whathehell's JournalSaid goodbye to my little cat,.Catsby today..
As of a month ago, he was his sweet old self..Then he stopped eating & started losing weight..Our vet gave him a CT scan revealing cancer that started in his intestines and spread quickly over his body..The prospects were very poor,, especially since he was up in age...We held out to the last minute with palliative care, making sure he was in no discernible pain, but to no avail. The day finally came where we had to put him to sleep, and it's so very sad.

I'm lamenting the fact that you're begrudging them their earnings..
Lawyering isn't a 9 to 5 job..They undergo 4 years of expensive, rigorous training and generally work LONG hours. They also do more free or " pro bono," work than any of the other professions.
Anyone know anything about Chronic Myeloid Leukemia?
My niece, age 53 was recently diagnosed with it, and my family and I could really use some information.

Anyone else feeling newly stressed in social situations, Post Quarantine?
I was really looking forward to a planned, week long visit with some out of state family, but now that I'm with them, feeling strained and exhausted... The people are fine, but coming out of 14 months of virtually NO in-person contact with anyone but my husband, I'm feeling somewhat "overwhelmed", wishing I could just go home to my spouse, my dog and my creature comforts.
Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
FWIW, I'm normally an outgoing, social person, but these everyday,
planned social interactions feel kind of "intense" and stressful. :
