Trump’s Behavior Similar To Male Chimpanzee, Says Jane Goodall

Donald Trump’s antics remind famed anthropologist Jane Goodall of the primates she spent decades studying in the wild.

“In many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals,” Goodall told The Atlantic. “In order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks.”

Goodall added, “the more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position.”

To date, we’ve not seen Trump drag branches or throw rocks, although anything is possible. Instead of physical displays, the Republican presidential nominee has stuck to verbal ones ― bragging about his penis, launching personal attacks and resorting to racist and sexist insults.

Trump is set to debate his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, on Sept. 26. When it happens, Goodall told The Atlantic she’ll be thinking of “Mike,” a chimpanzee she studied that displayed dominance by kicking kerosene cans, creating a racket that sent would-be challengers fleeing.

White Nationalist: Trump's online support has been crucial in mainstreaming hate.

@JaredTSwift said some of the support for Trump was in jest, but for most of his cohorts, it’s sincere. He even claimed to have voted for Trump in the primary himself, wherever it is he lives, and said he’d vote for him in the general, too.

“In a sense, we’ve managed to push white nationalism into a very mainstream position,” he said. “Trump’s online support has been crucial to his success, I believe, and the fact is that his biggest and most devoted online supporters are white nationalists. Now, we’ve pushed the Overton window. People have adopted our rhetoric, sometimes without even realizing it. We’re setting up for a massive cultural shift.”

Donald Trump Jr. says media would be ‘warming up the gas chamber’ if Trump lied like Clinton

In comments to a local Philadelphia radio station Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr. argued that the media was ignoring Hillary Clinton's lies and distortions, and that if his father did the same thing, it would be "warming up the gas chamber."

“The media has been her number-one surrogate in this. Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest. But the media has built her up. They’ve let her slide on every indiscrepancy [sic], on every lie, on every DNC game trying to get Bernie Sanders out of this thing," Trump Jr. said.

He added: "If Republicans were doing that, they'd be warming up the gas chamber right now."

A spokesman for Clinton's campaign tweeted the comments Thursday morning, agreeing with a reporter who labeled them a Holocaust joke.

Ttump: I kiss Ivanka as often as I can.

“The Dr. Oz Show” reportedly edited out the portion of an interview Donald Trump where the GOP presidential nominee talked about how often he likes to kiss his 34-year-old daughter Ivanka.

Trump's appearance on the show was filmed Wednesday and aired Thursday. During the interview, Ivanka Trump came onstage and kissed both her dad and host Mehmet Oz.

When Oz commented on Ivanka Trump’s kiss, her father said he kisses her “as often as I can,” according to reports.

Bloomberg: Breitbart writer Milo makes money from gay “sugar daddies”

“Alt-Right” leader, and Breitbart News writer, Milo Yiannopoulos, was profiled today by Joel Stein in Bloomberg News.

As background, the Alt-Right are white supremacists, many of whom have a reverence for vulgar Nazi imagery, who also have issues with women, gays, Muslims and Jews. And Breitbart is the Web site of Donald Trump’s campaign manager Stephen Bannon. Brannon bragged earlier this summer that Breitbart was “the platform for the alt-right.” So this story directly reflects on the Trump campaign.

The profile alleges that Yiannopoulos said that the last time he was in Los Angeles, he was picked up at a bar by a man who gave him $10,000 after a night of sex. Yiannopoulos says the man gave him another $10,000 following a second evening of fun. According to new stories, Yiannopoulos was in Los Angeles as recently as this past May 31 (possibly later).

This claim that Yiannopoulos receives money from “sugar daddies” comes immediately after the profile tells us that Breitbart only pays some of the $1 million cost of Yiannopoulos’ nearly 30 staff members. Beyond Breitbart, the staff salaries are also subsidized by donations from conservatives, and from Yiannopoulos own family money, according to the story.

Dr. Oz said that Trump fave him the same documentation that any new patient would provide. But when I moved to California, my old Dr. Back East sent a thick fucking package to my new physician. Am I wrong in questioning Oz?

Real-time Election Day projections to buck tradition

PALO ALTO, Calif. — For decades, news organizations have refrained from releasing early results in presidential battleground states on Election Day, adhering to a strict, time-honored embargo until a majority of polls there have closed.

Now, a group of data scientists, journalists and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs is seeking to upend that reporting tradition, providing detailed projections of who is winning at any given time on Election Day in key swing states, and updating the information in real time from dawn to dusk.

The plan is likely to cause a stir among those involved in reporting election results and in political circles, who worry about both accuracy and an adverse effect on how people vote.

Previous early calls in presidential races have prompted congressional inquiries.

The company spearheading the effort, VoteCastr, plans real-time projections of presidential and Senate races in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

It plans to publish a map and tables of its projected results on Slate, an online newsmagazine.
