US diplomats were also injured in sonic attacks in Cuba

American diplomats in Cuba have been diagnosed with mild traumatic brain injury — and central nervous damage — after an apparent attack with a sonic weapon targeted their homes, per a review of medical records by CBS News.

The State Department hasn't explicitly identified the source of the attack or what person or entity might have carried it out. The Cuban government has denied any involvement with the incident.

Why it matters: The severity of the apparent injuries goes far beyond what was originally reported, so it stands to reason that President Trump's administration might choose to respond strongly given his prior rhetoric on Cuba, especially given that the report notes that the attacks on Americans are continuing.

I helped a baby Carolina Wren.

I kept hearing a bird chirping. I decided to see what was up. I looked up the stairs and there were silhouettes of 2 birds. One flew away. I walked up the stairs to see what was up with the other one.

Poor thing. She was trying so hard to fly but she couldn't get any altitude. She had a full set of feathers. I caught her and I didn't see any injury so I put her on the ledge and off she went. I went downstairs to make sure she was ok.

She was scooting along the ground with some flying. I saw where the other bird went so I herded her in that direction. She went under some tree branches where the other bird had gone. At least they were low enough for her to perch on.

Hopefully, Mama will be there and she can relax. Poor baby.
