Eric Clapton Struggling to Play Guitar Because of Nerve System Damage

Nerve damage and age are robbing Eric Clapton's ability to play the guitar.

The 71-year-old revealed his condition in an interview with Classic Guitar magazine, saying that he's "been in a lot of pain the last year."

Clapton went on to further describe his condition:

"It started with lower back pain and turned into what they call peripheral neuropathy, which is where you feel like you have electric shocks going down your leg. And I've had to figure out how to deal with some other things from getting old."

According to the Mayo Clinic, peripheral neuropathy may be inherited or caused by injury, infection and exposure to toxins.

Despite these setbacks, the rocker remains prolific, recently releasing "I Still Do," his 23rd solo album. He even expressed surprise at his own longevity.

Bernie Sanders' Supporters Decry Elizabeth Warren's Endorsement of Hillary Clinton

While some of Warren’s supporters see her endorsement of Clinton as necessary to stop Donald Trump from claiming the Oval Office come November, several others believe that Elizabeth Warren has betrayed her progressive agenda by siding with someone whom they essentially see as a corrupt and warmongering political leader.

As Vox reports, Warren’s Facebook page “erupted with rage and disappointment from Bernie Sanders supporters” after news of her endorsing Hillary Clinton poured in.

The disgruntled supporters are not only making their voices heard on Facebook. Even on YouTube, a chunk of Bernie Sanders’ supporters vented their ire on Warren’s decision to endorse Hillary Clinton. While many called on her to reconsider her decision, others termed her a “sellout,” a “pseudo progressive neoliberal,” and one commenter even suggested that she was similar to a “parasite” who displayed “gross opportunism” in deciding to support Clinton.

Clinton hires former Sanders aide

Kunoor Ojha, the former Sanders aide, will serve as the Clinton campaign's national campus and student organizing director, tasked with listening to young voters and convincing them to back Clinton.

This is the Clinton campaign's first major hire from the Sanders campaign.

Anne Hubert, a former Viacom senior vice president, will lead the millennial outreach effort.

Sarah Audelo, former political director at Rock the Vote, will be Clinton's youth vote director.

"The team will travel the country and listen directly to millennial voters -- including students, parents, workers, and organizers -- to ensure that they have the voice at the table and that the campaign is addressing the issues that matter most," a Clinton aide said. "They will also serve as a resource for state teams to ensure that every state has an aggressive program to reach millennial voters."

Two Democrats Win California’s Open Senate Primary

LOS ANGELES — Two Democrats will battle each other to become California’s next United States senator, after winning the top two spots in an open primary on Tuesday.

The intraparty fight between Kamala Harris, the state’s attorney general, and Loretta Sanchez, a congresswoman from Orange County, will be the first to shut out Republicans since California approved nonpartisan primaries in 2010.

Ms. Harris and Ms. Sanchez defeated a crowded field that included two former chairmen of the State Republican Party. Ms. Harris, who has received the official backing of the State Democratic Party, captured 40 percent of the vote, and Ms. Sanchez 17 percent, with 55 percent of the precincts reporting.

The campaign to replace Barbara Boxer, a Democrat who was first elected in 1992, is the first for an open Senate seat in California in more than a generation.

I also have a gnawing feeling we might be facing Trump this Fall.

I still say Hillary is the odds-on favorite to win the White, but I also think she might be running against Paul Ryan instead of Donald Trump. The party leadership is watching the meltdown in horror and could very well find a way to get the Donald to step away. Hell, he may even decide, himself that running a general election against a Clinton is not as fun as beating up on 'Little Marco".

I'm not saying it's a certainty, but I won't be shocked.

I'm calling the DC primary for Hillary.

No returns yet. But I suspect she'll finish out front Tuesday night.

Bernie wants another $2.70 from you.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Wednesday sent out a fundraising email vowing to continue to fight for every vote and delegate — even after rival Hillary Clinton became the party's presumptive presidential nominee.

"When we began this campaign a little over a year ago we were considered to be a fringe campaign. But over the last year, I think that has changed just a little bit," Sanders said in the email.

The Vermont senator then touted his wins in 22 state primaries and caucuses. He said he is fighting to "transform our country," and urged people to "understand that we are in this together."
Sanders said he plans to fight for every vote in Tuesday's primary in Washington, D.C., and then vowed to bring his fight to the Democratic National Convention in July.

Still, he admitted there is a "very, very steep fight."

"But you know that what we are doing is about more than Bernie Sanders," he said in he email. "It is all of us together. It is what this movement is about. It is millions of people from coast to coast standing up and looking around them and knowing that we can do much, much better as a nation."

The email urges supporters to donate $2.70 to his campaign to help fight for a progressive future.
