Today is an appropriate anniversary of a 220 year old event:

Marie-Antoinette was guillotined on this day in 1793.

Making monsters

People never learn that when you make a monster, there is no guarantee that you can always control it.

Nobody learned from reading Frankenstein or making nuclear bombs. I know there are many more examples starting from the beginning of time.

Do you know who Carol McCrory,Brenda Clark,& Drew Reisinger are? You should. They live in NC.

After the Associated Press reported earlier today he would defy North Carolina's gay marriage ban and begin accepting applications for same-sex unions, Buncombe County Register of Deeds Drew Reisinger has made good on his promise.

Carol McCrory and Brenda Clark, a lesbian couple who have been together for 25 years and raised two children, became the first couple to have their marriage application accepted by Resigner earlier today. Additionally, the move brands McCrory and Clark as the first same-sex couple to have their marriage application accepted in the South. However, this does not mean that the pair has been issued a marriage license.

"Drew, we want to thank you for your courage and standing up and doing the right thing," the couple told Reisinger in the above video. "One of the reasons that we're here is to be a visible face for this movement -- to show the people of North Carolina that we're not very scary. We have confidence that, as Christians and as Americans, eventually everybody will do the right thing... We want the same validity for our family that we have together that other people enjoy -- that's all we want."

In order for Reisinger to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples submitting applications, he must seek legal counsel from State Attorney General Roy Cooper. On Monday, Cooper announced his support for marriage equality -- but remained mum on whether or not he would continue to defend North Carolina's ban on same-sex marriage.

According to the Associated Press, however, Cooper's spokeswoman Noelle Talley claimed that "these marriage licenses cannot be issued." If McCrory and Clark's marriage license is not approved in their home state, the couple has plans to marry in New York on Nov. 9.

Good on all of them.
Balls to the wall Mr.Reisinger!
NC will not stay covered with the hateful RW sludge poured over the whole state.
This may not count in one way. However, it counts in so many more. It counts in courage, equality, decency and hope.

BREAKING: MISSOURI LT. GOV. PETER KINDER CALLS FOR GRAND JURY IN DAISY COLEMAN CASE
Posted on October 15, 2013 by Duane Lester

Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder
Just received this via email from the office of Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder:
Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder today released the following statement urging Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster and the Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice revisit a controversial alleged rape case in Nodaway County.

“Since Sunday I have read with growing dismay the media accounts of the Daisy Coleman case in Nodaway County. I make no claim to knowledge of all the facts. Still, facts revealed in exhaustive media reports, including the 4,000-word piece in the Kansas City Star, raise all kinds of questions that it is now clear won’t be put to rest. These questions will fester and taint the reputation of our state for delivering impartial justice to all.

“I am disappointed that the Attorney General would wash his hands of the matter through a brief statement by a spokesman. The appalling facts in the public record shock the conscience and cry out that responsible authorities must take another look. I call on Attorney General Koster and Prosecutor Rice to join me in asking that the Circuit Court convene a grand jury to review all the evidence, hear all witnesses, and issue a decision as to whether charges should ensue.

“I hope that responsible officials will join me in this call for a grand jury to make the final call on whether criminal charges should or should not be filed.”

The state statute reference by Jones says:

The attorney general shall institute, in the name and on the behalf of the state, all civil suits and other proceedings at law or in equity requisite or necessary to protect the rights and interests of the state, and enforce any and all rights, interests or claims against any and all persons, firms or corporations in whatever court or jurisdiction such action may be necessary; and he may also appear and interplead, answer or defend, in any proceeding or tribunal in which the state’s interests are involved.

Well that didn't take long.
Now let's see what those jackasses do!

WOW! Anonymous just released a STATEMENT about Marysville:

Greetings, World.

We are #OpMaryville.

Two young girls have been raped in the town of Maryville, Missouri. Another high school football star, the grandson of a Missouri state official, has walked free. The people of Maryville turned their backs on these victims and one family has been forced to flee the town. After they left, their house was burned to the ground.

On January 8th, a 14-year-old girl named Daisy and her 13-year-old friend were both raped in Maryville. Evidence of this assault was captured on film. Daisy’s unconscious body was later dumped into her family’s yard, left alone for hours in freezing weather. One of Daisy’s attackers was initially in police custody, where he admitted to having sex with her while she was under the influence.

