Exclusive: SECURITY Heightened at Nebraska GOP Convention In Anticipation Of Ron Paul INSURGENCY

" Security at the state Republican convention has been tightened this summer in case turmoil breaks out as it did in other states where Ron Paul and Mitt Romney supporters clashed over control. Even though the state Republican chairman Mark Fahleson decided this week to stay in his position to prevent a Paul supporter from winning his seat, there’s still potential for fireworks at the state convention on July 14 in Grand Island.

The executive director of the state Republican Party, Jordan McGrain, told Nebraska Watchdog in addition to its usual sergeant at arms committee, the party hired additional security for the first time in convention history, to his knowledge. Party officials are preparing for potential for trouble caused by Paul supporters. The libertarian Texas Congressman quit campaigning for president in May, but his supporters have circumvented primaries and caucuses by winning delegates at conventions in Iowa, Nevada, Minnesota and Louisiana with an eye toward sending as many as possible to the national convention in Tampa.

In Louisiana, Paul garnered about half the state’s delegates and chaos broke out, with several delegates arrested and the convention chairman reportedly getting thrown to the ground by police. McGrain said Nebraska Republicans are preparing for the potential for “some pretty rowdy guests” at the convention – noting that other states experienced “all-out anarchy” at their conventions because they weren’t ready for a ruckus. “We’re just not going to tolerate any disruptions,” McGrain said. “This is not going to be a free-for-all.” In Nebraska, about half the delegates went to Paul supporters in Douglas and Sarpy counties, with Paul supporters claiming rules were violated in Dodge County and retreating to a rump convention in Fremont. Then the Paul-Tea Party movement appeared poised to get their candidate elected chairman of the party – over the wishes of Gov. Dave Heineman – until chairman Fahleson pre-empted that fight this week by announcing plans to stay in his position until his term ends next year.

And so ends the battle for the chairmanship, but the battle for delegates continues. It would be an embarrassment for Heineman – the first governor to endorse Romney – to have his state’s delegates vote for Paul at the national convention. Heineman has been mentioned as a contender for a Romney cabinet post. McGrain said Romney and Paul supporters have been “burning up the phone lines” – making calls to delegates to ascertain who they’re committed to before the state convention. He accused Paul supporters of claiming to be from the state GOP or refusing to say who they are. A leader of the Paul movement said those calls are being made by the Paul campaign. McGrain said Paul’s supporters are trying to “take by party rules what they couldn’t on election day.” He has been warned by Republican officials in Nevada and Louisiana to be prepared for “Paulistas” to try to seize control of the convention through endless votes, amendments, re-votes and parliamentary delays aimed at wearing out establishment Republicans. That’s why McGrain intends to make sure the agenda is “tight” and ballots counted in an orderly and efficient way, with rented ballot-counting machines. He said the battle for delegates has become a “political sideshow that’s not helpful.”

Is Mormon Underwear MAGIC?

To outsiders, there is little more fascinating about the Mormon religion than the secret underwear

"....It only makes sense that some subset of us would find the idea of Mormon undies titillating. They are novel, they are secret, they are taboo, and they are in constant contact with genitalia.

But are they kinky to insiders?

It’s hard to get a balanced sample from active Mormons, because the Garments, as I said, are sacred, and catering to the curiosity of prurient outsiders would violate a covenant sworn during the same temple ceremony in which a Mormon gets authorized to wear the Garment. Unfortunately those who have been fantasizing about a romp in which layers of white cotton create the perfect sense of mystery (or bondage), ex-Mormons offer few words of encouragement. Discomfort seems to be the predominant theme.

I was continuously battling wedgies — often in public; how the people would stare as I would try to wrestle crumpled material out of my crack. (Lady DB)

If you have ever worn the modern ones, you should appreciate the distance these have come. When I first got married they came in a one-piece get-up with a wide neck so you could step into them. The back had a split crotch (not the kind in kinky panties), but this huge, wide, sloppy split would separate under your clothes, leaving a draft in your nether region much of the time. The little panel they sew into the ladies’ special part was so poorly designed that it would roll and twist till you felt like you were skewered by a roll of old toilet paper. (Insanad)

Of all of the things about Mo-dom, the thing I miss the least is the underwear. (Zapotec)

Theologically, Mormon undergarments are said to be symbols of a covenant between God and the believer. Initiates pantomime their own death should they violate this sacred trust. The underwear have sacred symbols drawn from the Masonic Order into which Joseph Smith was initiated shortly before he proclaimed God’s desire that people wear the Garment. True-believing Mormons avoid allowing their Garments to touch the ground. They may cut off and burn the symbols when a Garment itself is worn out.

