Compassion traded for bars of gold
Greed for the tallest tower
Drunk on their lust for power
For coins their souls were sold
Her wings trembled with anger and ire
She confronted the kings of the empire
The men would not yield
Every one of them she killed
Their palaces destroyed by fire

The mystery of perception is subjective
What one mind conceives
Another mind disbelieves
Conflicting worlds with a different objective
Individual fates intersect and intertwine
Creating infinite conclusions
And endless illusions
Confusion, the infection of all sentient minds
Souls hold the essence of all truth and intent
Minds explore the unknown
Cynical of all that is shown
The soul is eternal; the mind forever discontent