He claimed it was consensual. The hospital states the young girl’s blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit and they discovered three tears inside of her body, 2-4 inches in length.

This suspect rapist is Matthew Barnett, a student at the University of Central Missouri. He’s the grandson of Missouri state Representative, Rex Barnett.

We demand an immediate investigation into the handling by local authorities of Daisy’s case. Why were the suspects initially arrested and then released? How was video and medical evidence not enough to put one of these football players inside a court room? What is the connection of these prosecutors, if any, to Rep. Rex Barnett? Most of all, We are wondering, how do the residents of Maryville sleep at night?

We have heard Daisy’s story far too often. We heard it from Steubenville, Halifax and Uttar Pradesh. In some cases, action meant nothing because it couldn’t bring them back. Both Amanda Todd and Rehtaeh Parsons, girls not much older than Daisy, took their own lives after the adults, the police and the school system, failed to protect them. If Maryville won’t defend these young girls, if the police are to cowardly or corrupt to do their jobs, if justice system has abandoned them, then someone else will have to stand for them. Mayor Jim Fall, your hands are dirty. Maryville, expect us.

Okay. I am now 'childsitting' for my next door neighbors' kid.

I know them in passing, but that's about all.
She is the 6th grade and her sister didn't arrive from middle school on time. She rides a bus too.
Her father isn't home either.

She came to my door and she was crying. I talked to her a little and asked if she needed water or anything. She doesn't know anybody to call or doesn't know their number.

I let her have at it on the computer and she is playing games. I hope somebody comes soon.

3:30-Her daddy just came home.

I guess I don't look like the devil incarnate.

Good! It's on!
I can't think of a group of miscreants and enablers who deserves it more.
They will wish they prosecuted this.

About the South Seceding....

If that should ever occur, it would not be some neat division of the country into a united South against everybody. There were many pockets of resistance to secession in the Civil War. Northern Alabama was one of those areas.

However, times and demographics have changed. If you check the presidential election returns, there was a fairly sizable group that voted for president Obama. This faction has not been able to counter the Teashites down here. Thank you gerrymandering among other factors.

People are no more going to bow down and follow a bunch of jackasses who will insist that everybody has to follow their way. There are many groups they would have to watch out for.

There are those who were never very happy with the Federal government telling them what to do. They will not be any happier with those morans telling them anything either. This will especially be true when they flood areas with their religious zealots.

My brother lives in one such area. There will be those who would join the Teaspitters. There would be just as many who would fight them tooth and nail if they began to interfere. Both groups will be well armed. It would be a bloody internecine fracas.

There are minorities who would not be thrilled either. They will not take this lying down. They are also madder than hell at the twits who have tried to re-enslave them in many ways.

Many people would find ways to obstruct those mooks. They would be more than happy to sabotage anything they can and spy on those jacklegs. I can pass if I have to.

I have never in my life thought about taking up arms against anybody. However, if the Nutjobs somehow do try to form their own governments, I will give them as much hell as I possibly can in any way that I can.

I am so fucking tired of these tin-hatted, peabrained, MyWay, infantile haters that I can't see straight. They can all go to hell sliding on the edge of a razor blade. I have dealt with these moronic Fauxtians all my life and I would rather eat grits with milk than listen to one more message from their alternate universe.

Bless their hearts!

Nightmare in Maryville: Teens’ sexual encounter ignites a firestorm against family

There wasn’t much left by the time she arrived, just a burnt-out structure and the haze of smoke that lingered around it.

The siding and gutters had melted. The roof was gone. Inside, piles of ash filled the rooms that had once bustled with the pleasant sounds of a family.

That morning last April when Melinda Coleman received word that emergency vehicles were gathering around her Maryville house, she had hoped for the best.

But if the events of the past year and a half had taught her anything, it was that when the town of Maryville was involved, that seemed unlikely.

Since the morning her daughter had been left nearly unconscious in the frost of the home’s front lawn, this northwest Missouri community had come to mean little besides heartache.

Few dispute the basic facts of what happened in the early morning hours of Jan. 8, 2012: A high school senior had sex with Coleman’s 14-year-old daughter, another boy did the same with her daughter’s 13-year-old friend, and a third student video-recorded one of the bedding scenes. Interviews and evidence initially supported the felony and misdemeanor charges that followed.

Yet, two months later, the Nodaway County prosecutor dropped the felony cases against the youths, one the grandson of a longtime area political figure.