I thought the kitchen was on fire a few times until I found my mom burning the “sacred symbols” in tin cans before she cut the underwear into dust cloths. I was slapped a time or two for letting them fall or drag on the floor when I did laundry as a child. (Cheryl)

LOL- Reagan-Appointed JUDGE: Republican ‘CRACKPOTS & LUNATICS' Made Me LESS Conservative

" A well-respected judge who was appointed to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals by President Ronald Reagan says that he has become less conservative because of “crackpots” and “lunatics” in the Republican Party.

In an interview with NPR on Thursday Judge Richard Posner said that “right-wingers” were making a serious mistake by attacking Chief Justice John Roberts for siding with liberals and upholding President Barack Obama’s health care reform law.

“Because if you put [yourself] in his position, what’s he supposed to think?” Posner wondered. “That he finds his allies to be a bunch of crackpots? Does that help the conservative movement? I mean, what would you do if you were Roberts? All the sudden you find out that the people you thought were your friends have turned against you, they despise you, they mistreat you, they leak to the press.”

“What do you do? Do you become more conservative? Or do you say, ‘What am I doing with this crowd of lunatics?’ Right? Maybe you have to re-examine your position.”

He added: “I’ve become less conservative since the Republican Party started becoming goofy.”

Barack Obama GIVES Mitt Romney a LESSON In Being A HUMAN BEING

School was in session today as President Obama gave Mitt Romney a lesson in the political importance of being a human being......

Video courtesy of C-SPAN:

http://www.c-span.org/Events/President-Obama-Campaigns-Through-Ohio-and-Pennsylvania/10737432092/

THE PRESIDENT: What I think about is my first race. And this was when I was first running for state senate — I couldn’t afford television commercials. And Michelle and I, we used to go door to door and pass out flyers that we had printed out at Kinko’s. And we had our friends and our family members, and we’d march in Fourth of July parades. And it was hard work. And I didn’t have Air Force One back then. (Laughter.)

But when I think about my first race, I think about why I got into politics. And the reason I got into politics was because this country has blessed me so much. And I thought about my own family — how my grandfather fought in Patton’s army in World War II, while my grandmother was back home working on a bomber assembly line. And when my grandfather came back, he was able to go to college on the GI Bill, and they were able to buy a home through the FHA.

And then I thought about my single mom — because my dad left when I was very young — and how, despite all the struggles, she was able to get a great education because that’s the kind of country this was. And she was able to pass on a great education to me and my sister. (Applause.)

And then I think about Michelle’s mom, and the fact that Michelle’s mom and dad, they didn’t come from a wealthy family. Michelle’s dad, he worked a blue-collar job at the sanitary plant in Chicago. And my mother-in-law, she stayed at home until the kids got older. And she ended up becoming a secretary, and that’s where she worked at most of her life, was a secretary at a bank.

So none of us came from privileged backgrounds, none of us had a lot of wealth or fame. But what we understood was that here in America, no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter what church you worship at, no matter what region of the country — if you were willing to work hard, if you were willing to take responsibility for your life, you could make it if you try here in the United States of America. (Applause.)

And that basic idea, that basic bargain that says here we all deserve a fair shot, and everybody should do their fair share and everybody should play by the same set of rules — that basic bargain that says, if you’re willing to work hard and take responsibility in your own life, then you can find a job that pays a living wage and you can save up and buy a home and you won’t go bankrupt if you get sick. Maybe you can take a vacation with your family once in a while — nothing fancy, but you can go out and go visit some of our national parks.

President Obama make the crowd forget about the scorching Steel City heat by doing something that Mitt Romney can’t. The president connected with them as a fellow human being. The contrast was striking as voters never hear Romney talk about his own background like Obama did, because he can’t.

It is impossible for Mitt Romney to connect with regular people due to the fact that he has never been a regular person. Romney has no idea what it is like to grow up middle class or lower. He has no clue what the American people are going through right now, which is why when his statement today about the new jobs numbers being a kick in the gut to the middle class was particularly laughable.

BWHAHAHAHAHA - POS Joe Walsh LOSES IT On CNN

PART 2

&feature=relmfu

" Things got intense on Thursday afternoon when Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) appeared on CNN and was pressed on recent remarks he made suggesting his Democratic opponent Tammy Duckworth, a double-amputee veteran who served in Iraq, isn't a "true hero."

When asked by network anchor Ashleigh Banfield if he would characterize his choice of words as a "slip up," the Tea Party-backed congressman said, "No, Ashleigh, this wasn't a slip-up. I don't regret anything I said. Understand me. Every man and woman who's worn the uniform is a hero in my book." He added, "I've said that thousands of times. I've called Tammy Duckworth a hero hundreds of times."

The exchange took a rocky turn when Banfield challenged Walsh on the root of the controversy, which the Republican congressman argued was "manufactured" by Duckworth's campaign. "Ashleigh, Ashleigh, Ashleigh," Walsh said in attempt to hold his ground during the segment. Over the course of the interview, the GOP lawmaker tried to regain control of his line of messaging by saying Banfield's name more than 90 times.

