regarding Norquist, for example, Mitchell wrote, "With respect to Mr. Gaffney's allegations against Grover, those are purely and simply character assassination. ... And I'm certain that Mr. Gaffney's hatred is further fueled by the fact that Grover is married to a Muslim-American woman (who also has worked for the United States government in very responsible positions, I might add!)." Furthermore, Mitchell said she has personally tried to persuade Gaffney to stop his baseless allegations. "I have tried to talk Mr.Gaffney into ceasing these attacks -- but to no avail," she wrote. "I have done everything I know to do to try and bring this to a halt, including private conversations and public appearances saying essentially what I have said in this letter. I have taken whatever official actions in my capacity as a board member of various organizations to vote against any motion that would support Mr. Gaffney's allegations and will continue to do so."

Justice Scalia: NO Such Thing As RIGHTS To Privacy And WOMEN'S RIGHT To CONTRACEPTION

&feature=player_embedded

Wallace noted Scalia feels the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision—that says women have a constitutional right to abortion—is a lie, and asked why he will continue to try to overturn Roe.

Scalia told Wallace “…Nobody ever thought that the American people voted to prohibit limitations on abortions…there’s nothing in the Constitution that says that.”

Wallace: “What about the right to privacy that the court found in 1965?”

Scalia: “There’s no right to privacy in the Constitution — no generalized right to privacy,”

Wallace: “Well, in the Griswold case, the court said there was.”

Scalia: “Indeed it did, and that was wrong.” The Constitution “…simply doesn’t cover that…which means it’s left to — it’s left to democratic choice as most things are, even important things like abortion.”

CBS reported in 2009, in a debate with American Civil Liberties Union president Nadine Strossen, Scalia said unelected judges have no place deciding politically charged questions when the Constitution is silent on those issues. Arguing that liberal judges in the past improperly established new political rights such as abortion. “Someday, you’re going to get a very conservative Supreme Court and regret that approach.”

That “someday” may be rapidly approaching. If Romney is elected, there is a very good chance another Supreme Court Judge will be elected in the 2013-2017 term. Romney WILL pick another conservative.

Both liberal and conservative women have been taking birth control for decades and enjoyed the right to do so. If the GOP keeps a majority in the House and gains a majority in the Senate—whether or not Romney takes over The White House—women on both sides of the aisle will lose. These conservative judges will be more than happy to dictate reproductive rights. They’ll have the majority. The will exert their power and America will deteriorate into a third-world country.

How far off can burqas be? It’s YOUR choice. YOUR VOTE COUNTS
