Here we go!

I have a feeling we've finally found ANONYMOUS.

August 18, 2020

I think it is too!

Especially now. He's speaking for "the others" just like in the book A WARNING.

Wow... My initial prediction was way off.

August 18, 2020

Is anybody else wondering if Miles Taylor might be "Anonymous"?

It just seems strange that Miles Taylor, who left DHS in 2019, is just now appearing publically the same week (the day before) the paperback edition of "A Warning" by Anonymous is being published with a new preface.

Some people theorized Anonymous might be Kirstjen Nielsen because of Anonymous' focus on DHS and immigration issues. Well, it seems like Taylor worked right under her.

In "A Warning" Anonymous claims he/she/they would "make themselves known" before the election. Maybe he/she/they will make themselves known without necessarily saying, "I'm Anonymous."

Just something to wonder about. Here are some links for context:

At Homeland Security, I saw firsthand how dangerous Trump is for America

Former Trump DHS official endorses Joe Biden, calls Trump 'dangerous'
Miles Taylor, DHS chief of staff for two years, claims Trump made decisions for political self-interest and accused him of damaging national security.

CNN, after a couple of months of doing well, is backsliding

to intellectual dishonesty. One example: Last night Erin Burnett was doing both-siderism on the USPS, talking about how it had "lost money" and asking querulously, "Isn't there some truth to what Trump is saying about how badly the USPS is being operated?"

It's not a corporation; it's a public service! How many of our institutions are not "profitable"!??

My two cents'

Senator Richard Burr and possibly Ben Sasse are not on the Trump Train.

The timing is perfect IMO. If this committee really wanted to spare the GOP damage, they would have waited until AFTER the RNC Convention. They only would have had to wait a week and a half. But they dropped it right as the DNC convention is getting started.

Democrats own the media all week this week. We're everywhere!

I think this is devastating timing.

Just my opinion.

The last five minutes of Hair: Let the Sunshine In (1979)

Lyrics:

We starve-look at one another
Short of breath
Walking proudly in our winter coats
Wearing smells from laboratories
Facing a dying nation
Of moving paper fantasy
Listening for the new told lies
With supreme visions of lonely tunes

Somewhere inside something
There is a rush of
Greatness, who knows what stands in front of
Our lives? I fashion my future
On films in space
Silence tells me secretly
Everything
Everything

Manchester England England
Manchester England England
Across the Atlantic Sea
And I'm a genius genius
I believe in God
And I believe that God
Believes in Claude
That's me, that's me
That's me

We starve-look
At one another
Short of breath
Walking proudly in our winter coats
Wearing smells from laboratories
Facing a dying nation
Of moving paper fantasy
Listening for the new told lies
With supreme visions of lonely tunes

Singing
Our space songs on a spider web sitar
Life is around you and in you
Answer for Timothy Leary, dearie

Let the sunshine
Let the sunshine in
The sunshine in
Let the sunshine
Let the sunshine in
The sunshine in
Let the sunshine
Let the sunshine in
The sun shine in...

I just cancelled something scheduled for today for the exact same reason.

My heart goes out to you and every DUer suffering from insomnia, because insomnia can really affect every aspect of life, including mood and cognitive function.

I'm trying a lot of different things but they don't always work:

Full spectrum CBD oil
Lemon Balm
L-Theanine
A product called "Sleep" put out by Nootropic Depot that contains Lemon Balm Extract, Uridine Monophosphate, Bacopa Monnieri Extract, Magnolia Bark Extract, Oleamide, PrimaVie® Purified Shilajit (this is not an endorsement or advertisement, since I can't yet tell how well it works)
Phosphatidylserine
Magnesium L-threonate

Sometimes I take a tablespoon of black seed oil, which relaxes the upper respiratory muscles for the kind of anxiety that makes you feel a little short of breath. Beet root extracts might also help with this.

Two things I have but don't use very often because they contain alcohol and valerian (valerian sometimes gives me restless legs syndrome): Anxiety Soother and Valerian tincture by Herb Pharm.

I suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome so some things like melatonin or any over-the-counter sleep aid that work for other people make RLS much worse, so I avoid those (but I really wish I could take them). Valerian may also set off restless legs.

Some DUers have recommended something called Ashwagandha. I have this but haven't integrated it into my sleep stack because I need to do more research.

On and off I'm experimenting with St. John's Wort, also for its mood benefits.

Best of luck to you and everyone else here who suffers from intractable insomnia.

If any DUers see mistakes or errors in anything I'm taking, or have other recommendations, please advise!

Here's a link

https://www.mcconnell.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=ContactForm

Yes, that's the contact form for McConnell. I know what you're thinking: What's the point?

Tell him to get the Senate back into session and save the USPS.

Tell him your personal story of why you need the USPS to function smoothly. You can do like I did and leave out any mention of the election or ballots. You can even fib and say you're a Republican. You can tell him you are incurring late fees from bills you didn't pay late. Or that you are in voluntary lockdown due to the virus and dependent upon the USPS for medicine and food.

It can't hurt and it takes thirty seconds.

There's also the accumulative impact of "let the mail wait another day."

Over a period of a few days, that once small or manageable pile of mail left over from the day before grows larger and more unmanageable. No overtime to catch up. Now multiply that times 80 days, and you've got a huge mess.

August 14, 2020

Yeah, I hate that he is so successful at this.

Russian Bounties are but a distant memory, despite the vow of many reporters to "Stay on this, not let it go," and so many other travesties are wisps of smoke.

I guess it could be the Durham Investigation, or rather Barr's perversion of the findings. I expect Trump to do something with that behind the scenes. There's Sen Ron Johnson and his efforts.