Amid the back and forth, Banfield called Walsh an "opponent" and a "worthy adversary." One day earlier on "The Situation Room," Walsh sought to do damage control on the heels of sparking backlash with his initial remarks. "She is a hero and that demands our respect, but it doesn't demand our vote," he said of Duckworth. Walsh went on to suggest, however, that "all she does" is "talk about her service." "Voters in this district want to have an inkling of where she stands on the issues and she never ever gets directly in front of people," he asserted. "I salute her service, but my god, the voters want to know if she has any thought on the issues." Duckworth regarded Walsh's remarks about her military service as "irresponsible" during an appearance on MSNBC earlier this week.

Axelrod HITS Romney For 'BERMUDA TAX SHELTER'

" Senior Obama strategist David Axelrod offered something of a fireworks display Wednesday on Twitter, launching a barrage of messages meant to draw attention to two reports that highlight Mitt Romney's stake in a Bermuda company that has never been listed on his state or federal financial reports.

@DavidAxelrod: Astonishing story about Mitt's Bermuda tax shelter and his efforts to keep it secret, apparently skirting MA law. 1/4

@DavidAxelrod: A Swiss bank account. A dozen funds in the Cayman Islands. And now, a Bermuda tax shelter he failed to report. 2/4

@DavidAxelrod: How many of these revelations will it take for the media to demand a full accounting of Mitt's tax returns and finances? 3/4

@DavidAxelrod: Or will his campaign continue to stonewall and keep him secure within the MPP-the Mittness Protection Program? 4/4

The company in question - Sankaty High Yield Asset Investors Ltd. - is described by government financial documents as "a Bermuda corporation wholly owned by W. Mitt Romney." Yet, as both Vanity Fair and the Associated Press note in new reports, it has never appeared on the candidate's financial disclosure forms. Limited details on its existence only recently came to light when Romney released his 2010 tax return under public pressure.

"Even after examining that return, we have no idea what is in this company, but it could be valuable, meaning that it is possible Romney's wealth is even greater than previous estimates," writes Nicholas Shaxson in Vanity Fair. "While the Romneys' spokespeople insist that the couple has paid all the taxes required by law, investments in tax havens such as Bermuda raise many questions, because they are in 'jurisdictions where there is virtually no tax and virtually no compliance,' as one Miami-based offshore lawyer put it."

Mitt Romney Is HANK KIMBALL

Contradicting his own top campaign adviser, Mitt Romney on Wednesday declared that the individual mandate contained in President Barack Obama's health care law is, indeed, a tax and not a penalty against those who refuse to buy coverage

"I said that I agree with the Supreme Court's dissent, and the dissent made it very clear that they felt [the individual mandate] was unconstitutional.....

Its a Tax,...err or was that a Penalty before it was a Tax or was that the other way around? Hmm, what was the other way around,....oh yea, the taxes. Which sounds better, its a Tax or Penalty? Which one makes me look better? Its a tax, but could be a Penalty...depends on who is asking the question..
Its a Tax for Obama and a Penalty for me when I was Governor of Massachusetts,...Was I the Governor of Massachusetts? Its a Tax and a Penalty all rolled up in one,...well not all rolled up,...
what was rolled up?....oh yea, the taxes,....or was that the penalty?....It gets confusing but I stand by my position (whatever that was) as long as its opposite to Obama's position,...what is Obama's position? Was his a Tax or Penalty?

JUDGE Wants Answers About Rupert Murdoch’s REACTION To Obama CHIMPANZEE Cartoon

" A federal judge has ordered the New York Post’s top editor to answer questions about how his boss, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, reacted to a cartoon that depicted President Obama as a dead chimpanzee. The order came last week in a lawsuit filed by former Post employee Sandra Guzman, who accused the newspaper and editor Col Allan of racial discrimination and harassment. It was first reported late Tuesday by Reuters. In February, the order said, Allan refused during a sworn deposition to answer questions about what he and Murdoch, whose News Corporation owns the Post, talked about when the cartoon was published in 2009. Allan claimed he was protected under “editorial privilege.”

But federal Magistrate Judge Ronald Ellis ruled the protection didn’t apply because nothing Allan and Murdoch talked about was related to a secret source or the newsgathering process. The Post eventually apologized for publishing a cartoon that had clearly racist imagery. It depicted a police officer shooting a chimpanzee to death and another officer saying, “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.” It was published just a day after President Obama signed an economic stimulus package into law.

Guzman’s lawyers wanted to know what Allan said to Murdoch in a series of phone calls after the cartoon ran, including whether the editor told the executive that it was a mistake to apologize. Murdoch, however, will not have to answer questions about the cartoon. The same judge ordered on Friday that the media mogul had too little involvement in the publication of the cartoon or the alleged discrimination to be forced to submit to a deposition.
