RandySF's JournalTrump blames GOP as Dems top RNC ratings
GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump distanced himself from the planning of last weeks Republican National Convention after the Democrats event, which ended Thursday, posted higher television ratings.
I didnt produce the show I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday, the Republican presidential nominee told The New York Times when asked about the differences between the two parties conventions.
Neilson ratings data obtained by the Los Angeles Times found that Democrats edged out Republicans during each of the first three nights of the convention. Ratings for Thursday night have not been released, so it is not yet possible to compare ratings for Trumps and Democrat Hillary Clintons acceptance speeches.

The DCCC was just hacked
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) on Friday confirmed reports that it had been hacked, saying the breach is similar to the one that hit the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
"The DCCC can confirm that we have been the target of a cybersecurity incident, spokeswoman Meredith Kelly said in a statement. Upon discovering the issue, we immediately took action and engaged with CrowdStrike, a leading forensic investigator, to assist us in addressing this incident.
The investigation is ongoing, she added. Based on the information we have to date, weve been advised by investigators that this is similar to other recent incidents, including the DNC breach.

Schumer predicts a Democratic Senate in 2017
PHILADELPHIA Chuck Schumer is feeling good enough about the battle for Senate control to essentially predict hell be majority leader next year. Not only that, the veteran New York Democrat believes his party is on the cusp of something much bigger: An era of electoral dominance.
Were going to have a Democratic generation. [President Barack Obama] helped create it. But its just where Americas moving demographically, ideologically and in every way, Schumer told POLITICO in a lengthy interview this week at the Democratic National Convention. Well have a mandate to get something done.
Schumers rosy outlook may be at odds with the many headaches confronting him if Democrats manage to pick up the four seats they need to flip the Senate.
The day after the election, Senate Democrats will be on defense. The party will face an awful map in the 2018 midterm and long odds to hang on to the Senate if they manage to win it this year, compounded by the potential for an electoral backlash if Hillary Clinton becomes president.

Does THIS look like a credible publication?Mike Pence advocated for 'conversion therapy'
California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom said Indiana Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence "advocated for diverting taxpayer dollars to so-called conversion therapy."
Pences own words on his campaign website from 2000 make his stance, at least at the time, very clear: "Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior."
Its unknown if Pence has changed his position on the issue. But he continues to be at the center of gay rights controversy. And the Republican National Convention last week backed a platform that critics say does little to block the controversial practice.
