I want to thank each and everyone of you who have helped me

sent me kind thoughts and inboxed your concerns. To the tea party assholes that are saying those ugly things about me you are only making me stronger and more determined to elect as many democrats as will allow me to help them. You are what is wrong with this country. Much love to my fellow DU'ers the most awesome people on the web.

I am truly a dyed in the wool member of the democratic party

I am a LIBERAL through and through and any democratic member who voted to cut snap should be ashamed to call themselves members of this party

Does anybody know anybody

In Southeast Ohio willing to run against unopposed Republicans? I can't I don't have any money

my husband has had enough he's leaving me

I just lost my parents this year one My Dad March 13 My Mom July 13 I can't take anymore If it wasn't for the kids I would be able tog o on

I have been helping with Democratic Campaigns since 76

My parents practically lived in Democratic HQ's during the 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86 elections. Then they moved and Democratic HQ's was so messed up because they didn't think Dukakis had a chance I argued that we still needed to send Democrats to the Statehouse and to the US Congress House and Senate, as well as local elected positions. I was 19 in 88 and I have continued to see it since then here in Ohio and in South Carolina where I spent 17 of the last 19 years I lived in Joe Wilson's district. The problem is Democrats in both of those places feel demoralized and demonized. We have to try harder and do it nationwide to get democrats elected. We need real grassroots going door to door, making phone calls, doing lit drops even if it is in a republican district. I know we can do it if we try hard enough. I watched my parents do it and since I lost them both this year. I will honor their legacy by doing whatever I can to elect more Democrats to every level of Government. They went door to door making lit drops and talking to folks, they made phone calls they answered phones at HQ's and passed out literature to people who came in. I don't see that anymore we need to get back to it as a party so we can rid ourselves of the radicals most Americans don't like them and would vote for sane individuals given the choice Where these clowns are unopposed we need to get democrats to run against them.

Just had the most insane argument with a lady I have known for 32 years

Mind you this lady lives on food stamps, medicaid, and SSI I asked what she thought of the shutdown She of course is for it and thinks these people are moral Christians. I pointed out that her whole means of survival IS the Government. She said God not the Government takes care of her. I might add 4 of her 5 kids also live on SSI and Food Stamps as well. The one who doesn't is the Democrat who strongly believes her mother has been brainwashed by her fundamentalist church, and in turn has brainwashed her siblings. The Tea Party creeps prey on people like my friend and twist their thinking so much. I hate what they have done to the most vulnerable people, they scare them into voting against their own best interest. I just don't understand it.

Just Received My SSDI Denial Letter

I can't take much more. What options do I have? I have 4 kids. I just lost both of my parents this year. I am so depressed I feel like my life is on a fast train to hell.

we are in trouble

A friend of mine just told me that American Civics books were written by liberals and they misconstrue the rule of law. My head hurts. I wonder how widespread this dangerous ignorance is? This is the logic we are dealing with. This scares me.

So many people fail to understand this is a threat to Democracy

If the President compromises now. Majority. rule is finished and we will be lead by extremists. Maybe it's time to take to the streets and explain it to others how dire this is.
