I get my second shot this week.
The first thing I am going to do (when side effects are done) is go see a movie. I know that's small, but I want to live like a human being again.
The reason Biden is popular is no secret: He does popular things on important issues
(CNN)President Joe Biden's approval hasn't moved in two months. He had an average 55% approval rating at the beginning of his presidency. Two months later, Biden's approval rating stands at 54%. That's less movement than even former President Donald Trump had during his first few months on the job, and opinion on Trump was notoriously stagnant.
Biden's secret to success is simple: he's addressing the issues Americans care about, while his weaker issues are those that most Americans don't seem as worried about.
You can see this well in Gallup polling and a newly released ABC News/Ipsos poll.
Despite Biden getting no questions on it during his first press conference, coronavirus remains the top problem on Americans' minds. According to Gallup, 25% say it is -- a percentage that hasn't fallen below 22% in the last seven months.
Biden's positive rating on handling the coronavirus is at 72% in the ABC News/Ipsos poll. That's the highest it's ever been in that survey. The same respondents give him a 75% approval on distributing coronavirus vaccines specifically.

NJ-02: Van Drew opponent was shot at, beaten by cops -- then became one
In 2020, New Jersey Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew attacked his Democrat opponent, Amy Kennedy, for wanting to "defund the police."
Kennedy never used those words, instead expressing openness to some ideas that have been championed under that slogan, such as reallocating funds to make healthy communities. But Van Drews line of attack may have helped him win reelection by a relatively comfortable margin, as the phrase backfired for some Democrats across the country.
Van Drew could face a challenger in 2022 who might not be as vulnerable to such charges: A Black man who as a teenager was shot at, beaten and arrested by three white police officers in Newark in a case of mistaken identity then went on to a decadeslong career in law enforcement.
Tim Alexander, a 55-year-old political newcomer, is seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jerseys 2nd District to challenge Van Drew, the Democrat-turned-Republican who pledged his undying support in late 2019 to then-President Donald Trump and has arguably become the state delegations most controversial member.
Alexander's background could provide a rare case in which a candidate can speak firsthand about police brutality without risking being pegged as anti-police. His website states police brutality is real but that hes not a proponent of defunding the police.

Proud Boy who was present for Capitol riot planning run for Illinois Senate
The former leader of the Chicago chapter of the Proud Boys says he plans to run for the Illinois Senate after being present for the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol thats prompted federal criminal charges against roughly 20 other members of the far-right group.
Edgar Remy Del Toro Gonzalez told the Sun-Times that hes collecting signatures to challenge state Sen. Antonio Munoz, D-Chicago, in next years election. Munozs 1st District covers portions of the citys South and West sides.
I will be the voice and the muscle for many in our state, said Gonzalez, who plans to run as an independent, in a series of Twitter messages.
One hitch, however, state election rules prevent independent candidates running in next years election from circulating petitions until March 29, 2022, meaning any signatures Gonzalez has already collected are worthless.
Though Gonzalez no longer serves as president of the Proud Boys Chicago faction, he is still a member of the all-male neo-fascist groups overarching Northern Illinois chapter. In recent months, he has been photographed alongside some of the groups most prominent leaders.
On Jan. 6, Gonzalez was caught on tape congregating outside the Capitol as scores of people stormed the building in an apparent attempt to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election.

(CNN)San Francisco is launching a pilot program that will guarantee monthly income for artists affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mayor London Breed announced the program on Thursday in a news release. It would guarantee monthly payments of $1,000 for around 130 San Francisco artists for six months beginning in May.
The city partnered with the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in an effort to reactivate the economy and the arts in San Francisco, according to the release.
"The cash relief program will support artists living and working in the City of San Francisco who have been disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," the release said.
"From the first day the pandemic arrived in San Francisco, we knew that this health crisis would impact artists, and artists of color in particular," Breed said in a statement. "Our artists make San Francisco special, and bring so much life and energy to our city. The arts are critical to our local economy and are an essential part of our long-term recovery. If we help the arts recover, the arts will help San Francisco recover."
This pilot income program is part of several guaranteed income programs the city of San Francisco is developing to help residents and "promote economic stability and recovery," the release said.
