Kasich to speak at Democratic Convention on behalf of Biden

Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) is expected to speak on behalf of former Vice President Joe Biden at the Democratic National Convention next month.

Itís unclear if Kasich will explicitly endorse the presumptive Democratic nominee when he speaks at the convention. But the expected remarks would amount to a major show of support for Biden by a lifelong Republican who rose to political prominence amid the Tea Party movement a decade ago.

The plans were first reported on Monday by The Associated Press. Spokespeople for Bidenís campaign and the Democratic National Committee did not immediately respond to The Hillís request for comment.

Kasich, who unsuccessfully ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, has been fiercely critical of President Trump, going as far as to call for his impeachment last year.

Kasichís expected speech on Bidenís behalf could also give the former vice president a boost in Ohio, a longtime swing state that has increasingly moved in Republicansí favor in recent years. During his 2016 presidential bid, Ohio was the only state Kasich won.

Kasich isnít the only Republican supporting Bidenís campaign to oust Trump in November. A handful of prominent Republicans founded a political action committee, The Lincoln Project, late last year to oppose the presidentís reelection. The group has spent heavily on advertising criticizing Trump in recent months.

I'm a simple math kind of girl.... If John Kasich can sway 10,000 independent or Republican voters in Ohio to vote for Joe Biden then Joe Biden wins Ohio. If Joe Biden wins Ohio he becomes the next President of the United States. Simple math.

Congressman John Lewis's Congressional Seat...

I apologize if this too sensative...because it is...but I keep thinking...What will happen to his congressional seat? Gov. Kemp is a trumpian republican...does he fill the seat? Do we have a Democrat to run in the Georgia 5th District...? Hard to keep tabs on everything...

Again, I apologise for poor timing...RIP Congressman Lewis...

Lincoln Project Ads!

These ads kick butt! They are smart, to the point in a brief minute or less...I sure hope we will see more tough, direct ads from our Democrats come September...It really wouldn't hurt to see more Biden ads soon that are equal to the quality of the Lincoln Project...

I know we ...me, I need to chill and be patient...take a leap of faith here...
