Kicking

I get the same feeling. Seeing them drag Kellyanne Conway out of her crypt and hearing her comments, seeing the ridiculous froth they are attempting to throw at Kamala Harris, blowing harmlessly back in their faces. They seem spent, totally exhausted. And it's embarrassing, quite frankly.

I'm so doubting this.

The obvious reason is that a huge portion of his base (Evangelicals and racists and misogynists) will pee blood if he does this.

Haley isn't stupid and won't take it. It won't help her. It will "help her" even less than it helped Paul Ryan to run with a loser like Romney.

Trump's inner circle will collapse into a circular firing squad, because half of them are devout political Christians who lionize Pence.

I'm agnostic on this. But enough smart people are concerned about it that I'm not going

to be the first in line. As I've written before, I'd take a W.H.O., European or Israeli or Canadian vaccine in a second. But when has Trump ever presided over something that succeeded?

a piece of shit. I watched that movie with other film students and John Milius was sitting right there in the screening room watching us watch his movie as we tried not to wet our pants. I lacerated the inside of my mouth trying not to laugh.

Huge fan of the movie Akira (1988)

Now, I know that's old school. But it's still a movie I watch every few years and think about from time to time. Not only was the animation extraordinary (for its time), but the ideas explored in that movie are fascinating. What struck me about it at the time is that it was able to juggle themes that IMO were deeper and more intriguing than you ordinarily saw explored in movies of that era.

I also appreciated the ambiguity of the ending, because it gives the viewer a lot to think about.

I wish I knew more about modern anime trends.

This paradox resulted in McSally actually saying that Arizona towns and cities should

fend for themselves during the pandemic. "They're on their own." She made those statements at a public event covered by news media, and then was surprised and furious when they were reported because she said they weren't intended for the public to hear. She was on Trump autopilot. Her mindset was solidly on repeating Trump talking points about throwing the responsibility to deal with COVID to the local municipalities, even if it made her look ridiculous and uncaring in her own state.
