RandySF's JournalAnn Kirkpatrick to challenge John McCain for Senate in 2016
Republicans have a big built-in advantage in red-leaning Arizona. But Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, who announced on Tuesday that shell challenge GOP Sen. John McCain in 2016, may be the partys best chance at taking the Senate seat from the longtime lawmaker.
Boasting about her Arizona roots and small business experience, the 65-year-old, three-term lawmaker from Flagstaff said in a video announcing her bid that while she respects McCains service to the country, I just believe our states changing.
Arizonans should have a real choice who they send to the United States Senate, she added.
While McCain, who is seeking a sixth term, has name recognition especially as a former Republican presidential nominee and current chairman of the Senate Armed Services committee one recent poll shows him struggling among Arizona voters. According to a survey earlier this month by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling, just 41% said they approved of McCains job performance, compared to 50% who disapprove. To make matters worse, just 21% who identified themselves as very conservative said they approved of how the lawmaker was doing.
In a hypothetical, head-to-head matchup, McCain is leading Kirkpatrick by just six points 42% to 36% according to PPP, with 23% saying they arent sure.

Josh Duggar sued Arkansas in 2007 because they investigated his sexual assaults
Josh Duggar filed a lawsuit against Arkansas Department of Human Services in 2007, shortly after the agency began investigating him for multiple charges of sexual assault, In Touch Weekly reports.
Though Springdale police declined to prosecute Josh Duggar for molesting several girls including some of his sisters in 2006, the department referred Duggars file to the states Families in Need of Services agency, a body that monitors criminal cases against juveniles. Families in Need, in turn, informed Arkansas Department of Human Services of the allegations against the former star in TLCs hit reality show, 19 Kids and Counting.
During the course of the Department of Human Services investigative proceedings, Josh Duggar took issue with the municipal entity and filed suit. A trial was held on August 6, 2007, writes In Touch Weekly. However, the results of the investigation into the Duggars and Joshs trial are sealed.
Born on March 3, 1988, Josh Duggar would have been 19 years old at the time of his trial. ArkansasOnline points out that one of Duggars victims is still a minor. Even if the survivor is nearing 18 years of age, she would have been at most 9 years old during the summer her brother appeared in court to defend himself against years of sexual assault charges.

Arkansas Trooper Chosen By Duggar Listed 'Kinki Kids' As Online Interest
The Arkansas state trooper who reportedly gave the young Josh Duggar a very stern talk once had a Yahoo profile in which he detailed his own sexual interest in children, according to a 2009 court document.
The Pulaski County, Arkansas, risk assessment document, which is publicly available online and was posted by Jezebel on Wednesday, detailed the criminal history of the former officer, Joe Hutchens, who is now serving a 56-year sentence on child porn charges.
When Hutchens was still working as a trooper in 2006, Jim Bob Duggar approached him with the information that the teenaged Josh had sexually molested someone, according to a police report obtained by InTouch. Josh had, in fact, "forcibly fondled" five underage girls, some of whom were his sisters. Hutchens did not officially report the teens actions but instead gave him a very stern talk, the report said...
The document states that Hutchens Yahoo profile username was dadsluv2002 and that his profile listed such interests as Kinki Kids, Child Play series, Strangers with Candy, Puberty and Preschools. The report also states that between 2004 and 2005, Hutchens spent considerable time on his computer viewing child porn.

Duggar Dad's Political Platform: Incest Should Be Punishable by Death
Last week, 19 Kids and Countings Josh Duggar admitted that he molested his sisters when he was a teenager. Though his parents Jim Bob and Michelle successfully helped him avoid prosecution for his crimes, a couple of men have defended the way the Duggars handled the abusive situation in their home. Mike Huckabee has stood by the family in the wake of the scandal, and Jessa Duggars father-in-law Michael Seewald has attested that Jim Bob and Michelle acted in a way that godly parents should.
But what does Jim Bob think of his own response to his sons familial abuse? In a brief statement to People, Jim Bob and Michelle said last week that that dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before. Maybe thats because Jim Bob publicly stated during his 2002 campaign for U.S. Senate that he thinks incest should be punishable by death.
Jim Bobs platform on his campaign websitepreserved via web cachestates that he believes rape and incest represent heinous crimes and as such should be treated as capital crimes.
Jim Bob lost the Republican nomination for Senate to Arkansas incumbent Senator Tim Hutchinson. His son Josh remained very much alive and went on to molest several underage girls including some of his sisters from 2002-2003.

Bernie Sanders: 'Maybe I shouldn't say this: I like Hillary Clinton'
Bernie Sanders, the independent Vermont senator who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination on 2016, on Sunday denied that he would be a spoiler for the electoral chances of the establishment favourite and said: Maybe I shouldnt say this: I like Hillary Clinton.
Sanders also asked if the media would allow us to have a serious debate, and said: Or is the only way you get media attention by ripping apart somebody else?
Clinton is the clear frontrunner for the Democratic nomination to succeed Barack Obama in the White House, polling well over 50% ahead of Sanders, the only other declared candidate, and potential contenders such as former Maryland governor Martin OMalley and the former Virginia senator Jim Webb.
Sanders, a self-declared democratic socialist who has repeatedly championed social reform on a Scandinavian model and attacked the influence and behaviour of the wealthiest sections of society, appeared on CNN. He was asked how he differed from Clinton on income inequality, a key issue in both campaigns so far.

Male Texas lawmakers nearly fistfight on House floor after GOP women defect from anti-abortion bill
An abortion battle in the Texas legislature nearly turned into a fistfight on Sunday night after several Republican women changed their mind about a bill that would ban health insurance from covering abortions.
According to the Houston Chronicle, House sergeants had to stop Republican state Rep. Jonathan Stickland from attacking Rep. Byron Cook (R) after Senate Bill 575 did not make it to the House floor as he expected.
Cook had reportedly promised to move SB 575 out of the State Affairs Committee to the Calendars Committee if Stickland agreed to drop an amendment that would have banned abortions based on fetal abnormalities.
Although Cook kept his word, three Republican women on the Calendars Committee Reps. Sarah Davis, Debbie Riddle and Patricia Harless backed out of supporting the bill at the last minute and sided with the Democrats, killing the measure with a 7-7 vote.
At around 9:30 p.m., an enraged Stickland got in Cooks face on the House floor. After a brief yelling match and nearly coming to blows, House sergeants got in between the two to prevent the scuffle from continuing, The Texas Tribune reported.

Marvel's Daredevil is Netflix's Highest Rated TV Show
According to a report from Business Insider, Marvels Daredevil is the top-rated TV series on Netflix, which is semi-surprising considering all of the hit shows Netflix has to offer.
As you know, Netflix uses a five-star rating system for users to rate their TV shows. Currently, Marvels Daredevil has a 4.6 star rating, which is 0.1 stars better than Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and Sherlock, according to the report.
While I dont know if Daredevil is truly better than Breaking Bad or Sherlock, its definitely as good or better than House of Cards, and its really an honor to even be mentioned along with such great shows.
Heading into the first season, if you told me that Daredevil would be thought of as highly as those three shows, I dont know if I would have believed you. So much had to go right in Steven DeKnights vision of Daredevil for that to happen, and it appears that it has.
